We all Tara is the ring leader of the Trans-vengers club at the BAU.

But when Emily comes back as Unit Chief™ she doesn't know this club exists, because it turns out she and JJ are like the only cis people on this team?!

So at precisely 3.14pm every day (Reid picked the time....for mathematical reasons)One by one each member of the team disappears from the bullpen. Emily is usually eyes deep in Reports because honestly, no one has seen Cruz in 2 seasons and someone's gotta file the paperwork.

But JJ sits in the bullpen now so she watches this shit happen:

Reid first Luke Tara Rossi....how does he ALWAYS have a plate of spaghetti? Then PG comes out from her cave

And from the get-go, JJ is like "I don't wanna know". Bc last time she was part of The Club.... well RIP Derek Morgan's left eyebrow. So she just keeps her head down and some days she goes to Emily's office to distract her bc she ain't no snitch

Emily is a well documented Gay™, so any woman in her office is 200% gonna be distracting. JJ knocks on the door every day around 3.15pm and asks Em something dumb.

"Hey I'm just doing the follow up on that case from last week and under "unsub" I just didn't know what to put"

Emily "1000% doesn't care what that blonde angel is saying bc LOOK at her eyes" Prentiss is like "sure. Add it to my pile"

One afternoon, JJ is feeling particularly lost in thought. JJ casually sits down and is like "hey Em...."

"Yes GayJ....JJ!?"

"Do you ever wonder what could have happened between us if you never left....."

Now, Emily's thinking uhhhh I have only thought about that every second of every day of every....

BUT BEFORE SHE CAN ANSWER, THE FIRE ALARM GOES OFF

Emily suddenly turns into Unit Chief-Fire Marshall Emily Prentiss

She's up from her desk and out the door and yelling orders to everyone. But....no one is there?! The bullpen is empty.

She's confused and looks to the only other person here. "JJ WHERE IS OUR TEAM?!"

Emily decides there's no time to worry about the rest of the team, she trusts they'll be okay, she throws JJ over her shoulder and heads down six flights of stairs

JJ is cackling because what the hell?? She's telling Emily: "I can walk!" Emily: "NO TIME!" JJ: "EM TAKE THE ELEVATOR...." Emily: "IN CASE OF FIRE USE THE STAIRS!"

Emily literally she-hulks her way out of the building with JJ over her shoulder looking so unamused and embarrassed. Emily gets them to the the BAU muster station

She finally sets JJ down before yelling, "OKAY TEAM. ROLE CALL!!"

She was right. The team got here on their own but here are her team members:

Reid is in a skirt with matching purple barrettes in his hair Rossi is in a floor length gown with half a face of make up Garcia is holding her entire make up kit ("IT'S THE NAKED PALET I'M NOT LEAVING THIS!!") And are those.....are those BRAIDS?! in Lukes BEARD?! Tara 'Ringleader' Lewis is SO covered in glitter.....it looks like a Michaels craft store exploded

JJ takes one look at this group of children and is like "welp. Y'all are fucked. So much for your 'secret' club."

But Emily looks them over, making sure everyone is here (they are), and yells to the other team leaders "ALL CLEAR!!"

The fire department comes bc turns out someone burnt toast AGAIN on the 5th floor (fucking auditors)

They all have to sit outside and it's soooooo hot. But Em has the Emergency Bag from her office. And she pulls out an umbrella

("Emily...why is there an umbrella in the emergency kit?"// "FOR THIS.....")

She puts it over Rossi bc his makeup was starting to run. And she shoves Tara under it bc the glitter was reflecting and causing ppl to go blind. Then Emily pulls out a pocket mirror and hands it to Garcia so she can help Reid fix his bows. She takes some thread off her suit jacket and ties a bow in Luke's MICRO braid (it's just 2 pieces twisted together but he's SO proud at how LONG his beard is)

And everyone on the team is staring like "WTF IS HAPPENING? How is Emily so calm finding out about All This nonsense?"

Emily just smiles and says "You all are horrible at keeping secrets. I'm a profiler and none of you are stealthy."

JJ is flabbergasted, because if Emily knew about the Transvengers, then why'd she never say anything each time JJ went to 'distract' her?!

That's when Emily just turns to her and finally answers her question, "Jennifer, I would have proposed. We'd have a nice colonial in a cul-de-sac and Henry would have had at least two other siblings"

Now, the team is INTERESTED in whatever the hell Emily and JJ were talking about.

JJ's mouth is....on the ground

Tara nods proudly, goes up to JJ....licks her thumb, then presses it in glitter and smears it across JJ's forehead like Simba

JJ basically climbs Emily like a tree to kiss her. It's a mini-pride party at the BAU muster station. All of the other Quantico employees are just totally perplexed by these gay idiots.

wait i wanna hear your chuck opinions/headcanons

YES oh my god. Yes. Okay. So if you have the kind of ingrained deep memory of this show that I have you'll know how often Chuck is perceived as feminine in the show, and while it *could* come across as your everyday average homophobic/transmisogynistic patriarchal insults geared towards "less masculine" men, and was almost definitely written with that intention, to me there's a genuine-ness that is really hard to ignore when characters mention his "delicate features" and constantly remind him to literally "butch it up" like Morgan tells him during that car bomb episode. Chuck isn't ever offended by these remarks, he doesn't feel the need to change his behaviors, even when he has crises of identity in a sense he's really only trying to become more *heroic* or *courageous* and his biggest role model as well as romantic interest is Sarah. Sarah is a clear trans narrative to me, with the fact that we never find out her birth name, she's used many names in the past, her childhood and teenagehood are things she's desperate to keep to herself, etc. I read her character as someone who views herself almost from a third person perspective, she doesn't want to allow herself a sense of identity or interiority because she is simply a weapon. Chuck is the first person to really draw a sense of desire and hope and selfishness out of her - she wants something for herself, for once. Even her desperate longing pipe dream for the life of an ordinary woman feels like a trans narrative to me. I understand her character as transitioning really early, and she in hindsight understands it as a way of helping out in her dad's cons - after all, a cute little blonde girl getting hit by a car evokes instant sympathy from bystanders. Really I think her dad was just really accepting and didn't mind her presenting however she wanted, she just has a hard time in the present understanding herself as ever having truly pursued something for herself and having a genuine sense of self at all. As a teen, she was "recruited" (blackmailed) into the CIA and her entire life, presentation, everything is controlled by a separate entity and I feel like she has a hard time acknowledging any kind of trans identity for herself. In the show, she's always as envious of Chuck as he is of her - while Sarah is a highly skilled highly competent heroic figure for Chuck, Chuck represents everything for Sarah that she wants for herself such as honesty, a sense of self, family connections, relationships of any and all kinds bound by mutual trust. Chuck I think starts to think of herself as a trans woman sometime shortly before the show starts, but she doesn't come out until around season 2. Her coming out radically alters Sarah's understanding of herself, and she only becomes more envious and admiring of Chuck, wishing that she could assume a trans identity for herself as well but not feeling like she deserves that much autonomy. Chuck doesn't know Sarah is also a trans woman until sometime around early season 3, since Sarah is not only protective of her past and personal information but has a hard time identifying herself with transness because of how much she admires it and wants it for herself, despite the fact that she's been socially transitioned since she was around 6 and has been on hrt for years. I think Ellie is accepting when Chuck comes out but a little confused and nervous about the whole thing and tries a little too hard, causing some problems between them. Devon is just like that's awesome!

Headcanons for Criminal Minds Characters. LGBTQIA+, 16+, (from someone who has only seen up to the first episode of season 10)

Spencer Reid: (preferred pronouns he/him sometimes they/them) my headcanon is that he is bi. yes that is basically what everyone in the fandom says, but i stand my it with my whole heart. he also would be very accepting of trans people. he may get confused if a trans man (FTM) wear skirts/dresses but uses he/him pronouns but when you explain it to him, hell understand and even come with you to buy what you want. and even though you are trans, (either FTM or MTF) he will have sex with you only if YOU are comfortable. he wont do anything you are uncomfortable with.

Aaron Hotchner: (preferred pronouns would be he/him) my headcanon for this is that he doesn't understand much about the LGBTQIA+ community because he is a dad and "doesn't have time to learn about that kind of stuff" is how he would phrase it, but he would still be accepting of you, no matter what. like i said he may be confused at first, but you would inform him about everything, and he would understand partly. he wouldn't know what to do if he caught you (a trans man FTM) wearing dresses. he will most likely question you but nothing more. and i do think hotch is bi. college was DIFFERENT for him. so he did some experimenting while he and haley took a break. so he doesn't mind who he dates nor has sex with. whether you are cis or trans, he'll still love you and if you are comfortable, have sex with you.

Derek Morgan: (preferred pronouns would be he/they) DEREK MORGAN- so at first he would def be homophobic, like while he is younger, but as he gets older, he discovers he doesn't mind dating really anyone. i think he is pan. 1000% supports and accepts trans people and literally everyone in the LGBTQIA+ community. he would beat the shit out of a homophobe/transphobe any day. he definitely had some boyfriends in the past. whether they be sexual or emotional. he doesn't care what sex you have, he will love you regardless. he always asks for consent. if he doesn't get it, ya'll aint doing shit whether he is in the mood or not. he just loves to flirt A LOT

Jennifer Jareau "JJ": (preferred pronouns are she/her) definitely bi-romantic. she 100% supports the LGBTQIA+ community. her best friend is in it! she has definitely has girlfriends in the past but wlw sex just isn't for her. but she would be completely understanding and accepting of you if you were trans. she would curb stomp a homophobe/transphobe if she has to. she would be there for surgery you have because its a motherly instinct (even if you are older than her) she is a sweetheart and we love her. since she is married obviously, she cant date you but she would help set up dates for you.

Emily Prentiss: (preferred pronouns would be she/they) most definitely the lesbian of the team. she is with Derek on this one, but she would beat the shit out of homophobes/transphobes. she wants you and everyone around her and the community to feel safe with her. she loves and respects women and their choices with whether they want to be with her or not. she is a SWEETHEART. her and jj definitely dated in the past but had to break up and lost feelings after her fake death. but jj and her would talk often. she is an amazing partner for her girlfriend. she would introduce you to her cat as if he was her child. which i mean isn't wrong because he is her child. her furbaby <3

Penelope Garcia: (preferred pronouns they/she) Pen is definitely pansexual. no doubt. though i think she is demisexual. she needs to be friends with you first and need to know you for a while before she can get sexual. and even then, sometimes she doesn't wanna do it. and she doesn't push you if you don't want to either. she would cyberbully ANYONE for you and anyone else who is hurt by homophobia/transphobia. she would love to go clothes shopping with you!

David Rossi: (pronouns would be he/him. a traditional man) ahhh the classic Italian father/grandfather that everyone wants (coming from an Italian who doesn't have an Italian grandfather :,)) he wouldnt know jack shit about the LGBTQIA+ community, so you would have to explain it to him. after all the explaining, he wouldn't really understand much still but enough to support everyone. he would definitely have arguments with homophobes/transphobes, especially when it comes to you. he would come check on you with jj after any surgery you have that gender conforming and any other ones obvi. he would bring you his pastas and teach you how to make them, which aren't obviously as good as his. y'all's relationship is more of a father/child or grandfather/grandchild and its amazing!

1. Whose overall narrative feels the most satisfying to you?

I have three different answers. If I take "satisfying" to be doomed from the start haunted catharsis? Hawkeye, obviously. It's incredibly satisfying to see a sitcom without much * turn into a beautiful heart breaking eleven season long mental health spiral.

Then there's Klinger, who has the most satisfying narrative from a meta perspective, seeing a one episode gag turn into a beloved character who begins showing up in the credits and gets a big wedding and farewell.

Then there's Charles and Margaret, who graduate from narrative foils to complex and likeable characters with lots of memorable and :') moments.

2. Whose finale narrative feels the most satisfying to you?

Literally the ones above. Hawkeye and Charles make me both tear up every time and Margaret and Klinger make me go :') with pride to see how far they've come.

3. What's a post-canon headcanon that you have (about anything or anyone)

I think they try to hold at least one other reunion to see each other again with all their families in the same hotel on the anniversary of the party

4. What's a pre-canon headcanon that you have (about anything or anyone)?

I think Trapper and Charles vaguely met in Boston at work (maybe at a conference or maybe their hospitals collaborated on something)

5. Who's a secondary/tertiary character you wish you could have seen more of?

Honoria, Bigelow and Kellye.

6. What's a headcanon you have about a non-main character?

I think Kellye got all of them their Hawaiian shirts (yes I know they were popular at the time and sold in different places but I like the thought that she is their main Hawaiian shirt dealer and I think it's also the only explanation why Charles has one)

Charles listens to "Songs on the Death of Children" because of his brother :)

9. What's one of your favorite non-romantic dynamics on the show?

Potter and everyone. He's just so dad and grandpa coded and I love how a lot of that was just Harry Morgan being Like That. Potter just adopted an entire camp of weird traumatised kids.

10. What's an underrated dynamic overall on the show?

Klinger and Mulcahy being besties <3 Klinger being the only one attending services and Mulcahy telling people to compliment his gloves lives rent free in my brain. Runner up is Charles and BJ making 2 separate people believe they are seriously sick because they were annoying. Absolute gremlins and they should have worked together more often.

11. What's a moment that was shocking to you?

Just the entire episode George. I was 15 and just figuring out I could be queer and watched an entire episode from the 70s set in the 50s. Really rewired my brain back then.

12. What's a moment that you could analyse forever?

Just about anything in Dreams. Shout out also to the coffee scene in sons and bowlers because everyone needs to have one small line in that episode that makes them foam at the mouth, right?

13. What's a moment that you want to watch over and over?

Movie Tonight. Any moment from that episode. Also just the entire episode. It's one of my feel good episodes and it's just sooooo <3

The Good Spuffy Fan

Way back when S5 was airing, and Buffy/Spike began to seem like it might be an actual thing that might possibly happen in canon at some point, several factions in fandom absolutely freaked out about the prospect. There were the people whose shipping preferences were being bruised - Bangel fans and Spike/Dru fans primarily, but also every other ship involving Buffy or Spike: Spangel, Spander, Bander, Biles, and for some reason I have never been able to figure out, Tillow. (The Kitten Board hated Spike. I have no idea why.) There was also the faction of fans that we called "Fundies" – that is, people who beleived that everything Giles said about vampires in Season 1, Episode 1 was gospel truth, and any later developments which appeared to contradict it were bad writing and a betrayal of the show's fundamental premise. (These people also saw Buffy refusing to kill Dawn at the end of S5, and presumably her refusal to sacrifice Willow in S3, as a betrayal of the show's premise.)

A lot of these people were smart, articulate, and excellent writers. They wrote reams of passionate meta explaining why canon Spuffy was not only impossible, it was immoral. The problem with this argument was that many of these people shipped other hero/villain pairings themselves – Spike/Angel, Ethan/Giles, Clark/Lex. Interestingly, these other pairings were almost always m/m slash. Apparently it was possible for a hero with a penis to have sex with a villain and retain their moral virtue, but if a hero with a vagina did so, they would immediately be Tainted. Gee, I wonder why that particular double standard went unremarked as they prided themselves on their cold, implacable logic? (I think that trans headcanons would have broken their brains entirely.)

When the anti-Spuffy meta failed to convince all the newly-minted Spuffy shippers to abandon the error of their ways, or worse, the equally smart and articulate Spuffy shippers wrote meta pointing out assorted logical flaws in their arguments, they descended to ad hominem. People only shipped Spuffy because they were hormonal, hysterical fangirls, who were so blinded by the beauty of JM's abs that they were incapable of making moral judgements. When Seeing Red aired, it provided a whole new raft of insults to sling at Spuffy shippers: they were rape apologists, bad feminists, they romanticised abuse. (I think the "Spike is supposed to be seen as extra-specially racist and misogynist" arguments started to pop up around a year later, largely courtesy of a Big Name AtS femslash fan who was incredibly angry about Lilah Morgan getting cut from AtS to fit Spike in.)

Perhaps it is not surprising, then, that there has always been a faction among Spuffy shippers which tries to deflect these insults by agreeing with them: yes, most Spuffy shippers are fluff-writing, rape apologizing, Buffy-hating Spike stans, but I'm not like that! I'm different!

I was kind of guilty of this myself for awhile. I joined online fandom late in S5. I made a modest splash with my first long fic, which was an ensemble bringing-Buffy-back-from-the-dead piece wherein Buffy didn't even show up till the last couple of chapters. I wrote a lot of meta, some of which was pretty decent, some of which makes me cringe in retrospect, but it got me attention. By the time I joined Livejournal in 2003, I was not in Spangel or Spander fandom myself, but I had friends who were, and when I commented in their journals, I inevitably found myself in conversation with a lot of anti-Spike, anti-Spuffy people.

And as I said, these people were often smart, funny, and articulate. They were Big Name Fans. And because I had a somewhat different take on Spike than a lot of Redemptionists (Redemptionists were the fans who thought, starting in S5, that Spike was getting a redemption arc. Many of them were Spuffy shippers, but not all of them) did, they often couldn't use their standard lines of attack on me. I did not fit the Stereotypical Spuffy Fan they'd built up in their heads, so think I baffled them a little. I became friends with some of them, kind of, for awhile. I was The Token Good Spuffy Fan. To my face, they'd be polite, and we'd talk about our shipping difference civilly. One of them even had a Road to Damascus moment (or so she claimed) after getting publically dragged for shipping Angel/Connor. She actually apologized to me for slagging off on my ship. But a few years later I ran across her talking unguardedly in someone else's journal, going off on Spuffy fans in general in the most insulting terms possible. The hypocrisy was more than I could bear, so I stopped interacting with them. By this time AtS had long been canceled and most of them were leaving fandom anyway, so it was easy.

The way people ship Spuffy has changed a lot over the last twenty years, and I am still an outlier, but now I am an outlier in a very different way than I was twenty years ago. I have no interest in being a Good Spuffy Fan any longer; nor do I have any interest in policing how other Spuffy fans choose to ship them. The relationship in canon is very complex, and admits of many interpretations. There is no One True Interpretation, no One True Way to ship. There are only ways I like better, and ways I like worse. And when I run across a way I like worse, there's this handy thing called the back button.

* Vacation/travel stories. Being unable to travel this past year thanks to covid-19 has me desperate to explore and live vicariously through my favorite characters! So I’d love a story involving travel to somewhere new. It could be a romantic getaway/honeymoon trip to somewhere special (and I love it when an author “takes me” to a favorite city/place of their own). Or two friends just going on an escapade together, maybe one sensing the other needs some time away from a stressful situation or workplace.

* Quarantine/life-in-2020 stories. I also enjoy stories about how characters have had to deal with self-quarantine, covid, and other related issues this year. I know many people may be sick of it, but as a health care worker myself stuck with it all for who knows how long (and missing family members overseas I can’t visit), it gives me some comfort to imagine how my favorite characters and ships are coping, too. Are they somehow stuck apart for a long period of time? Driving each other crazy cooped up at home? Discovering some new hobby or passion together? Being good emotional support for each other while dealing with distance from other family/loved ones?

* Soumates with a twist. I love soulmate/soulbond AUs, as long as it’s just not a shortcut to happily-ever-fluff. I want there to be some conflict or angst involved. For instance, I’d love seeing any “fusion” fics based off the concept of the AMC-network “Soumates” series - where there’s a scientific test a person can choose to take to find their soulmate (if the other person out there has also taken the test). That way it’s a choice to find out or not. Would an already established couple want to take the test to find out if they’re really “meant” to be together or not? What if they find out other people are their “soulmates”? What about the possibility of platonic soulmates vs romantic? Discussions for the future if/when one partner dies before the other? I’d love to see these questions played out with one of my fave ships in a happy or even somewhat angsty/dark way.

* Someone has an unexpected hobby or talent. One person has been holding out on the other about some unique interest, skill or hobby that they have. Could be anything from being a secret gourmet cook to stamp collecting - I’d just love a story about the discovery of this hidden interest, why the person never talked about it, if it’s something they could share together (or it just leaves the other person completely bewildered, aka, “You do you.”)

For romantic ships, specifically:

* Age difference dynamics.  The age gaps in a lot of my romantic ships are a plus, not a minus :) I like the general power dynamics involved in them, but generally with the twist where the younger individual is perhaps more experienced/worldly in some way than the older character (for instance, how Eleanor is so cynical and knows all about the world whereas Michael in The Good Place, despite being an immortal being around for millennia, has so much to learn about human behavior and humanity.) I’m not into formalized BDSM situations/power-play, for clarification, so it’s more of a relationship dynamic that I like, not a sexual kink.

Murdoc Niccals (Gorillaz)/Stewart Copeland (The Police (band)) - I’d love to see them meet up backstage or at an afterparty somewhere, and bonding over having their annoying lead singer/frontman “steal away” THEIR respective bands.

Murdoc Niccals (Gorillaz)/Peter Hook (New Order) - Something during the recording of “Aries”, of course! Is Murdoc jealous about having another bass player as a featured/guest artist? Have to prove who’s the one in charge? 

Lucifer (Lucifer TV)/Murdoc Niccals (Gorillaz) - “Hail, Satan!” indeed! What wouldn’t an avowed Satanist like Murdoc love about the chance to meet - and perhaps service - his hero and spiritual leader? What would (this particular) Satan think about Murdoc and some of his truly awful shenanigans?

Abe Morgan (Forever TV 2014) & John Munch (Law & Order: SVU) - I’ve had a long running headcanon that these two could have been friends back in their respective 60s/early 70s hippie days. I’d love either a story set back then, “pre-canon”, or them running into each other in NYC later in life. Munch ending up in Abe’s antique shop, for instance, while on an investigation?

Gorillaz is my newest obsession/fandom - and yes I know I’m like 20 years late for it. For 2Doc I would love anything angsty related to Plastic Beach/Phase 3 - I know it’s been done to death by now but it is my favorite part of the lore (and my favorite Gorillaz album). Also The Lost Chord video was so amazing...I’d love any kind of “what happens next” story set afterwards, what with 2-D saving Murdoc and all the feels that had to involve, after everything Murdoc did to 2-D on Plastic Beach.

I also adore the father/daughter dynamic between Murdoc and Noodle in phases 1 & 2...he’s such a “bad dad” but I love it. I’d love to see anything where he reacts to her giving him an unexpected gift, or just manages to warm/melt his icy bastard heart just a little bit.

Law & Order SVU

John Munch/Odafin "Fin" Tutuola (L&O: SVU) - they’re my perennial favorite request these days and I will never tire of stories about these two! Anything goes that fits my general requests or prompts!

ER

John Carter/Peter Benton (ER 1994) - I was quite excited to see this ship in the tagset, and yes, please, there needs to be more of them! I watched ER through completely for the first time a couple years ago and they were the first ship I had while doing so. The mentor/mentee dynamic is right up my alley, I loved how Peter was there with John when he needed help for his addiction, and oh, that final episode. Any little “missing scenes” between them would be so wonderful. Or, something modern day, where might they be now as a long-time established couple? Celebrating an anniversary, or perhaps taking a moment to acknowledge something less happy/lost loved ones from the past. 

The Good Place

Eleanor Shellstrop/Michael (The Good Place) - some day, some how, someone has to write some decent tentacle porn for this ship. They’d have to figure out some way to make it work with Michael in his true fire squid form. And while I’m not normally into kid/pregnancy fic, what if somehow Eleanor ends up pregnant with a half-squid half-demon baby? Yes, I know she’s dead. But somehow in this canon it has to be possible.

Penelope as a transwoman- she’s so flamboyant and dramatic with her outfits because she can be and she couldn’t be before when she wasn’t out, so now she’s going to do whatever she damn well wants to. also the reason she loves it when Morgan calls her baby girl so much is because it’s kinda his way of affirming her gender!! (he is, in my head, one of the only people who knows she’s trans) 

Hotch is trans and mostly he doesn’t tell anyone, but most of the team knows by now. (Pen came to him when she was upset about trans stuff and he came out to her, Spence was trying to ask him to use they/them pronouns with he/him and they were really nervous so that’s when Hotch told him.  JJ is bisexual as all hell and confused about it and when she’s talking to Hotch he’s just like “relatable lol” and comes out to her. Some shit about Emily’s past comes up and then she’s scared about Hotch’s reaction but he’s just like,,, “same”)

Just about nobody knows Emily is trans, she’s super private about everything and this is included. Hotch knows cause of the Stuff, JJ knows because Emily gets a little Too Drunk at some point while they’re hanging out and accidentally tells her and it’s this Big Thing where Em assumes JJ won’t want to hang out with her anymore but JJ is just like,, “it’s fine,,, also nice face,, also Wow you’re pretty”

Rachael’s Favorite FE Characters

Well, since I posted my favorite Pokemon... everything a while ago, I figured I’d post my favorite FE characters class-by-class as well! I’ll also post my least favorites.

The games I own are Sacred Stones, Path of Radiance, Radiant Dawn, Shadow Dragon, New Mystery on an emulator, Awakening, Heroes, all 3 Fates & Echoes. I’ve played a bit of FE4 too but I’m not far enough into it to pick favorite characters.

Favorite Lord:

Male- Chrom (He’s pretty vanilla but I still love me my Blueberry Dorklord)

Female- Erika (Who is not NEARLY as foolish as recent entries would have you believe. She’s quite a bit better than Celica at any rate- there’s no way she’d fall for fkn JEDAH)

Least Favorite- Ephraim (He’s such a... warmonger. There is no point in the entirety of SS where I go “Yes, he’ll make a good king!”)

Favorite Cavalier/Paladin/Great Knight

Seth wins, but Xander and Berkut are close seconds. Seth/Erika is my ultimate FE OTP- they’re the only ones in the whole series I can’t even bear to pair with anyone else for a playthrough to get their supports. I like Xander/Corrin and Xander/Sakura quite a bit, but neither come anywhere close honestly. And Berkut is my angry garbage son~

Least favorite goes to Jagan. You honestly think I’m going to kill Frey who arguably has better stat growths than both Cain and Abel and keep you? Screw canon, off you go, old man!

Favorite Myrmidon/Swordsmaster/Trueblade

I mean, Navarre doesn’t really count because he’s my favorite FE character PERIOD. Besides Navarre, I like Joshua.

Least favorite is Marissa. Not that crazy about Mia either, but Marissa is just so inferior to Josh stats wise and while he’s tons of fun, she’s no fun at all. If she were in another game it’d different but Joshua makes her look really bad in comparison. Plus she took his spot in Awakening AND I’M STILL SALTY 4 YEARS LATER

Favorite Mercenary/Hero/Dreadfighter

Navarre in FE1

Ike!... Yes, I’m counting him here... Oh fine, Ogma then. They’re both big gay softies that are 40% pure iron muscle and 60% heart. I bet they give the best hugs!

(And no, I don’t believe Ogma’s “feelings” for Caeda are in any way romantic bc he met her when she was like 5 and he was probably 20. He probably feels like her big brother or father- which is equally impossible for him to express due to his lot in life. Plus, Marth never gets jealous around him, while he practically turns green around any of the other characters interested in her.)

(Oh, and I consider Soren to be the more canon partner for Ike over Sothe and Ranulf bc Priam is a thing and I’m like 70% sure Soren is supposed to be trans. And yes, there is a canon lesbian whose name is currently escaping me & Sothe is canonically bi, they just went with the “heavy implied to the point of being basically irrefutable” route instead of outright stating it, so it is VERY possible Soren is trans. I like all 3 ships tho)

Least favorite is... The dude from SS. I can’t even remember his name. He’s the only freaking mercenary in SS and his personality doesn’t do anything for me.

Favorite Knight/General/Baron

The Black Knight of course! His writing is bit... a lot of a mess, but you can’t deny how badass he is.

On a less villainous note, Forsythe is pretty cool too.

Least favorite is... IDK, was there one in Awakening? I thought there was one on the cover but he’s so forgettable...

Favorite Archer/Sniper/Ballistician/Bow Knight/Hunter

Leon is also pretty cool, but he’s not nearly as useful in-game. I like Niles too! But I’d be lying if I said a good part of that wasn’t bc of Takehito Koyasu and his sexy voice rip

Least favorite is Faye in Heroes Python’s inability to hit the broad side of a barn Zero’s stupid name change to Niles Innes. His stats are nice but his personality rubs me the wrong way.

Favorite Pegasus/Falcon Knight/Sky/Kinshi Knight

Probably Claire! I didn’t expect to like her much (I got Maribelle vibes at first), but she really grew on me throughout the game and her supports. I love the way her friendship with Alm was written- if it had evolved into a romance I would have found it believable, but it’s one of the VERY, VERY few times I think IntSys has handled a one sided crush on the main character well.

Least favorite is... Probably Cordelia. Like I said, VERY few times. (Vanessa, Sumia, Syrene, Palla, Catria, Est, Hinoka, Subaki, Tanith and Sigrun all tie for second to last. This is... not my favorite class.)

Favorite Dracoknight/Wyvern Rider/Wyvern Lord

Hmmm... I would say Camilla, but my headcanon version of her is quite a bit different from the way she actually is in canon lol. So... Probably promoted Caeda. Minerva is utterly useless on the battlefield, unfortunately, and I like Caeda about the same as Clare so I put her here.

I guess I like Haar, Jill, Cormag, Gwin, and Valter (As a villain, not as a person) somewhat too.

Least favorite has to go to Beruka. I find her... bland.

Favorite Villager/Recruit

Favorite Thief/Trickster/Assassin/Rogue/Ninja

That has to go to Julian! He’s very similar to Gaius, but instead of candy, his thing is puns. Fun fact: I have a blood sugar condition similar to diabetes IRL that makes me unable to eat sugar, so Gaius just made me crave sweets I can’t have most of the time :/

Second place goes to Gangrel or Rennac. Gangrel is actually my second favorite character to romance in Awakening due to his great redemption arc in his supports with both Robins & his talks with Em in the DLC, and IMO he makes the second best dad to Morgan (And yes, I have ALL of male Morgan’s supports with his fathers, yes, it was boring, repetitive, and took hours, and yes, the only one I like better is Chrom), and Rennac is just... so hilariously cranky. They also both go in the “They deserved better in their endings” bin- Rennac can’t marry L’rachel despite their great chemistry and Gangrel flat-out dies if you don’t marry him.

Least favorite... I guess Nina. I never found her very funny.

Favorite Cleric/Troubadour/Valkyrie/Bishop/War monk

Elise! She is... one of two healers I like. In the entire series.

The other is L’rachel.

And Sakura, Lissa, Natasha, and Rena I... don’t particularly dislike.

I don’t like any others. Tat/iana is the worst of the bunch. Tat/iana is actually my least favorite character in the series

Favorite Fighter/Pirate/Warrior/Barbarian

Maybe... Vaike or Ross? Or Boyd? Basilio? Wow, there aren’t any I really like a lot. Guess this is my least favorite class.

My least favorite of all HAS to be Arthur though.

Favorite Mage/Monk/Dark Knight/Sage

Soren! He’s really well written. At first he comes off as a racist asshole, but as the game goes on & you get his supports, he proves himself to be a really great, three-dimensional character. And he’s so gay for Ike. Like, so, so gay.

Least favorite is all of the little red-headed boys that are clones of each other. Except maybe Ewan, because he’s actually useful in-game. Most of the others aren’t.

Favorite Dark Mage/Sorcerer/Summoner/Necromancer/Druid/Witch/Cantor

LYON!!!! Oh man, I don’t want to spoil exactly what happens but suffice to say that he is my FAVORITE antagonist in the series.

My least favorite is either Validar or Iago... I don’t know which to pick. They are how NOT to do a decent sorcerer villain in FE. But all of the Cantors in Echoes also get a special mention for being FREAKING ANNOYING.

Favorite Manakete/Dragon Laguz

Tiki- particularly young Tiki! She’s so sweet... and badass!

Least favorite... ugh, I have to say Myrrh. I do like her, but her uses of Dragonstone are so limited that you can barely use her and while she’s just as cute as Tiki, she’s not nearly as tough. She also has a lot sadder story than Tiki- she’s a really good character, but she just doesn’t make me feel bubbly and happy when I see her the way Tiki does.

Favorite Beast Laguz/Bird Laguz/Taguel/Wolfskin/Kitsune

All hail King Naesala! He’s another character that brings a smile to my face when I see him-and that’s saying quite a bit, since he has a pretty serious story. This man oozes personality- He shows up on screen and you know he’s there to kick the world and rule the ass. And no, that’s not backwards.

Honorable mention to Reyson- every time these two are on screen together you know that Reyson is about three seconds from punching Naesala right in the nose, never mind the fact he’d probably break every bone in his tiny, fragile fist. The fact that Naesala’s only paired ending is with Reyson’s sister is just hilarious to me.

I guess my least favorite is Lyre... She sort of feels like she’s just there to have one more playable character to me, since she has so little bearing on the story.

Favorite Dancer/Singer

In terms of personality, supports, and gameplay, Feena is far and away my favorite. However... I’m honestly not a huge fan of her design, so in terms of appearance, Azura, who I personally think has one of the best designs in the series, takes the cake. The fact she has such a catchy theme song is a huge bonus too!

Tethys gets the last spot because she’s completely useless in battle. I’ve heard Ninian can’t fight either but she boosts your stats- why did they give Tethys the shaft so badly?

Favorite Lancer/Soldier

And finally... ending this on a weird one. See, neither Nephenee nor Oboro do anything for me- I don’t dislike them, but I don’t particularly like them either. So, I guess this one goes to Azura!
