I know some of you'll are focused on wine for Valentine’s Day. While that’s all good, you should always be drinking wine that makes your senses come alive. Today's adventures start with wine... I was invited to come through Robert Parker's  Matter of Taste. In the house are over 250 wines rated 95+ or above by The WIne Advocate. This is the calm before the storm since I got VIP early entry. Always the best way to go if you can get it. My first stop was @piper_heidsieck, because well..Champagne is always on my brain. After the show I had to stop by Wondee Siam to pick up some Thai food. When I moved to NYC I lived in Hell's Kitchen for three years and Wondee Siam was my spot. It's a little hole in the wall that has some of the best Thai in NYC. You can also BYOB if you want to have wine with your meal. Makes for a cute and cozy date spot. You may have to wait for a table, but it is a delightful experience. My grub for the night is Kanom Jeeb (appetizer) and Basil Fried Rice with chicken. Pairing the food with Pierre Sparr Brut Rosé. Did you know that sparkling rosé is pretty awesome with Thai food? It is indeed (rosé from Provence and Loire works as well). This Pierre pink comes from Alsace and made in the traditional method. This sassy bubbly is crisp on the palate with aromas of berries and citrus. Perfect for anytime. A bottle runs around $20. Worth it! Sometimes the hardest decision I have to make is which wine do I want to for the evening. 🤸‍♀️ A part of me will want to sip like I'm in Spain or France, while another part wants to feel like I'm in Argentina. Today Italy is where it's at! Loving this bottle of Perticaia Montefalco Rosso, it's real nice. 🍷 The red blend of Sangiovese, Sagrantino, and Colorino gives off notes of berries and raspberries. I paired it with pizza and it was the perfect pairing. This wine would be great with a pasta or olive oil dish.  What's also groovy is the wine is around $10-$12. What's in your glass? I was invited to Sotheby's Holiday Wine Tasting. I spent some quality time at the Champagne table..of course. I felt like I was in an episode of Gossip Girl...XOXO. It might surprise you to find out that Sotheby's has a wine shop...yes there are some wines so expensive they will make you clutch your pearls/wallet, but they also have some affordable wines around $20 bucks. There's more...they have their own Champagne that's only $34.99. It's rather tasty and makes you feel fancy.
