I think this poem is a great match for Din. He’s able to change so much based on his situations and what’s around him. On hunts, he’s focused. In the midst of a threat looming over you and the kid, he’s violent. When he’s alone with the two of you, he’s gentle. When he’s handling you, he’s tender. There are many different sides to Din and while they’re all him, they’re all very different. But the beauty of loving him is getting to love all those different parts of him. And that’s something Din’s not sure he can every properly process.

okay so I finished ruin and rising and there are gonna be hella spoilers in this post so if you if haven't read it yet uhhh, beware?

- so firstly, zoya? so much better in this book? so sassy and haughty, i love her. tbh idk what it was about her in seige and storm but she was absolutely insufferable.

- the apparat, creepy and gross af, the white cathedral stuff is mostly what I'd remembered from before so while i wasn't surprised at how grimy he was, it didn't stop me from gagging every two paragraphs during that section

- nikolaiiiiii, my bby 🥺 what did they do to you 😭 i have a feeling kos/row duo is gonna kill me

- totally thought morozova was gonna be baghra's husband, but hop he's her dad??? did not see that coming. also the sister story, creepy af, loved it.

- so I remembered they didnt kill the firebird but totally forgot that mal was 3rd amp (hence why i was prolly surprised by morozova being baghra's dad) so when that happened I was like wowowoowoww he gonna die

- but then I was like wait, they both don't die is how I remember it???

- THAT SCENE, WHERE ALINA AND MAL ARE BY THE RIVER AND THEIR CAMP GETS CAUGHT, BUT THEN PRINCE PERFECT COMES BY. LOVED IT, HERE FOR IT I WANT MORE OF IT
