Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. How should I pack my wine bottles for transportation?
When packing wine bottles for transportation, it is essential to use proper packaging materials to protect them from any potential damage. Start by placing each bottle in a wine shipping box, ensuring that they fit snugly. Fill any empty spaces with packing materials, such as bubble wrap or foam inserts, to prevent movement during transit. Finally, seal the box securely with tape and label it as fragile.
2. What temperature should wine be transported at?
Wine should be transported at a consistent temperature between 55°F and 65°F (13°C and 18°C). Fluctuations in temperature can negatively affect the wine's flavor and overall quality. Therefore, it is crucial to choose a wine transportation company that offers temperature-controlled shipping options to maintain the ideal conditions for your bottles.
3. How can I track the progress of my wine shipment?
Most reputable wine transportation companies provide tracking capabilities for their shipments. You can usually track your wine shipment by using the tracking number provided by the company. Simply enter the tracking number on the company's website or contact their customer service for updates on the progress of your shipment.
4. Is insurance coverage necessary for wine transportation?
While insurance coverage is not mandatory, it is highly recommended when transporting valuable wine bottles. Insurance provides financial protection in case of any unforeseen circumstances, such as damage or loss during transit. It is advisable to check with the wine transportation company about their insurance policies and coverage options.
5. Can I ship wine internationally?
Yes, it is possible to ship wine internationally; however, there are certain regulations and restrictions that vary from country to country. It is essential to research and comply with the specific import and export regulations of the destination country. Working with a reputable wine transportation company experienced in international shipping can help navigate these complexities.
Conclusion
When it comes to transporting your precious wine bottles, it is crucial to choose a reliable and experiencedwine transportation company. VinEx, WineLogistics, WineShip, WineFreight, and WineExpress are among the best in the industry, offering specialized services to ensure the safe and secure transportation of your bottles. Remember to pack your wine bottles properly, maintain the ideal temperature during transportation, and consider insurance coverage for added protection. With the right wine transportation company, you can raise a glass and enjoy your favorite wines with confidence, knowing that they have been transported safely to your doorstep.

After the Maine
Combeferre and Enjolras discuss Grantaire’s antics at the Barriere du Maine. A just-under-the-wire submission for @a-little-fall-of-pain for the platonic pairs exchange.
[With apologies for the lateness of the hour--it’s two minutes to midnight, but the characters just kept wanting to talk politics at me.]
Enjolras didn't express anger as other men did. He didn't stamp or shout or slam doors or make the inelegant “harumph” noise that certain of their acquaintance engaged in*.
No, an irate Enjolras was distinguishable from his usual habit only in that he somehow grew even more subdued.**
It was in precisely such a mood that Enjolras marched up the three flights of stairs to Combeferre's rooms, turned the key precisely three-quarters of the way around and then back one-eighth, and opened the door. He stepped into the room with a deliberation worthy of Frederick LeMaitre and more gravity than all of the Bourbons combined.
Combeferre glanced up from his reading at the soft click of the closing door. Seeing the look on Enjolras' face, Combeferre promptly closed his book, marking the page with one of Courfeyrac's less discreet political cartoons. There were a number of those on the desk, mostly sticking out of a monograph on voltaic cells and a horticultural reference. The melange was completed with an old issue of Le Globe, several pages of hand-drawn hieroglyphs, various geologic samples, and a stack of case studies on promising treatments for cholera morbus.
“Surely the Cougourde have not defected to the royalists?” Combeferre wracked his not inconsiderable intelligence for other hypotheses. Enjolras at breakfast had been (relatively) buoyant—popular opinion was turning their way by the day, coalitions were being organized, plans were being drawn up. What had changed in the intervening hours? None of the men Combeferre had spoken to at Picpus mentioned new upheavals beyond the epidemic. If Louis Phillipe had issued an edict, he'd surely have heard of it already. Perhaps one of their friends had been arrested? Or fallen ill? Though if someone was ill, he would have been summoned more directly...
Enjolras crossed to the room's other chair (an armchair wedged between bed and window),and buried his face in his hands.
“The Barrière du Maine.”
“You couldn't find anyone?”
When Enjolras didn't answer, Combeferre continued. “It's hardly a surprise--Pontmercy must attend more lectures than all the other law students combined. We could ask Bahorel to check in on Friday.”
The silence was beginning to stretch towards awkwardness when Enjoras looked up. “I sent Grantaire.”
That didn't exactly explain Enjolras' distress. They all knew what Grantaire was like.
“They were playing dominoes,” he continued. “I rather expected that. But he claimed to be earnest, and I thought...I hoped that he meant it this time.”
Disappointment did not suit Enjolras, Combeferre reflected.  Two years before he'd seen Enjolras similarly shifting from quiet, incandescent fury to impotent resignation, but he'd settled quickly enough on determined resolve. Of course, then they'd been in Courfeyrac's rooms regrouping from a stolen revolution, so the circumstances had been slightly higher stakes than today.
Combeferre waited for another long moment. Enjolras wanted to talk, or else he wouldn't have come here and introduced the topic.
“I suppose”, Enjolras began, “that I hoped it all meant something to him. I don't care where he was back in '30, but to keep returning to the Musain and Corinthe as he does... Pontmercy doesn't risk it, you know. Feuilly limits his attendance. But Grantaire is always there. He could gossip with Bossuet in any Latin quarter wineship, throw dice with Bahorel in any cabaret, lounge at the Palais Royale with Courfeyrac—but he always comes to our illegal meetings instead.”
Enjolras waved away the wine glass that Combeferre tried to hand him.
“Why? He claims to believe in me, of all things, but... I knew he wouldn't rouse the artists and artisans of the Barriere du Maine with eloquent arguments. He said he would, and I let him try. I think I wanted to return the favor by believing in him.”
“And this is what went wrong?”
“I didn't really believe in him”, Enjolras conceded. “I wanted to, and I didn't. I can imagine him succeeding on the mission. I can picture it perfectly: Grantaire lounging half out his seat, glass in hand, playing dominoes and making terrible puns. And as he denounces every inconvenience of life and unsatisfying aspect of myth, he'd sprinkle the conversation with barbs against monarchy; he'd connect each personal complaint with a foundational injustice, explain personal wretchedness with the excesses of the state, attack the hypocrisies of society, and—and that's where it falls apart.”
“The first part we've all heard before. At length”, Combeferre agreed.  “Bossuet still uses his peer/pear epigram at least once a week.”
Enjolras nodded. “If he would care enough to focus on the topic at hand, Grantaire could be a persuasive speaker.  If a verbose one. He frequently makes interesting observations and can engage an audience, but he can't persuade anyone to act because he doesn't believe in action. In people. In anyone's ability to improve the world and change its conditions.”
“That is our clever pessimist.”
“He's sometimes insightful, but never incite-full.” Combeferre snorted, but Enjolras continued. “And there's the paradox. I want to believe in him as I believe in all our friends. I wronged him by not believing, and even if that proved true, it was not right. I failed him by not believing he could do what he said he would, and he failed me by not following through. And now---” Enjolras finally gave in to a sigh. “The situation is volatile right now. There's going to be another revolution, and it could start at any time. We need to be prepared. And he's not.”
“And you don't know what to do? Or don't want to?”
“To send him away would betray my principles--men should be free to gather with their friends, in any numbers. To let him stay would betray my principles—that innocents should not suffer from the actions of others. Drunk and rambling he's a liability to our cause; banished he's a liability to our morale. And to be the one to choose, would be greatest betrayal of all—that one person should rule over others.”
“It is a strange pitfall of collaboration, the need to work with others who refuse to cooperate”, Combeferre mused. “How does one abdicate in a republic, if all men rule collectively? For the one who will not participate must become subject to those who will, and yet in accepting such an arrangement those who do become tyrants over those who do not...” Combeferre found himself reaching for the bookshelf, and several less-than-legal essays on political theory stowed there behind the anatomy texts, but stopped himself. Enjolras was talking about friendship and feelings and loyalty, and was not actually intent on refining forms of government.
Though to be fair, it was Enjolras, and most subjects ultimately led back to theories of freedom and governance.
“If all our efforts do succeed, we will face this problem time and again”, Enjolras observed. “And likewise it is the one we already face: if the king and councilors and electors and army all agreed on the sovereignty of the people collectively over themselves, there would be no need for us to act.”
“That is one way to solve the conundrum.”
“Though not perhaps the most timely. We can hardly have a revolution in order to avoid figuring out how to handle Grantaire while preparing for the revolution.”
The man had a point.
“And yet if you asked him, Grantaire would leave.”
Enjolras nodded. “Leave, yes. But not stay away. The spirit may be willing, but the flesh is weak. He would come back, and debase himself in apology, and then return to his usual habits.”
“So do we barricade the stairway at the Corinthe, then?”
“I think”, Enjolras reflected, “we allow Grantaire the same rights as any man in the republic, to determine his own fate where it does not transgress the freedoms of others.”
Combeferre raised his own glass to that.
“But when the fighting the heats up, he will either need to commit or withdraw.” Enjolras added. “For those staking their lives cannot be asked on take on his additional risks. And you and Courfeyrac and Bossuet should continue keeping him off Louisson's case. The poor girl's too intimidated to speak up.”
Combeferre choked on his wine. “We didn't realize you'd noticed.”
“Feuilly told me. He thinks it's better for Grantaire to drink with us than to be out harassing grisettes and waitresses unchecked.”
Combeferre had sometimes thought along those lines, but it was with good reason that their friends joked about Enjolras not being aware that women existed.
“We will”,Combeferre belated agreed, “continue those efforts.”
“Good”, Enjolras agreed. “For now we can do that much. Jean Prouvaire's lent me several books on the rights of women and the specific injustices they face in society, which is a topic I ought to learn more about.”
Combeferre concurred readily; it was an opinion he'd long held. They spoke for a few more minutes—primarily of Combeferre's meeting at Picpus that afternoon—before Enjolras took his leave. He was to meet Courfeyrac and Bahorel for a late supper and debrief, while Combeferre had a standing evening engagement with some of his scientifically-minded former classmates.
It was just as well, he reflected, that Joly had decided to attend tonight. Combeferre now owed him two francs and use of his microscope for winning the “what will Enjolras do about Grantaire's behavior at meetings” betting pool, and it wouldn't do to delay payment.
*Grantaire, by frequency. Though the habit had spread, and this variation on an exaggerated sigh was generally the only warning one had that Jean Prouvaire was well-past infuriated and about to do something spectacularly unwise.***
**What Enjolras would do if pushed beyond this silent fury was a subject of long debate between Courfeyrac and Lesgles. The bet was finally settled, in Courfeyrac's favor, on July 26, 1830.
***Like tackling the gendarme that was hassling Feuilly. Or brandishing an impromptu torch made out of a Royalist newspaper (which had dared publish a bad review of Hugo's latest play).

Wineship: Dura x Saf
Dura would be idly sipping on a bottle Baron's Bloodbrew like a child sipping on soda pop. " Mmmmm... yes.. I agree with this.. I would drink wine with my Courier for days if I could.. perhaps we could help one another drink from other glasses too?" He would mischievously chuckle as he most likely mean that in a morbid level.[[ @safrona-shadowsun XD ]]

Bay Area family lists beachfront Hawaii home with its own resident monk seal for $7.75M
Jinee Tao and Charlie Baxter first got to know 5142 Hoona Road on Kauai's Poipu Beach when they rented it from a friend. When that friend put the beachfront home, one of only a handful on Kauai's south shore, on the market in 2012, the couple jumped on the chance to buy it.
The $4.8-million purchase is far from the only Hawaiian investment for the Tao-Baxters. The Bay Area-based equity investors own a significant stake in the iconic island-inspired clothing line Reyn Spooner. (They also own a big piece of Napa wine supply chain company Wineshipping, among other investments.)

Brickclub 4.12.1
A merciful flashblack to happier times.
“It was on this famous barricade of the Rue de la Chanvrerie, now fallen into profound obscurity, that we are about to shed a little light.”
Damn it, Hugo.
I do like how he explicitly announces the parallel between this and the Waterloo sequence.
Other nice things: the “Pot-aux-Roses/poteau rose” is apt. Grantaire looking into a wineship for its accidental Latin and sticking around for the food is also delightful (and apparently how he finds out where all the best food in Paris is). Of course the guy nicknamed Bossuet says they return out of‘ ‘piété’ (why does Hapgood say pity? that’s not as funny as piety).
Less nice things: the narrative and patrons mocking Mere Houcheloup’s appearance (and Matelotte’s). Courf’s line about the food may be correct, but isn’t exactly kind. Hugo’s funereal ‘and now there’s nothing left of even the street or building’ sets a very somber tone.
Neutral: Mostly this is my American weird-numbering-of-building-levels thing, but having a ‘two story’ house that goes ‘basement/ground floor/first floor/second floor/attic’ is....a way of counting. And it makes me wonder about those eight story buildings around it.
