What pet names do you think the batboys would have for their s/o?

i think dick would have the most petnames in his vocabulary, only using the cheesiest ones just to tease you in public, like cupcake or honey bunny. but he definitely uses babe, baby, sunshine; he sticks to the classics. though don't be surprised if he calls you his sugar bear in front of everyone.

jason, i cannot see using anything more than babe or doll (ive seen this one around a lot and i cant say it didnt grow on me; i quite like it now), usually at least. perhaps a darling or beautiful, if he's feeling particularly romantic. maybe a nickname derived from your name too.

tim, i also cannot see going further than babe, or a nickname.

damian, by default, gets the best ones! things are just more meaningful in arabic. definitely a classic حبيبي or حبيبتي in there, it means my love iirc; حياتي is one of my favourites, it means my life; and probably قلبي too, which is my heart. and of course, beloved. safe to say he would probably say the arabic ones in english as well.

I've been catching up with Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel and all I can think about is how MC who watches both shows can't help but be kind of relieved that Devildom isn't like in the Vivzieverse

Lemme add; MC being soooo relieved that hell is actually fairly normal- like nobody is running around the streets shooting people or cutting off heads. The restaurants are all really nice and it’s almost always chilly outside, all in all not too bad.

And ofc how the demons themselves look!!! MC straight up laughing when Lucifer introduces himself, because he’s not a short guy with a ridiculously top hat! He just looks like a guy, a tall guy at that- and sure he has horns and wings sometimes. But mostly he just looks normal?? wow-

as mentioned, they're very patient people, and when it comes to something (someone) they want so badly, they're very careful not to mess anything up.

i think soon after tim and reader start dating, they'll both spend a lot of time at the mansion instead of reader's apartment. i would say reader has no qualms about this, seeing as they have no emotional ties to that place? it isn't the best apartment ever, quaint and small as it is, so they definitely have nothing against spending time at the mansion.

it'll snowball into reader sleeping over for a couple weeks on end, only coming back to their place to grab some of their things. they'd be well accustomed to life there, after getting over the shock of the fact that multiple people in their life were apparently so connected (they're a bit suspicious, but they've all been nothing but kind so why worry?). not to mention having to see bruce wayne almost every day without fail.

living alone had been quiet, so being in a house that's well lived in is a nice change of pace for them.

at this point, there's nothing preventing them from tim's offer to move into the mansion with him about 5 months into their relationship. too quick? probably, but you only live once, right? who are you to turn down the opportunity to live at the wayne's mansion?

your friends would be wary, but tim's won them over fairly quickly, so they see no problem with you moving in with such a gentleman.

besides, why wait when there's a proposal coming just around the corner?

as for the dates, they definitely have a tally going to keep track of it. hell, they even considered the unofficial "dates" which, as far as you were aware, were completely platonic.

when you've warmed up to the idea of all of them, they'll definitely be more insistent on getting those numbers even.

All she’d wanted to do was give you a nice surprise, let you come home to all the Christmas decorations already set up. But she’d only got some of the lights strung up around the tree, before her antlers got caught in a tangle of lights… in trying to get them off, she’d only managed to tangle the lights around her hands, too.

Aspen closes her eyes and sighs. The twinkling lights still shine through her eyelids, mocking her. Aspen’s about to start trying to untangle herself once more, when the sound of the front door unlocking makes her freeze like a deer in headlights. She shifts her legs and tries to curl up a little to hide herself, regretting her choice to wear the short, backless sweater dress you’d gotten her.

“Aspen~!” You sing, arms full of bags, “you home?”

Aspen squeezes her eyes shut tighter and prays that if she doesn’t say anything, you’ll leave the room without seeing her and she’ll have another chance to get unstuck. Of course, she’s not so lucky— the bags rustle, fall on the couch. You giggle, and then— a click.

Aspen’s eyes fly open. “H-hey! Don’t be taking pictures like that!”

You only laugh again, squatting down next to her. “Sorry, sweetie~! You just look so cute like this.”

You pause thoughtfully. Aspen pouts, eyeing the phone in your hand. “Can you please untie me now…?”

“Hmmm… No, I don’t think so. Not yet.”

Aspen’s heart skips a beat as you straddle her hips. You take another picture, giggling again at her flustered expression. She tries to turn her head, embarrassed by the neediness you must see on her face, but her bound antlers hold her in place.

“Ah ah ah… don’t move so much, baby girl. You don’t want to knock over the tree you spent so much time putting up, now do you?”

Aspen gulps, swallowing a whine at the pet name and the pressure of your body atop hers. You cup her face in your hands, silently asking for a kiss. Her cheeks are burning hot under your touch. Aspen shuts her eyes as you lean in, lips parted and breath shallowly fanning over yours. You press a soft kiss to her lips— gingerbread lip balm, how cute— and pull away, watching her through lidded eyes as she strains upward to follow you. Your fingers slide down her cheek, to her neck, feeling her pulse.

“Your heart’s beating so fast, baby… tell me what you want.”

“You, always you, anything for you—“ the words begin to slip out before Aspen can think them through, but you only smile and cut her off with another kiss.

Aspen’s head is buzzing by the time you pull away. You can feel her hardness growing against you, and Aspen whines softly every time you shift your weight. You move back a little bit to slide your hands up her thighs, then further, dragging her dress up. Her abs twitch under your touch as you uncover her lacy panties, the tip of her dick peeking from the waist band.

to be honest, i was planning on making the reader more willing in this au, but i haven't elaborated enough on their character yet! i was planning on the brothers slowly easing into the reader's life, as seen with dick, jason, and tim. then once the batfam feels that reader's relationship with tim has developed enough, he'll make his way into their heart— aka be the perfect boyfriend!

from there, the reader would be invited to the mansion a lot more often, also spending many nights there, as the reader would be feeling lonelier in their small, dingy apartment compared to a big mansion seemingly full of life. jason, dick, and damian would be introduced to the reader as tim's brothers, with the reader being mostly amused with the fact that they're already familiar with 2 of tim's older brothers. they'd write it off as a coincidence. at first.

bruce always seems to be too busy when you come over, so you've seen only fleeting glances of the man, with the way he disappears into the shadows feeling far too familiar.

but let's say the batfam is more impatient, and they're just itching to get to you already.

they're tired of watching you from the shadows, and through the cameras (where you always seem so close yet so far). so they make a plan: they'll take you in your sleep, all precautions taken of course, and settle you into your very own room at the wayne mansion.

they don't tie you to the bedpost of anything like that, no, you're not an animal! they'll all keep their distance, watching from cameras they've planted (again) as you gain consciousness.

you're a lot calmer than they expected, carefully looking around the unfamiliar room. they've rearranged the furniture to nearly mirror your own room in your apartment. nearly.

they've arranged some things for maximum comfort, that you've failed to do so in your place.

they can barely see your hand shaking as you reach to open the door.

they decide that tim should be the first one you see.

as you head down the corridor, you bump into your friend. you can barely make out signs of nervousness coming from him; his cheeks are flushed, and you can see a light sheen of sweat across his hairline. you choose to ignore how his eyes have almost lost all colour, with his dark pupils heavily dilated.

their goal here is to not freak you out and risk your running away. given what they know about you, there's a chance you'll stay, even with great hesitance.

so, they'll act slow and steady.

your heart races in your chest, threatening to jump out. if you're being honest, you can't even comprehend what had happened.

why were you in a strange room, in a strange house? you fell asleep in your bed, in your apartment.

so, how did you get here?

why is tim here?

what were you doing here?

you ask him as much, but your voice is no louder than a whisper.

it's a miracle he even heard you, but tim is always willing to strain his ears, to earnestly listen to you.

"why don't we tell you over breakfast?" he says, in his oh so kind voice.

you don't get a chance to answer before he's guiding you to the kitchen with a tight grip on your hand.

on your way there, you realise it's a house that was bigger than you thought. a lot bigger.

the enticing smell of breakfast reaches you before you get there. your steps only quicken by a beat, but tim notices.

as you turn a corner, you're surprised to see a few familiar faces. jason, your sweet neighbour, and dick, the funny detective that happens to be a regular at your work.

there are three other strangers in the kitchen.

bruce wayne, who isn't technically a stranger, you can't live in gotham and not know who he is, but a stranger nonetheless. his dark, dark eyes seem to pierce your very being and see right through you.

a boy, younger than you by just a few years. he's got a tan to his skin, and eyes that seem eerily similar to bruce wayne's.

lastly, an older man, in a tuxedo only befitting a butler. considering bruce wayne was in this house, you think he is a butler.

a look of recognition must have been present in your face, as dick, bless his heart, smiles gently at you, taking your hand from tim's and sitting you next to him.

his toothy smile does nothing to calm you, unlike many other times before.

your eyes snap to bruce wayne's as he clears his throat. a sign that he demands your attention.

you stay silent.

the familiar faces and smiles have done nothing to appease you, but why? why do they unsettle you, when you have turned to those same smiles for comfort?

"i'm sure you have a lot of questions, (y/n)."

usually, bruce wayne saying your name would be an occasion any other person would celebrate. though you can't find it in yourself to feel flattered, not when he says it with such ease... such intimacy, as if he had uttered your name many times before.
