Day 169 (nice)

Another one for the pearl-but-loz, we've got Deku Pearl! Probably the one I was most excited for because I knew I could just go ham on the sunflowers. Although I was having a hard time figuring out her basic shapes because most deku are guys with not long hair and the deku princess is a bit of a different vibe than i wanted

Anyways she cute :D

I also got a ton of inspiration from @ pistachiozombie's deku oc! you can probably tell by uh the vines and the skirt shape lol

y'know, i keep making a habit of swinging my bat at hornets nests, but i have to say i'm getting so, so tired of people complaining about shows not making perfect sense when they aren't even close to done. we're four episodes into this season of doctor who. we're four episodes into this season of bridgerton. and yet in both fandoms i keep seeing people whine that such and such didn't make sense or it wasn't explained all the way and by god you guys i think maybe explanations might come later in the season. this is something most viewers will recognize as being called a 'plot.'

Sometimes I wake up and I wonder why they made Kazuha’s demo theme Like That.

Like, the fact that they used the song from his teaser for the drumalong festival event means that hoyo definitely knows it too. His teaser contains his main leitmotif along with other important motives from the Inazuma soundtrack (which made it a fantastic preview for the nation’s style since we hadn’t even been there yet) and is overall very representative of Kazuha, but that’s just how the teaser soundtracks are supposed to be. They hint towards the characters’ main motives before we get the full version in the actual demo.

And then they made Kazuha’s demo theme a glorified 4 star theme. There’s really no other way to describe it! I could totally be missing something, but the most prominent musical motif in his demo song is the battle theme. His main motif is nowhere to be found and that’s just really sad because Kazuha’s main motif is so so good. It really does just feel like he got robbed musically in a way that literally no other character who was released around his time was (ie. Eula, Ayaka, and Yoimiya)

Take me to the alternate timeline where we got a cool demo version of Kazuha’s leitmotif instead of what we ended up with. Cuz as cool as his demo video is (and it is! I really do love it!) the music is always so disappointing compared to the teaser

Unpopular opinion but I kind of miss when blogs had a song that would start playing if you visited it in your browser (on a desktop or laptop). That way you could get the proper vibe for your blog for anyone who visited. Welcome to my lair, here’s my soundtrack.
