Girl I just finished the Most Dangerous Game: New York edition and Christoph was flawless as usual also the Runner in this one was awesome loved him but his little sister was just the absolute worst. Josie is a sweet girl but holy shit she is dumber than fuckin soup

I haven't watched either of those, I figured Christoph probably wasn't in them long enough to hold my interest. Might check them out in the future tho!

OMG TELL ME ABOUT DEAD FOR A DOLLAR

I am so madly in love with Max Borlund; he is incredibly handsome in this film. When he takes off his hat and sweeps back his hair … whew, I swoon every time.

The film itself is pretty good; everyone in it performs well. I especially liked Benjamin Bratt in it; he’s a good villainous type. And Willem Dafoe is, well, Willem Dafoe in this movie and I love him. The movie has lots of people I have a crush on in it so I enjoyed it a lot.

Definitely recommend!

NOW HEAR ME OUT! Danse has done some terrible things yes, and that is my first block I outlined becuase of being in the brotherhood and his old way of thinking, but that slides into my next block outlined of wasted potential. The voice lines he says when trading out companions don't really change after Blind Betrayal and I really wish they did. Some companions lines change after Curie becomes a synth and they way they view her changes. So in that aspect, he's wasted potential on how he doesn't say anything at all to Deacon, doesn't appoligize to Hancock or nick, doesn't get off his high horse when talking to Piper, seriously, he needs some character development and a HUGE turning point in his life.

I'm so hung up on him and what his thought patterns had to have changed to after he found out he's a synth, absolutely loosing my mind over here! The poor things traumatized!

Basically in short, he's a great character, his speech with Maxon (calling him Arthur KILLED ME), his small amount of back story, everything is good, but not great. He's missing extra thing that would round out his character better. Yes he was a part of a terrible group at first and yes he's still licking their boots, but I kind of understand in a Stockholm syndrome way?

A question about Esper! :) She refers to John a few times as "dove." Where did that nickname come from and how did she decide on it? :D it's 100% adorable omg

This actually stumped me for quite a bit when writing Esper and Hancock, because I wanted her to have a cute lil' pet name for him as he does for her. Me being me, though, I couldn't just pick anything.

I tried quite a few, but ended up going with "dove" for their symbolism, namely:

Enduring love/monogamy

Finding clarity and direction

Hopefulness

Protection

Up until meeting, befriending, and later romancing Hancock, Esper was in a rough place and didn't really have any of those things. So, once she did find them, the rest is history!

Some Austrian folklore for a fellow Waltz fan! The origin of Krampusnacht originates from Salzburg, Austria and other parts of Southern Germany. Salzburg is where the Krapuslaufen and festival (literally Krampus Run) is held every night on December 5th where people get drunk and dress up like Krampus to run through the streets and terrorize their neighbors.

The whole Krampus thing is so wild, I love it. I didn't realize it originated in Austria (another reason to visit). It's kind of similar to the Perchten tradition, which in turn may be related to a medieval belief in a group of female spirits who traveled at night (especially around the Winter Solstice), visiting homes and holding feasts. That tradition seems to have been centered in Germany and eastern France.

Didn't Christoph mention Krampus one time when he was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon? I'll try to find that interview.

Oh my gosh Hell fire is my absolute FAVORITE bad guy song. The entire Hunchback soundtrack is built around the chorus (like fire hellfire, this fire in my skin") and the sheer visual storytelling of that scene plus Tony Jay's incredible voice makes that so memorable. I LOVE that film.

You wanna know what really pisses me off about these Bernie or Bust types? 45 has more than 40 credible sexual assault allegations thrown at him, heck one of those was even published in a damn magazine column but Biden who has apologized for his "touchy" behavior that made women uncomfortable has only one allegation that isn't even credible due to the accuser being a Russian asset, but they jump on this "Biden is a rapist" take like flies to carrion

45 is definitely a miserable wreck of a person that’s for sure. I haven’t really seen anything about the “biden is a rapist” thing that much in a week or so. But then I haven’t really been looking at bernie-centered sites. I figured it died out haha. All I had seen was that Salon had looked into the story and couldn’t follow any of the threads.
