I finished up a good draft of my SAA presentation yesterday and sent it to my advisors from undergrad. Hopefully they don’t send it back with too many corrections. Today I’m visiting AMNH with a friend which we be busy but fun. Hopefully we can make it into a planetarium show! I also want to read some more of Emily Wilson’s translation of the Odyssey and read up on Teotihuacan for a skype call with my could-be future advisor!

Ever since returning from the field, I have been very productive and diligent to my schedule. This morning I was not, but instead of seeing it as wasted time I want to accept that my brain and body needed that extra hour sitting in bed watching youtube to catch up and be prepared for the long day ahead. I’m attempting to change my mindset this year to treat the time I spend not working as important as the time I do spend working.

Spent today evening deciding how I’m going to use my planner this year - hopefully I’ll get time to actually work on it tomorrow!

Late night studying in the local Barnes and Noble. Unfortunately, after this session, I went to see Alita: Battle Angel which I absolutely hated. I just found it very boring and predictable while also playing into one of my least favorite tropes (men grooming cyborg female children in sexualized adult bodies).
