Will you rank Kimiko's different cowgirl outfits from best to worst pls?

Hm! Ok, but remember it's my top list and other people are free to have their own favs!

I'm obsessed with Kimiko's look in the 'Treasure of the Blind Swordsman' episode. Maybe it's because blue is my favorite color? But apart from that, I appreciate how unique she looks. In the show there are more brownish cowboy hats and Kimiko surprises us with other possibilities! What is more, all the accessories are in tune with everything else! The belt? feather on the hat? Hair ribbons? Even the red elements dangling from her boots match the kerchief and the skirt!

Also, I think mixing blue, red, and brown clothes makes for the classiest outfit!

2. Kimiko's cowgirl outfit from Jesse episode is my second best!

The best thing about this look is her braids! Kimiko has beautiful hair! Maybe this outfit is more modest but this is why it's so cute. Sometimes less means more! And I must admit I am entranced with Kimiko's shorts! Pats for a badass little fire lady! And it seems these shorts have laces on the turnups so yet another cute element to gush about! Love how the shape of the hat is different from those we've seen. Checkered top and magenta-red boots my beloveds <3

3. The 'Big as Texas' outfit is also close to my heart although for me there is too much pink. Still cute 9/10!

Lace gloves are the best accessory here!

4. And my least favorite outfit belongs to Chronicles!Kimiko.

It's... decent. I appreciate we finally got Kimiko in long skinny jeans. However, if we compare this outfit to clothes we got to see in the original series, the xc look is rather... lacking. Kimiko is known for her good taste in accessories and XC!Kimiko has only a belt. I'm also disappointed with her cowboy hat because there is nothing special about it :(

But maybe if we add a fitting (idk maybe dark purple) vest and do something with the hat, we could fix that look! I get the impression Wuya and Kimiko would look great as a cowgirl duo if they were outfitted with clothes in similar color palettes! (this idea originated from my assumption XC!Kimiko's outfit is somewhat similar to Wuya's. If they stood next to each other I would dare to say they're dressed similarly lol)

It seems all Xiaolin Chronicles is on YouTube.

Despite watching XS multiple times and being vaguely aware when it came out I had never watched XC

Despite having seen some clips from XC ages ago it's really not what I expected.

Im ngl the CGI Tron ass Showdowns made me laugh a little at how unexpected they where

The VA changes were expected but still feel strange! (Clay in particular loses his southern charm)

Also; look at how they massacred my boy

They took peak design and fumbled the bag.

Also why does he get his red eyes back in the 2010 Wii game shovel wear ass CGI

I do actually think the showdowns having an animation style change is very cool and could have been done well. I just don't think the CGI aged well.

Willow/shadows design goes hard as fuck!

The jealousy arc from Omi is kinda annoying but he is so cute I literally can't stop loving him. I'm so glad he kept the same VA because it would probably be unwatchable otherwise.

Ping pong is cute but is literally Omi 2. Him speaking lots of languages at the start was pretty cute!

Chase is serving high camp but he's only in it for one scene

I'm ngl watching feels like watching a young kids fanfic of XS.

I'll write an actual review at some point but damn if I would have tuned in expecting more XS i'd have been a little disappointed but tentatively hopeful?

I guess I'll have to watch more.

My Accidental Parents AU family tree!

I redesigned Shadow from my previous XS post. Was itching to draw her brothers, Boris and Orchid so here they are!

If you guys can guess, they are redesigned characters from Chronicles! I hated the show ngl but in my AU, I get to redo their appearances and personalities yay!

Shadow: Born from a pearl inside an oyster made from a broken ribcage of Chase and Omi's healing magic. Feral lizard instincts, creepy manners that aren't too bad and a passionate female warrior. Has a soft spot for women (Had a crush on Kimiko before growing out of it and found someone else.). Aspires to be a skilled Heylin warrior like her dad, Chase. She's tsundere with a soft side for Papa Omi even if she tries to deny it when she's older.

Boris: Born from a peach shared by Chase and Omi when they took a bite of the fruit. The fruit came from Barkley Le Bois, an ancient French Xiaolin warrior turned into an enchanted peach tree by Gigi before the Heylin Seed was sealed. A good boi, clumsy, reluctant martial artist, doesn't want to fight, prefers to study botany and cooking. Still has the element of wood, only difference he ACTUALLY USES IT unlike canon XC. Taught by his grandpa Barkley whom he's very close with. Papa Omi's baby boy.

Orchid: Hatched from an egg laid by Chase in his beast form when he unknowingly ingested a certain potion dropped into his Lao Meng Long soup by Shadow and Boris when they were kind of tricked by Jack Spicer to search something in their dad's lair. Named after the serum responsible for his conception. Orchid is Chase in appearance and Jack in personality minus the cowardice. Has certain parts of XC Chase's personality with none of the creepy incest. Flamboyant and has a knack of inventing like his revered mentor, Jack much to his father, Chase's displeasure.

Notes:

1.) Chase and Omi had their firstborn, Shadow when Omi got into his 20's.

2.) All three kids were born accidentally through either both Xiaolin and/or Heylin magic, not MPreg.

Xiaolin Showdown, Chronicles and the characters belong to Christy Hui and Warner Kids.

Boris/Ping Pong and Orchid's designs along with this AU are mine.

Raimundo feels gulilty not only about his turn to dark side, but also that his return to light was for quite selfish reasons.

Raimundo still has power Wuya gave him but he has no idea and they are dormnant

Raimundo lived in Tubarao, but spent every holiday in Rio d Janeiro, since some of his uncles and aunts live there

He was a troublemakes and a bit of bully. And a bit of vandal, which got him arrested once

Raimundo had seven sibling before joining the temple, one other was born after he joined the temple. He has older brother, three older sister, two younger sisters and two younger brothers. He has pretty bad relationship with his older brother

...Ok so first of all sorry for asnwering it like months later (...you probably won’t even see this...) and having it short but I kpet thinking ‘Is this a headcanon or idea for fanfiction?’ and still probably some sound like this and also I tried to think of more headcanons for someone other than Raimundo but...I have not been succesful in that

you’ve probably either completely forgotten this or never watched it bc who could blame you but in the xc finale kimiko’s baby dragon zippy lou makes guinea pig squeaks when he’s shrunken down (as in they literally just used guinea pig noises for him) and i think that’s adorable

Throughout Showdown and Chronicles, we have seen Raimundo had a crush on Kimiko and we see Kimiko show affection towards him throughout Chronicles. Is it possible that in the future where Xiaolin returns, that will we see both Raimundo and Kimiko to develop romantic feelings for each other and fell in love for real? Its quite a possibility.

It is, but given Japanese culture, Kimiko's Westernized behavior, and how she handled the boys in Chronicles, very unlikely. She showed little to no affection (outside of platonic friendship) towards Rai in XC. Rai has more suggestive interactions with Jack throughout XC.

Teams with token females seldom work well when the female is romantically involved with one of the male team members. It usually devolves into someone being jealous and cliched infighting. Since when is Xiaolin cliched?

Plus, given Hui's interest in feminism, it's likely that she wants to write more stories about a female fighting to get, keep, and prove her place beside her male counterparts. I would argue that Hui's work outside of the Xiaolin world further supports this possibility.

Also, I personally dislike Rai and don't want him to be happy. 😅

   Oh you’re adorable. Genuinely. I’ve studied Chase and this series and I hate to inform you of this but Chase never killed those monks. He defeated them in battle and gave them immortality. This is referenced in Princess Kaila of the Thousand Layer Mountain (E10, XC), when Chase turned Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Ping Pong into Cat Warriors, except for Omi. He  did this after defeating them in battle -- but he did not kill them.  Chase sought out strong warriors to test himself against and when they lost offered them a place at his side as one of his mighty jungle cats. Good try to start a fight with me however.
