It's Battlewinner btw, as a royal she got the special perk of getting to hatch in the hatchery which has lava constantly flowing through it thus she is very red.

Glacier, Blaze and Battlewinner

These girls are from my Lightgiver AU. There nightwings never saw Darkstalker and never flew to the island. Nightwings and icewings are now on Blaze's side because they want the new territories she promised them. Glacier and Battlewinner have some kind of competition for Blaze's affection so that she will give them more lands if she wins (in reality, they treat her like a fool, at least in the beginning). Blaze now has a sort of devil and angel on her shoulders who are constantly arguing.

Battlewinner the Nightwing

back at it again with wof designs hi guys

i've always struggled with drawing nightwings for some reason, so if these look wonky i'm sorry 😭 (they're literally like. my 3rd favorite pyrrhian tribe but i can't draw them for the life of me)

i was gonna do only arc 1 characters but i kinda gave up on that so

i meant to make a version of starflight with the burn scars but i forgor 😭😭

Morrowseer being red-ish just makes sense to me, Stonemover is described as being similar to the desert night sky or something so he's more yellow/brown toned

Design Notes and Headcanons: Under cut!

-Voice headcanon: can't find one currently. Whatever it'd be, it would have the "icy" effect I describe below. -I gave her a big frost patch that penetrates her front skin, threatening to spread like it does when she leaves her cauldron in the books. Its sparkly and glows slightly -Frost vapor slowly seeps out of her mouth, nostrils, and ears at all times and sometimes her eye sockets if she gets worked up enough. -When she coughs, small particles and shards of ice come out and rake her throat; the same happens when she speaks, so she tends to not do so unless she absolutely has to. -With the previous being said, yelling absolutely SHREDS her throat and sometimes she lets small bits of lava seep into her mouth to sooth it- but she can't let it go too far down or it will injure the parts of her insides that aren't frozen. -She has really rhaspy voice and you can hear tinkly sounds on certain syllables -She has really big spikes, and NightWing spikes grow like this more so than other tribes as a sign of age. MudWing bodies also do this. Battlewinner's spikes make her look even bigger than she is -Battlewinner's crown does not melt in the lava and like all crowns, have special hooks that wrap around the horns so it does not fall off. For scale, her crown could comfortably wrap around the front of Clay's neck! -Her entire body has random nicks, scars, and other marks from battle and being as old as she is. The scars on her snout and face are from the same the IceWing that breathed frost into her throat; from grabbing it to hold it open

Hybrid Greatness headcanon

Headcanon time! Have you ever wondered why Queen Battlewinner, completely alone, without guards, went on patrol of her state? Don't you think it's extremely dangerous to put the monarch in danger? Then why did she fly on patrols? Well, this headcanon provides the answer. A long time ago, Queen Battlewinner actually went to the continent. And suddenly, on the border with the Icewing kingdom, she meets a cheerful, charming icewing. Although Battlewinner was very loyal to her kingdom, she decided to give icewing at least a chance to survive. As a result, they became friends and later fell in love with each other. Battlewinner began to sometimes run away from the island, justifying it as a “patrol”, in order to meet her lover again. Arriving more and more on the continent, near her beloved dragon, around fresh air and an abundance of food, Battlewinner began to have ideas that not only she was worthy of this, but also her people. Then the idea of completely relocating nightwings to other territories arose in her. Time passed and Battlewinner became a queen. She and her beloved icewing had an egg. They both didn't know what to do with it. Both icewings and nightwings will not have a warm reception for the hybrid baby. There is a conflict between Battlewinner and her lover because the nightwing queen wants to kill her unborn child because it could start a major conflict. The next day, Battlewinner flies back to the place where she and icewing met, however... her lover was not there. Suddenly an unknown icewing arrived, who knew about the relationship between Battlewinner and her lover (he was later expelled for a forbidden relationship and “betrayal”). Icewing attacked her and almost killed her. Then you know the story. Battlewinner was in terrible condition to conceive a new heir and in the end... there was only one hybrid Greatness left, which was the only heir. Battlewinner forced her daughter to cover her white scales with ash so that no one would know about her hybrid origin. Even Greatness herself did not know for a long time that she was a hybrid. Her mother told her that it was a scale disease, and that the ash would be able to make her scales normal (although Greatness has more icewing traits, but they are not very visible). Battlewinner believed that her lover had betrayed her and sent someone to kill her. She began to believe that other tribes, especially icewings, were cunning and hostile to nightwings. She told Greatness that she was forbidden to leave the volcano, until nightwings will be was relocated, because there were too many evil minds on the continent. Once the princess tried to escape to the continent, but during the war, she was badly wounded in the stomach, and in the end she was only convinced by her mother's words that other tribes should be feared. As a result, at the end of the story, Greatness lives like an ordinary nightwing, no longer hiding her white spots on her scales.
