if you could re-draft the 2014 draft, how would it look like?

The top three are pretty much non-disputable:

1st - Leon Draisaitl (originally 3rd)

2nd - David Pastrnak (originally 25th)

3rd - William Nylander (originally 8th)

Dylan Larkin would have definitely been higher than the original 15th, Brayden Point as well (the guy was drafted 79th), Sam Reinhart would drop out of his original 2nd and so would Aaron Ekblad from his 1st. Jakub Vrana would have also been much lower than 13th - he is talented, with a great shot, but too many hold-backs surrounding and encountering him.

It's literally crazy how many complete busts that draft had in its first round - Michael Dal Colle (5th), Jake Virtanen (6th), Haydn Fleury (7th), Nick Ritchie (10th), Brendan Perlini (12th), Julius Honka (14th)... It's insane to realize that all these guys were drafted WAY before Pasta and it shows you that a high draft position doesn't automatically secure you success in the league.
