Harris is Banking on One Key Issue
In the landscape of U.S. politics, few issues have the emotional charge and political weight that abortion rights carry today. As Vice President Kamala Harris intensifies her campaign for the 2024 election, she is focusing on one key issue that resonates strongly with her base: abortion rights. The right to choose, particularly in the wake of recent state-level abortion bans, has become a…

Abortion is a Man's Issue Too.
A woman’s right to autonomy over her body is in jeopardy. The all powerful black robed Conservatives have created a path for forced birth. A woman who wants to terminate her pregnancy should be ratted out. Held captive. Fate not hers to engineer. Her pregnancies are state business because women are property of the state. Why doesn’t the Republican enforcement party say anything about the…

Just for the people that say there isn’t reason to panic about Friday’s SCOTUS ruling with the excuse “don’t get an abortion and you’ll be fine”, please consider:
KY trigger abortion ban went into effect and there is a proposed amendment before the legislature to vote on detailing that a woman has to have a signed and notarized statement from her doctor EVERY month to determine pregnancy status.
TX has a birthing board to regulate abortion reporting, including a list of all possible symptoms that can be associated with having an abortion, including PCOS, allergic reactions, renal failure, and MISSED ectopic pregnancy, meaning all women going to their doctors for treatment for the above conditions would be investigated.
AL will criminally investigate women that have had a miscarriage, aka spontaneous abortion, to make sure the woman did nothing to cause it, which is going to include what? Driving in inclement weather while pregnant and get into an accident? Me getting kicked in the pelvis by one of my patients*? Does this mean I won’t be able to work or drive while pregnant?
I am pro choice because any of the above can happen with a pregnancy that is wanted, because the thought of being jailed while also dealing with the mental fallout of losing a wanted pregnancy is horrifying, and most importantly because I value privacy of my health info between my doctor and I.
Oh, and delete any health apps and period tracking apps. Those can and will be used against you.

*My patients are farm animals and yes I was kicked by a 2000 lb mule in the pelvis hard enough to be airborne. It’s a job hazard.

Rage Against The Machine Stands For Women; Stands For Abortion Rights
Rage Against The Machine Stands For Women; Stands For Abortion Rights
I was beyond thrilled when I was scrolling through one of my social media sites and saw this very true quote. Then when I saw it was Rage Against the Machine who posted it, with the below message, I felt almost giddy. It is an honor to have others, people from companies, to other countries, other states, musicians and everyone in between join all of us who are in some way a part of the activism…

The Last Summer of Roe v. Wade
The Last Summer of Roe v. Wade
By Carter Sherman Vice Texas abortion providers sued to halt the law, but the Supreme Court didn’t stop the law from taking effect early Wednesday morning. Overnight, access to abortion basically evaporated. Then, in a 5-4 vote released just before midnight, the Supreme Court officially announced that it would not be blocking the ban, because the providers hadn’t made their case when it came to…

Louisiana Abortion Bill Blocked
The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled against a harsh Louisiana abortion law that would have ultimately resulted in the entire state population becoming dependent on a single doctor to provide the procedure.
The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled against a harsh Louisiana abortion law that would have ultimately resulted in the entire state population becoming dependent on a single doctor to provide the procedure.
In a pleasantly surprising twist, Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the liberal faction of the court in a 5-4 voteto temporarily halt the legislation, which would have…

Abortion, Regression
United States Regresses on Abortion
Abortion is a world-wide topic this week, as the U.S. is on the verge of letting healthcare protections collapse. On Monday, a draft was leaked of the U.S. Supreme Court’s pending decision about Roe v. Wade. And according to the draft, the 49-year-old case will be overturned, removing federal protection against states seeking to restrict women’s rights to control over their healthcare. This…

The ACTUAL Reason Behind Republicans' Disdain Of Birth Control (VIDEO)
The ACTUAL Reason Behind Republicans’ Disdain Of Birth Control (VIDEO)
Fact: in 2014, the rate of abortions per 1,000 women dropped below the rate of abortions when Roe v. Wade was passed in 1973.
Fact: services provided by family planning visits net a savings of over $11 million when comparing prevention methods to expenditures made by the government in order to subsidize needs otherwise necessary without prevention.
With the war on Planned Parenthood and an…

I came across an article yesterday on Timeline.com: “The Nazi Breeding and Infanticide Program You Probably Never Knew About”. The article describes the Nazi breeding program that involved encouraging and forcing “pure Aryan” women to get pregnant from “pure Aryan” men and taking the babies to be educated by the SS, as well as the active euthanasia of “impure” babies.

Stand or Fall
Trying to get up that great big hill of hope for a destination.  I realized quickly when I knew I should…that the world was made up of this brotherhood of man.  For whatever that means. And, so I cry sometimes when I’m lying in bed, just to get it all out…what’s in my head… so I wake in the morning and I step outside and I take a deep breath and I get real high and I scream from the top of my…

3 Dangerous Abortion Myths Were Just Obliterated by This Groundbreaking Study
3 Dangerous Abortion Myths Were Just Obliterated by This Groundbreaking Study
The inundation of misinformation about abortion is one of the most significant hurdles women face when attempting to make informed decisions about their own reproductive care. Thanks to newly released research from the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine, at least one pervasive misconception about women’s health care can be cleared up once and for all: the false notion that…
