Here's an excerpt from chapter 3 of Thy Heart Torments, my transmasc!Stephen Maturin AU!

They had been sitting together on the starboard lockers of Surprise's great cabin enjoying each other's company in relative silence - Stephen with a Malay phrasebook he had picked up in Bombay and Jack writing in his serial letter to Sophie - all that afternoon, the sun shining into the cabin as it sank towards the horizon behind them. Stephen had dozed off, it seemed, for he awoke in slow stages in that honey-coloured heat belowdecks to find himself using Jack's bosom as a pillow, pinned to the larger man's side with an arm about one shoulder and resting on his waist.

Hi, thanks for the ask! 👋

Cut Me Open is the title of chapter two of Singularity. This fic is my favorite child. I live off writing emotions and sensory details, and this is me going wild, writing for myself. I imagined a scenario where Shepard wakes up a bit too early and has partial amnesia, and when she goes to pick up Archangel her voice is fucked up and she's hiding her heavily scarred face with a hood, so he doesn't recognize her. I think it's a really fun scenario to play with! It's rough, but here's a peek.

Crossing his arms, Garrus leans his hip against the counter, stretching his neck side to side, then rolling his shoulders. A sensation tingles up the back of her neck and her breath catches. They really never had sex before? The way she feels about him, the way her body reacts thinking about him, can’t be new.   “You’re sure you want to come?” she asks, giving him one last chance to say no. “You’re okay leaving your team on Omega?” He nods, looking more confident and less shaken, less like an unsure recruit and more like the vigilante that sauntered into the room and straddled a chair while his piercing eyes studied her. “You said yourself I could use a break,” he says with a cocky smile that pushes a thousand cocky smiles to the surface of her memory.   “I’ll see you on the ship then?” “What’s the name?”  Of course, he needs to know which ship to board. Where the hell is her head? “The Normandy.” He finds that amusing, and looks a little lighter. “Hm, Cerberus thinks they can manipulate you with shiny, nostalgic toys.” Her brows tick. “I’d need to remember it to be manipulated. The pilot is happy with it, at least. Calls it his baby.” His mandibles spread slightly, a slice of joy. “Joker’s back?” She answers with an indifferent shrug. “I don’t remember him, though.” “Anyone else from the old crew on board?” “Yes, several people, but I don’t remember them either.” She sounds like a glitched vid.  “What do you remember?” he asks, sadness creeping back into his voice.  “Just you,” she says before looking him square in the eye, a moment passes between them as she tries to understand why he’s the only thing she remembers. Why him?  Why this turian and why does she feel so pulled in by him? Based on his expression, she thinks he might be asking himself the same question. Neither of them says a word, though, so she turns to the door and as she walks out of the room something tugs at her, begging her to not leave his side.

Thanks for the ask @spudodell Well, Lady Vera Laurie probably sounds an awful lot more exciting than what I've written, but here goes....you remember that some genius on Tumblr made us all do a chronological re-read of The Charioteer? It got very intense towards the end and I exorcised some of my feelings by imagining what would happen if Ralph wrote to an agony aunt (say, Lady Vera, whoever she is). I found the Ralph one really quick to write. Then I thought it might be fun to do Laurie, but that's much harder. What should he do? I don't know!! I mean, we all know what Ralph thinks he should do. So it's been languishing for a long while. To be honest, I've just re-read and I think it's ready to go and maybe I'll just put it out there. And we can have a bit of fun debating what the standard agony aunt advice should be for Laurie 😲

This one is a lot less fleshed out,,,just came from me listening to But it's Better if You Do by patd and going "oh em gee this is so btk era ghostbat 🤭" I haven't really decided what I want the plot to be but something something Bruce trying to make Khoa jealous in a strip/brulesque club?? idk but I just love the idea of Bruce absolutely faking that he's into it just to try and irritate Khoa......I am soooo normal about them 👍

Thank you, Mia 🥰 This is actually the story I most recently finished (where finished = first draft), just three weeks ago, or so... And the one where the first line in this comes from! So, it still needs some editing and rewriting here and there.

The inspo came while rewatching the pilot, when CJ says, "Five a.m. to six a.m. I can work out, as you see. I can think about personal matters. I can meet an interesting man." I had a vague idea for the first story, then a few more came in – there are currently five total... I even remember writing quite a bit of this at work, lol 🙈

I suck at picking snippets without finding many, many faults in them. This is from the first of those, set in 1999 (circa "A Proportional Response").

It was always especially gratifying to work out after dealing with Hoynes, especially if she could do some kickboxing. Imagining punching the smug smile out of his face was always rather gratifying. The weasely vicepresident would forever be her worst, most incomprehensible mistake, the one time she should have known better but didn’t. C.J. hated the way she behaved around him, letting him walk all over her. Whether that was fear that he would one day use that night of awful judgment against her, or her own shame, she was never sure. The repulsion and resentment still remained, five years in. But today… Today’s thoughts as she ran focused on Sam. Sweet, naïve Sam, who had accidentally slept with a prostitute and – having later found out what she did for a living – wanted to save her, because he knew what was best for her. C.J. loved that ray of sunshine of a man like a brother, but the absolute belief that he could be his friend’s savior, as if that poor woman had no agency, annoyed her. Or maybe, just maybe, what got under her skin were his protests that his personal life and whoever he was friends, or more, with shouldn’t matter.  Welcome to the club, Spanky. We can get jackets made.

A few decades after the mystical veil between the human and supernatural world was shattered there are still efforts done to fully integrate the two societies. What better way to achieve that than an international & interspecies dating show?!

Ten lucky beings are going to be selected for the first ever edition of Monster Match, and embark on a month-long vacation on a tropical island. Follow your heart or mind when making decisions and win the public’s favour. At the end of the month, the fan favourite couple will win a whopping cash prize of €500,000, to keep or split between them.

Couple up, have fun with the various challenges and most importantly stay alive find love!

And beware of what’s lurking in the shadows!

Genre: Reality TV dating show, monster fu- lovers. Love island the game, but with monsters. Strictly 18+!

WIP - some things may still change on the way.

Play as Male or Female.

Choose to be a Sweetheart, a Charmer or a Flirt.

Have fun or stir up some drama between the other contestants!

Find love or do it all for the money.

Split the prize, or keep it all to yourself… if you win.

Choose between 5 gender selectable ROs and two male partial ROs.

Try to figure out what's happening to the eliminated contestants or ignore the gnawing feeling.

Entirely choice based, the stats are there for flavor text. This is an excuse to write monster, ermm, loving content. The story is rated 18+ and will contain NSFW and maybe some gore along with other dubious things. There will be fade to black options and skippable scenes as well as preference options and some pretty tame and sweet routes, but why are you here if monsters are not your thing? Read at your own discretion!

Morgan → Vampire🦇 - M/F - 6’  Tall and pale, with dark hair and crimson eyes, and an infuriating naturally gorgeous body. Always has the hair styled neatly and preferes classy clothes. An incurable flirt. Expect: Blood and biting related activities. Not particularly loyal.

Elindorn / Eli → Deep forest elf 🏹 (basically a drow) - M/F - 5'7 / 6'4  Tall with an athletic swimmer’s body. Dusty lilac skin, long milky white hair and pale silver eyes that seem to look into your soul. Expect: actually… the most well adjusted of the bunch. Elves mate for life.

The bombshell - Blake → Incubus/ Succubus🌶️- obviously M/F - 5’8/ 6’4  Deep brown skin, short curly black hair and vivid blue eyes. Horns and tail in their “true” form. Skimpy clothes to attract potential vict- partners. Expect: open relationship, multiple partners, life… sucking?

Kitai → Kitsune 🦊- M/F - 5'5 / 5'11 (Casa Amor contestant) The shortest of the group, but the most attentive and ready to please. Ivory skin, long jet black hair and yellow eyes.  Expect: probably the sweetest, most wholesome route, tails - nine of them.

Fionnlagh / Fion → Cecaelia 🐙 (yes, tentacles) - M/F - 5'6 / 6'3 (Casa Amor contestant)  Tanned skin, long wavy red hair, and green eyes. Eight crimson tentacles in their “true” form. Expect: foursome options, but otherwise tentacles and fun, dubious consent-ish if you squint.

Partial ROs

Ragnar → Werewolf 🐺 - M - 6’9/ 8' when in werewolf form Only RO available strictly to F MC and only one who will break up with MC if they cheat or don't have the same views. Tall and built like a mountain, with lightly tanned skin, brown hair and beard and kind brown eyes. Covered in tattoos. Expect: *sigh* knotting, breeding, bestialityithink??

Seishish  - Sei  → naga 🐍 (yes 2 🍆) - M - 6'2 / 11' long with tail out  The Host - not being a contestant will limit interactions in the first half of the story, but he is also an endgame RO. Rich olive skin with a golden hue, long wavy platinum blonde hair, hazel snake eyes. Gains a lot of length in trier half-snake form, the tail an iridescent golden colour. Expect: dubious consent-ish if you squint, ovo…ovi… the eggpreg thing.

This is my upcoming Silvergifting fic. It's a WIP, chapter count is still undetermined. Annatar and Celebrimbor work together to create the rings in Ost-in-Edhil, and Celebrimbor catches feels before realizing who exactly he is working with. Celebrimbor threatens to expose him, and well, Annatar threatens to expose their relationship, leading to an agreement between them to let Annatar leave peacefully.

Only Annatar comes back as Sauron with an army, sacks the city, and captures Celebrimbor. Drama and angst ensue. Oh, and Celebrimbor lives. Very excited for this one!
