I solved the Wordle, and as always, went to the WordleBot to review my gameplay, because ~VALIDATION~

Anyways...I closed the tab after reviewing. Then few hours later i reopened my mobile browser for some other stuff. It reloaded the WordleBot page, but I guess it didn't load properly, coz all I saw was this vaguely threatening image

And took me a solid minute to understand that this was just the silhouette of WordleBot...

my favorite thing about the wordlebot is that it always sounds like it’s judging you when it shows you its analysis. like, just the confidence that it’d be able to guess the answer in exactly three turns. i understand that it’s an algorithmic ai and thus is actually guaranteed to be able to guess the worlde in exactly the number of turns it claims it will, but still, the audacity gets me.

Don't really like wordle but i joined the wordle slack channel at work because there's people in the group that I want to think about me more, and i like reading the wordlebot analysis

But today it took me 5 guesses to get it right and the bot's analysis said there was only one option after my second guess so i should've gotten it in 3 but then it didn't explain why my actual 3rd and 4th guesses were impossible to be correct. First i thought those words were previous answers but alas not

So i did a quick Internet search and apparently there's 14K acceptable guesses but only 2300 possible answers. Proper nouns are excluded as possible answers (reasonable) but so are plurals that end in -s or -es so women could be an answer but not winks (unreasonable). Then the list of 5-letter words is further whittled down to things that aren't "too obscure" and then stylistic choices by the NYT guy in charge, presumably eliminating swears and penis (also unreasonable) and apparently my 3rd and 4th guesses which i didn't know were words until they were accepted by the game

Word games should be able to teach me new words! If words that are "too obscure" are taken out then it's not a word game it's just a "words that some asshole employee at nyt likes" game

I got beef with WordleBot. Wife has tried to explain but I don’t understand how I can get a skill score lower than 90 on a particular play when that play gave me 100% of the information, didn’t violate the rules of hard mode, and was a genuinely good play.

Square up wordlebot you motherfucker I’m sick of your shit. I want an A in Wordle. This is both normal to want and possible to achieve.
