hello !! if it's not a bother to ask, what terrains were u using on ur unnamed hood post ^w^

Hi, it's no bother. (: I'm not sure if you mean the SC4-files or the actual terrain type of the 'hood and subhoods, so I'm including both.

The main hood, Downtown and the military base all use the Rural Charm Lush terrain by Criquette and the roads from the same creator with added sidewalk by wiksims.

And for the SC4-files: The main hood: Iberian (MTS) Downtown: FB-Freezer University (SFS-folder) The military base: 3 (T$R)

The subhood Bleakfort uses a snowy default dirt terrain and roads from NNNNatali on MTS. And the SC4-file is FB-Simarctica (SFS folder). Though mine is slightly edited to fit my needs.

Unfortunately, I think this rules unironically. This rips hard. All colors used, no extra shades/tones- there were some...fun problems with lining and ordering colors, but it turned out great!

I also fiddled with some filters as I am wont to do and made some little alts below the cut-

I call these 'Blacklight' and 'Hyperneon' variants.

This cash register is from ATS’s Newspaper Kiosk set, there’s also a wooden cash box which is pretty similar (and that I thought was this one) in the Old Market set. I think I use that one in the camp site.

I agree! I really like the sweater part of the original, but overall, it wasn’t my style. I like how it turned out this way! :D

I was going to suggest the same mod. :) I have customer selector in my game and noticed no conflicts. I did notice lots of kids showing up on the lot though! :D Unfortunately they don't seem to come with their parents, but it is really nice that they show up on their own, instead of needing to be invited or teleported.

Hello! I love your Volcano island and Oceanside in general! It is one of my favorite BACCes! Also wanted to ask WCIF AL walk-in closet with shuttered door (like in Amaryllis's bedroom) and how you made Volcano island have rural roads, while Oceanside has asphalt roads? How this is possible road mods affect main hood and vacation hood differently?

For Volcano Island I am using Stev84 Country Roads defaultreplacement but I am using the dirt terrain version. When I created thevacation hood I just selected “dirt” instead of “lush” for the terrain! Easy Peasy!Oceanside uses CuriousB’s lush default replacement. So no special mod, just different terrain for the two hoods. 😊

You placed lots off the road using lot adjuster? And does it work normally? Sims come back from community lots without getting stuck? Sorry I am asking so much. I allways wanted to try it, but I was afraid of corrupting hoods.

Asking is not a problem, my dear. :) 

So long as the lots have the appropriate portals, it’s fine. The roads are actually meaningless to the game in terms of moving Sims off of/onto and between lots; it’s the portals that direct leaving/returning playables, walkbys, and vehicles. On a non-beach lot, there are three sets of portals on a lot, which you can see and safely move around the lot if you use the Portal Revealer. There’s one set each for pedestrians, service vehicles (like for maids, gardeners, etc.), and carpools/taxis. So long as all three sets are on the lot, all forms of transportation to and from the lot will work, with or without roads removed. If any of the portals get accidentally deleted, then you’ll have problems, but using the Lot Adjuster to remove roads and move lots off-road does not delete any of the portals, unless you tell it to do so. I have a small off-road military base in the retro-Strangetown that I’m building and that I’ve tested all forms of transport on and it works fine. I’ve had no trouble in Greenacre, the all-off-road neighborhood, either.

That said, I deliberately removed the vehicle portals from those cabin lots, and they also don’t have community-lot phones. I’m hoping this will mean that there will be no tour guide on the lots. I’ve created an empty “check-in” hotel lot for the vacationing Sims to actually arrive at in the airport shuttle, to use if they’re going to be staying in any of the off-road “hotels,” since they have no vehicle portals, only pedestrian portals. They will then have to walk to the lot they want to use and check in there, and then they will only be able to walk to and from their cabin, if they want to leave the lot. I’m not sure if this will work, but I made a back-up just before removing the vehicle portals from the lots, so if it doesn’t work, I can restore the backup.

So that’s what I’d do, if you want to experiment with the concept. Backup the neighborhood, do your screwing around, and test thoroughly. If it doesn’t work, restore your backup.

Admittedly, when I first thought about this months ago, Julianna was the name that stuck for me. But over time (and I guess as Jules develops as a character in my hood), it doesn’t feel right.

Me too, Julia feels like the most sensible result. That said, I don’t think Julia (or Julie, though I don’t see Jules as a Julie) would give Jules too much grief. I want her to hate her full name.

I've always imagined that Alexandria prefers Alex, and was the one who had Jules officially named with the nickname form of the name to sidestep her having to deal with it all her life like she has. (I know people who've done this. Maggie vs. Margaret on the birth certificate, for example.) Maybe Jules then reacts back against that idea and would rather have the longer, more traditional/feminine form instead?                

I like this level of detail :D. IMO Jules is too nick-namey to commit to a birth certificate, unlike Maggie et al. I think Alexandra would have named their child, so whatever the longer version of Jules’ name is, she is going to hate by default. Gabe and Alex would have called her Jules from an early age, too, so she’d hardly be used to hearing it unless there was a negative connotation, like being in trouble.

I prefer her full name as Julianne (Gabe (in reality - Gabriel) thought it sounded quite noble and intelligent), but for her it sounds too old fashioned and too long (I think it was a misery for her to write it on her notebook at first day at school) so she went as friends called her - Jules.    

I am leaning toward Julianne. I think it has the feeling of being too elderly and elegant for Jules to want to be known as, at this point in her life. Juliet/te perhaps too, but not Julie. I do only see Gabe as Gabe though, not Gabriel. :)

I actually play Destiny a lot more than I play the Sims (or any other game) and Sims is about one of the few I play on the PC. Otherwise I’m on the One/PS4 with Destiny, Fallout 4, Samurai Warriors, Elder Scrolls Online and such. :)

Thank you so much for this conversion :D btw that nuka cola bottle is your conversion too? I found FO 3 version of it by Riekus, but this one from FO 4 is rocket shaped and looks cooler. Is it another of your conversions or you downloaded it? :)                

It is a modified mesh I made to default replace all the drinks in my game and the instant meal.

Oh she knows he’s a major player to blame, but it’s a tough situation and her feelings are very upset and confused. On the one hand, her relationship with Bernie was much higher than it was with Allegra, and her dad was her best friend for most of her life, so she’s ticked with her mum for kicking him out instead of trying to work it out. On the other hand, she feels just as betrayed as Allegra, and the fact that Bernie never apologized to her, or even attempted to make contact after leaving really stings. So she’s definitely mad at both parents, but Allegra being the physically closer one, she gets to feel the brunt of it. (And yes, Charlie’s definitely being a brat about it. c: )
