In the house of Daena, a young Alhaitham watches, from the corner of his eye, a young Hakuno sitting in the seat beside him. He wonders why someone would choose to sit so close to others, especially when there are plenty of other seats available. Of course, he ends up putting away his book and shifting over by one chair. After all, the last thing one needs on the first day of school is to contract a serious case of cooties. (Young Alhaitham to Young Hakuno 💕)

the first day of school is a daunting day for a child !   and while the young kishinami hakuno was still stuck on finding the perfect greeting to make for a decent first impression,  it seemed that the other children were several steps faster ...

there were small groups already,  each having the cheerful buzz of a lively conversation  —  it looks fun,  she thinks,  being able to talk to each other so happily like that ...  definitely not something she could do.  with just a glance,  and without a word,  the girl got the feeling that there was no space for her there  /  here  /  anywhere.      

so it might have been natural for her attention to be drawn to the other loner in the classroom.  a boy with silver hair and seafoam eyes, focused on the book in his hands.  with the intent to strike up conversation  ( once she found the right words ...  and the perfect timing ... )  hakuno decides to occupy the seat next to him.  there's a small sound as she does,  coming as a result of her weight upon what must've been a wobbly chair leg.

❛   ... eep.   ❜       small hands hastily cover her mouth after that little squeak,  caramel eyes surreptitiously peering at the other.  had he heard that .. ?   ohh,  it hasn't even been a minute and they've already started off on the wrong foot .. !  ( and it was quite literally,  in her case ! )

he'd shifted his seat  ——  ah.  could it be ?   he'd noticed,  but instead of saying anything that might've made her uncomfortable,  moved in order to give her his seat ... ?

mumbling out a thank you,  she settles into the empty space with a bit more energy to her,  invigorated by what she'd perceived as kindness and a possibility for a friendship.  he's back to burying his nose into the book,  but this was more like an opportunity for her to take out a sheet of paper from her bag.  a few minutes of careful folding,  cutting,  crafting,  and—

Had a BLAST at London MCM Comic Con and here's the inevitable blog about that.

I aim to come here once a year and this time, I came as my truesona 4LY (pronounced "Ally", my irl name but I often call them "Fourly" instead). It features the funny TV head with the silly bunny ears and an LED screen I can edit on the fly. It ended up bringing a lot of smiles and entertainment, and throughout the convention I was beaming!!

I met a lot of awesome cosplayers and decided to edit some of the photos I took! I wish I took more pics, but I'm so shy and introverted sometimes it's very hard to bring up the courage. :'D Thankfully, however, everyone I interacted with was kind and very friendly!

Had an amazing haul too, featuring yet another Hatsune Miku to sit on top of my PC and these sweet Chainsaw Man figurines where Denji and Power are playing with Pochita and Meowy respectively. I simply refused to leave the convention without getting them.

Plenty of people took pictures of/with me and gave me such sweet compliments, my heart was so warm (I promise it's not because of how hot it is in my TV)! I even got free candy and a sticker. :'3

Overall I had an AMAZING time and it was also a learning experience on how to improve my TV head; primarily, its struggle to ventilate and its poor support on my head (It's kinda heavy, and often falls forward due to lack of support security. Had to spend most of the convention holding my head upright both so I could breathe cool air from the bottom and not ruin my posture any more than it is).

Hope to attend next year!!
