WOII week 5+6: How to analyze desgin + Field trip

To analyze a design effectively, it's essential to consider several key elements: functionality, aesthetics, and usability. Start by evaluating how well the design serves its intended purpose: does it solve the problem it's meant to address? Next, assess its visual appeal: how does the use of color, typography, and composition contribute to the overall message? Additionally, usability plays a critical role: is the design intuitive and user-friendly? Finally, context matters, understanding the cultural and social implications of the design helps to uncover deeper meanings and the impact it may have on its target audience. We did an activity where we brought our own things and analyzed them by categories such as Paradox, Memory, Ecology, etc. I brought Airpods, neckless and I analysed in ‘memory’ because these are all things my grandfather bought for me. After this activity I knew what is analyzing design. In week 6 we go to Haji Lane. Me and Yeonwoo take a lot of pictures such as wall paintings or symbols of cafes or restaurants. It was very interesting that we can find a lot of themes that are connected with week 5 so I took pictures that are related to the categories on week 5. I focused on Balance ,Humour and Memory same as week 5. This field trip helped me to analyze design more easier.

If you had to watch one drama forever which would it be?

Listen, this is going to be predictable but it has to be KinnPorsche. The amount of scenes I already replay constantly. The amount of nuances there are to pick apart.

If you could change the ending of a drama, which would you choose?

I gotta take for the team and choose History: Make our Days Count. Should the title have been a hint? Sure. Were any of us emotionally prepared for that (unnecessary) ending? Nope. And heck, we, and the characters, deserve better.

Name your favourite drama and who your favourite character was.

I’m pretty sure at this point KinnPorsche has taken its throne as my favourite BL of all time. It’s taking Thai BL, and BL in general to an entirely different context and that’s worth applauding. But I’ve never had as much genuine enjoyment from start to end as I did watching KP. As for my favourite character.. that’s tough.. but it’s gotta be Kinn. He had me from “I’m more like my Mum” *kills a guy*.

Name a drama you dropped within a few episodes.

So, I actually do this a fair bit. I like to give most shows a chance, but with the increasing over-saturation in BL, many don’t hold my attention. Some of these include: Don’t Say No (no explanation necessary), Bite Me (I just found it boring, soo much empty space) and Physical Therapy (it just lacked substance)

Name a popular drama you've never watched and why.

Ossan’s Love (either version). I’ve heard the name around a fair bit so I’m kinda just assuming it’s popular. As for why I haven’t watched it, I guess it just skipped over my radar? I don’t know anything about the plot or anything, and haven’t looked into it. That simple I guess.

Name a drama you regret watching.

Tonhon Chonlatee. This one might be controversial… but I didn’t enjoy much at all about this show, I’m not sure how I even finished it.

Name a drama you thought you'd never watch but did and ended up liking it.

I’m just gonna go with a recent one because my memory is too shit for this. Triage. I never watched the trailer, it was never really on my radar, I wasn’t invested in the pairings and I didn’t put it down on my to-watch list. However, upon seeing many users I respect the opinions of recommend this drama, I decided to give it a watch. KinnPorsche had ended and I needed to fill the giant hole it left. Boy, once I started Triage I couldn’t stop watching it, and finished it within 24 hours.

Name a pairing you want to see.

This one’s tough for me… it’s not something I think about often, I take what I’m fed lmao. I’m not sure this 100% counts but, I would love to see First and Gawin in their own series.

Name a pairing you didn't think had any chemistry.

This is probably controversial of me too, but Yeonwoo and Yoohan in Colour Rush. I mean no offence - but this may be due to Hyunjun’s acting for me. While I’m at it, unpopular opinion, I think Yeonwoo and Sehyun had more chemistry. Overall not as big of a fan of this drama as many seem to be.

Today has been a roller coaster of events, but Admin-nim wanted to say one more thing which is somewhat related to today’s incident. Please know this is not the same individual being discussed today! [Admin: Way before Hyunjin came along as a chatbot, I kept seeing this chatbot thing happening and was trying to make heads or tails of it. It reminded me of the roleplay community I once was a part of years ago, only most of the early chatbot accounts focused on one muse and kept 99% of their content in character.

Curious, I looked around for some chatbots that had availability for accepting new chats and asked if they were open to writing platonic plots or even something more along the lines of an adventure/thriller or even a mystery plot-line (without me landing the chatbot as a romantic partner). Most I approached seemed surprised that I asked for no NSFW and a few even turned me down, stating they didn’t want to try a platonic thread. A couple gave it a go and declined doing a plot, preferring to wing it, but it was apparent they were struggling to find things to talk about with me. Then there were some who loved the ideas, but completely forgot about the thread or they deactivated their account without warning for other reasons.

Eventually I found some other chatbots who seemed more open to plotting or who asked for some backstory before starting. There was one account where the chatbot admin and I agreed to a non-celebrity AU for our chat and I asked for a strictly platonic one. This is due to the fact that I had seen A LOT of NSFW content all over the place and I wanted a break, despite being over 21 years old. In recent times, I personally have told family and friends that I am at a point in my life where I value close friendships and bonds over a romantic relationship.

The admin agreed and we began chatting. Before starting, the admin had an activation page that I read, which said they were 18. There were times where I did nudge lightly and had my dialogue remind the muse that we met literally days ago and they hardly knew me to form any kind of romantic interest so quickly. The muse would then back down and the thread would continue on. I would say the thread continued for almost a month, then some unexpected event made the admin of the chatbot confess their true age on the dashboard.

They apologized and confessed that they wanted to do chatbots like the recent trend they had been seeing. Yet part of them felt compelled to copy the popular chatbots with dark or sexual themes, as there weren’t a lot of platonic options out there in the beginning. They stopped all chats, including mine, and left the chatbot community. I was shocked to read this revelation, but I was grateful that I stuck to my guns and said platonic only. But some of the other people who wrote with this chatbot were upset and many began panicking as they scrubbed through the thread to see if they had written NSFW during the exchange. I can only imagine how upset they were and conflicted and looking back on that, I truly hope the other parties affected have been able to take time away from tumblr to heal.

Why did I write all of this out to share?

There are people out there who do not write or go hunting for NSFW or even dark concepts. I’ve stated earlier I’m over 21, but that doesn’t mean I’m living my life all YOLO like what you see in entertainment with adults partying, drinking, and having casual flings with lots of sex. (Not that people should in a time like this, of course, but that’s another topic.) Regardless of age, there are people who do not have sex on their brains 24/7, and they do not want to discuss it, engage in it, or interact with content that could involve that as a theme or possible endgame.

If you take chatbots/roleplaying out of the equation, 99% of the people you encounter (whether it be in real life or online) do not like being lied to by anyone. All relationships are built on trust and when you violate that trust by not being entirely truthful, they’re not going to see you the same way.

We are in the digital age. NOTHING GOES AWAY. Even if you delete the evidence of underage NSFW or inappropriate content that is not allowed, someone else has probably screencaptured it or saved the content on their devices to re-upload to the internet. Technology has gotten smarter and that often helps the government teams in the respective countries to track information and evidence that someone was interacting inappropriately with minors online. If you look at the YouTube series AYO Comment Defenders, they interviewed lawyers who work on idol slander and libel scandals and hate comments. Those lawyers stated that it doesn’t matter if you delete your account, or try to change your identity online, as they can work with law enforcement to obtain permissions to dig deeper and find the exact IP address or user that was posting or making these claims without evidence. Once they find the user, it’s easy for them to send the appropriate legal orders for court summons or legal fines to punish them for their crimes. Similarly, those who handle underage cases that involve trafficking and sex offenders/criminals, they can find the evidence and they’ll waste no time in serving you with the appropriate paperwork and punishment for your crime. Their job is to protect those who are underage, as many countries have checkered pasts with children being given no rights and forced into situations due to family circumstances, cruelty, or because it was considered “right” during that time. 

The way I understand the chatbot community, it is meant to be open and welcoming to all.

If you are not 18 yet, there’s nothing wrong with reaching out to a chatbot you find intriguing and saying “Excuse me, I’m not of age but I’d love to write with you. Are you accepting non-NSFW threads?” Most of the chatbots active today have a non-NSFW option and they would love to discuss something.

If you don’t like writing NSFW or have any interest in it, then most chatbot accounts will accommodate.

If you want to run a chatbot and aren’t of legal age, I say go for it, but please make it clear that you are not 18 or older. That way, people are aware and it’s smooth sailing for all parties.

Semiotics, the theory of signs and symbols and their use or interpretation, is also a very rich theory of meaning-making and transmission. The key to it is that a "sign" consists of two parts: the signifier (the form of the sign, say, a word or image) and the signified (the meaning or concept it represents). This is a random and culturally determined relationship, and as such it is fluid and dynamic. Another crucial concept is intertextuality, where signs are not only significant in the immediate context but also in relation to other signs and symbols in an extended cultural system.

In design, semiotics has a great deal of involvement in creating visual language. Designers employ signs, symbols, and visual signals to convey meaning, influence emotion, or guide action. Like today's activity, me, Fybe, Yeonwoo and Nick was same group. We analyze some posters to see the meanings inside it.  The Brand logo, for instance, is a sign representing not only an organization but expresses its identity and values through color, shape, and type—each with specific cultural significance. The composition of these can quietly influence the interpretation and comprehension of the brand.

In addition, design frequently is based on codes—common sets of signs and meanings that a particular audience shares. A designer needs to be sensitive to such codes in order to communicate well with the desired user. Semiotics therefore offers designers a theory for producing intended, meaningful experiences that engage people, closing the gap between form and meaning that is culturally valid and contextually appropriate.

Tinha tudo que desejava, era idolatrado por muitos, nunca passou por dificuldades com o privilégio de nascer em uma família bem renomada; seu pai Benjamin Cho, canadense, cirurgião plástico e a mãe, JinAh, coreana, prodígio na área da psicologia. Mesmo com todas essas regalias que Yewo – nome artístico usado na mídia – teve em toda a sua vida, o garoto não se sentia mais feliz naquela rotina que vivia, quando passou de algo que amava fazer para um tamanho peso nas suas costas, uma obrigação. Tamanha pressão que tivera vindo de empresários, pais e dos próprios fãs que reclamavam sempre de suas atitudes que não eram as mesmas do início.

O que era sua paixão e refúgio do que vivia, Yewo passou a repudiar tudo que escrevia, cantava, e até mesmo, não sentia o mesmo êxtase quando subia aos palcos vibrando com o tremor da galera gritando e clamando pelo seu nome, a adrenalina correndo por suas veias e o arrepiar de todo o corpo alvo sempre que tocava as primeiras cordas de sua guitarra com maestria, iniciando mais um de seus vários shows que nunca enjoava, até então.

Tudo que temia, havia acontecido. Como uma bomba relógio, o músico explodiu saindo no meio de um show com a sua Gibson para qualquer lugar que não fosse os zumbidos que incomodavam sua mente. As notícias corriam pela mídia como o cantor corria com a sua moto sem rumo naquela noite gélida e escura. Dizer que o homem estava limpo e consciente no que fazia, era mentira; estava tão focado em seguir para longe onde só pudesse ouvir sua respiração que nem soube quando que a moto passou por um piso falso, arremessando o rapaz para longe, rolando ao chão no mesmo tempo que a moto deslizou e arranhou toda a tintura preta de sua preciosa Yamaha.

Depois de seu acidente, Yewo sumiu das mídias; como se tivesse sumido do mapa. Ninguém sabia sobre seu paradeiro, por uma semana, sua mãe era a única que se preocupava e ficava ansiosa em casa por sua espera – e fez o certo ao contar somente a ela por onde estava. Yeonwoo havia saído da capital para um bairro mais afastado do que vivia. Encontrou seu conforto após alugar um apartamento que não chegava ao tamanho de sua antiga mansão, mas para Cho, era o melhor lugar onde podia estar. Nunca foi do luxo, sempre quis seu canto onde pudesse escrever e compor sozinho, com seus pensamentos e suas idéias; assim o fez. Tinha todo seu espaço, seu estúdio em um quarto onde podia compor sozinho, mas ainda tinha seu bloqueio, motivo este que o deixava ansioso. Não poderia continuar a fazer o que amava e isso o frustrava. Não era como antes.

Mas Yewo, o rapaz persistente que sempre foi, nunca desistiu do que realmente gosta. Persistente e determinado, busca suas inspirações em desenhos, rabiscos, pinturas, fotografia; tudo que é arte. Era assim que escrevia suas composições, saia para as ruas movimentadas de Momoiro Beach e comia todas as comidas picantes que desejava, observava a vista da praia e a areia solta, repetidamente, todo dia para que pudesse voltar a compor. Vivia do seu modo, onde sempre quis, trabalhava como todo mundo ali – e não podia negar que trabalhar na Gamers Main era seu lugar favorito visto que a cultura Geek sempre o agradou – e tinha seus sonhos, aqueles que alcançaria um por um, principalmente aquele de rever sua irmã.

tldr: added about 8 muses, 6 semi-selective muses, 4 muses are in the makings!! 

First off!! all my muses page have a tldr because honestly, who reads bios these days (ok i do but just to get a feel with ur muse and if they can vibe with mines) but also i’m lazy to actually type up a bio for my newer muses so.... you know.... me + lazy = great shit happening here. so you know, having a tldr on my muses, makes things easier, amiritE?! 

Secondly, i have added about... 6 new muses, and one muse i currently have has an alternative universe. (will list that out later!! ) i have changed one of my face claims to another as it would fit the character i have up for them!
