Got a couple more pieces done, one gift and one trade!

The fight scene is Ember Blaze dropping Harley Ironhorse with her signature punch The Burnout. I was looking for OC help and shared my basic idea with @urlocaldemonthatlikeslemons. She came up with the look for Ember and I came up with Harley. While I wrote Ember's back story, it was such a collaborative effort that I consider her more @urlocaldemonthatlikeslemons's than mine :) And I'll post more about both of them later.

The second is from an art trade with @luc1ano03. This is my take on their OC Riot Roxy. They did a really awesome piece for me i return. I'll see about sharing it later.

Okay so im currently working on a female redesign for all 𝘴𝘪𝘹𝘵𝘦𝘦𝘯 Punch Out characters, and I was thinking...

Don Flamenco would definently be called Doña Flamenco instead, I have fallen in love with the idea like a mother picking baby names and you cannot get me to change my mind

But alsooooo... I was thunking, and to be honest Don Flamenco wasn't inspired by a Bailaor but more so a Matador. Not design wise, but the posture and the way he acts and the things he says

...And the fact that he is bull fighting in his introduction, not flamenco dancing. I think my point is proven.

To be honest, i've seen more male matadors than female matadors and i've seen more female flamenco dancers than male flamenco dancers (mostly because the female flamenco dancers have pretty dresses and i tend to hyperfocus on things i find pretty which is actually why im staring directly at you right now but that's besides the points ´-`‎)

So, in short, I feel like Doña Flamenco would be more influenced by a female flamenco dancer than a matador and in her design i'd like to portray the obvious influence with her fighting style and design.

And the WWVBA (the ✨Women's✨ world video boxing association) would probably let her wear a whole ass dress in the ring because they actually do not care

in which the punch out boxers are students at a high school that the wvba established in the philippines to train promising future boxers, and little mac is a prodigy who was able to skip a few grades

i already have designs and roles for all the punch out wii boxers and real names for most of them, i just havent gotten around to drawing them yet hehe

Punchtober 2024 Days 7 & 9 - Bob Charlie and Dragon Chan

Dragon Chan was always a favorite of mine from the SNES SPO. Bob Charlie, not so much. But, I had a ton of fun drawing them both as they square off in the Major Circuit. And, of course, I had to put my own spin on their attire.

No objectively right or wrong way to interpret a piece of media, but it does feel a little bit funny to see people who think the characters of Punch-Out!! are at all tech-savvy. I mean, I'm sure at least most of them know the bare basics, but so many of these guys are or give off the aura of being mid-aged men that constantly have to ask someone else for help in turning a computer off and on again to reset it. If you asked Bear Hugger what a domain is he'd probably say it's some kind of animal burrow. Doc's gym has a webpage but it's the most basic unprofessional piece of bastard with no cohesion whatsoever because god dammit he's sixty years old they didn't have this sorta thing back in his day, how the hell do you expect him to know what in the world 'HTML' means (Mac keeps offering to try and do something with it and/or find someone else who can, but at this point he isn't changing it out of stubbornness)
