Liam closes his eyes as the call connects.

Theo’s breathing is the first thing that Liam hears and it deals a blow to the dull ache in his chest, almost dropping the phone.

“I got arrested—”

“— Hello?”

Liam resists the urge to laugh, swallowing down the bitterness in his throat and presses his palm against the desk, for stability, as he listens to the commotion on the other end of the line.

Liam thinks he might throw up, waiting for Theo to say something else, waiting for the click of him hanging up the phone because as much as he hates to admit it, Liam is not Theo’s problem anymore.

“Liam.” Theo says coolly, voice void of any emotion which Liam anticipates but he doesn’t expect it to feel like someone has just taken a hammer to his chest. Repeatedly.

“I got arrested.” Liam repeats, lowering his voice this time as the pain builds at the base of his skull, unsure if Theo had heard him the first time or if he even believed him. “I—uh— I didn’t know who else to call.” Liam admits through gritted teeth, even if it’s a bare faced lie.

Liam became used to the silences— whether it was Theo shutting down completely or just the silence that encompassed them that felt too delicate to break for mindless rambling.

This silence is almost torturous as Liam’s grip on the phone tightens.

“Okay.” Theo says after an eternity, of Liam almost giving up on him saying anything else. “Yeah. I’ll come and get you.” Theo says, answering the question that Liam didn’t have to ask.

Theo hangs up before Liam can say thank you— if he could even bring himself to do so.

thinking about the way that theo likely has a horrendous relationship with touch and he probably only associates it with pain and bad things and being torn apart and having pieces of himself stripped away little by little and i just wanna vom actually. he’s never known hands that were kind and gentle. he’s never known safety in someone else until liam and i actually am going to flip a table

My fav trope is when the protagonist knows that they want to kiss the love interest , like they’re not (or not totally) ashamed of it , but they’re in denial of why they want to do it.

Like “yea I totally want to crash my lips on his, but , just for science , like I want to know if I could taste the cherry lip stick they put every few hours. Nope I don’t have a crush . Scientific purposes only. Nothing else. Why would I want to kiss them otherwise ??? Duh ??”

And the bestfriend is just like , facepalming for having the dumbest friend possible

The moment Liam sees it, he doesn’t quite know what happens. It’s like everything falls away around him, Mason and Corey’s light-hearted, hand-clasped bickering over the merits of pocket squares fading into background noise as Liam finds himself making a beeline for the wonderful thing that’s just appeared on a rack across the aisle.

It’s just – it’s so soft. And fluffy. It has the delicate pink tone of an early spring morning or the inside of a shell or the blush that sometimes Liam manages to rise to Theo’s cheeks, and it has a big, soft hood and white fur on the inside and it’s perfect.

One day, he and Theo are sitting in a cafe, eating donuts, and Liam says, "So the founder of postmodernism, Duchamp, started this movement by coming drunk to an exhibition, tearing a urinal from the bathroom, signing it with a marker, and exhibiting it as an installation... He got arrested, of course, but the next morning he woke up a genius and a hero," and calmly washes down the donut with a cup of coffee. At that moment, Theo is looking at him with a frozen hand holding the donut near his open mouth.

My mums always asking my why I don't read as much as i did when I was younger. See, when I was a kid, I stayed up till 3am to finish whatever book I was reading. Now, I stay up till 3am to finish whatever 140k fanfiction I am reading.

And yet, the true difference is, when I finished the book I went to sleep. When I finish a fanfiction, I read another fanfiction.

So to answer my mums question, I don't read less now, I read more, it's just that instead of reading published books I read about two dumb werewolves teenagers at Disney land.

Having multiple ships in the same fandom is fun because it means that sometimes I get to write about a character from two very different perspectives (e.g. their love interest and some guy they only barely know) and that is, first of all, just so much fun, and secondly, it also makes me face and rediscover some facets of the character that I've forgotten about, which is also fun

TEEN WOLF BRAINROT

so, i've been rewatching teen wolf bc apparently netflix hates us europeans and it will be removed on may 31st and here are a few of my opinions TM

scott is actually a very good main character. listen, i got into this fandom when i was older, so i probably don't understand why there is this trend of hating scott, but he's a valid MC! he shows an example of positive masculinity that is honestly so refreshing to see in modern media: he's kind, compassionate, always optimistic but not stupidly so, has an amazing relationship with his mum AND his friends, he's not afraid to show emotions and cry. honestly a very healthy, albeit traumatised, young man. yes, he did stupid stuff for the girl he liked, and yes he misjudged a few situations, but please, remind me, how old is he supposed to be? 16? 17? 18? yeah. i did worse things at his age.

scott and stiles come from working class families!!! they have money problems!! it's honestly so refreshing to see teenagers discuss money in a supernatural/fantasy tv show. it doesn't usually happens and I've found it refreshing because it's something that usually happen between irl teenagers.

i don't get sterek. really, really don't. maybe it's bc i've watched the show through a gen z lens (meaning the media and the culture (read: THE INTERNET) when i watched the show were influenced more by gen z than millennials' values) but i really don't get it. and the age difference makes me uncomfortable. (same thing with parrish and lydia, SHE'S A MINOR DUDE, there's a reason people don't like cops istg) SOMEONE EXPLAIN STEREK TO ME PLEASE

in fics stiles and scott's personalities are often swapped: stiles is the caring one, the pack mum, scott is the one with homicidal tendencies. like, my dudes, the fact that scott is a GOOD person through and through is the reason he's a true alpha. also the reason we, as viewers, like stiles is bc he's sarcastic and more morally ambiguous than scott (not really, but you get it, he cares more about himself and his immediate friends, the others can die, scott instead want to save everyone period), it's like taking away the thing that makes stiles stiles

malia and stiles were SO cute, i didn't expect to like them so much, but when they broke up my heart shattered

stydia is everything i want in a ship and i will not accept any criticism on it, it's literally one of the only straight ships i like. you have the slowburn, the malewife x girlboss trope, the he fell first but she fell harder, the mutual pining. it literally checks all of my boxes

isaac was such a cool character and he and scott had an amazing dynamic, like come on, they had something going on between them

kira is a badass. that's it, that's the comment. i like her so much

derek's development is one of the best. i couldn't stand him in season 1, but in s4 he became one of my favourite characters. but i think this has more to do with the fact that they aged him up? he was supposed to be in his early 20s in s1, but then they aged him up in s3? well, anyway, i liked how he literally wised up, stepping into the role of a teacher and guide instead of a leader, it suits him so much better (and i'm sure it's less stressful)

peter is such a charmingly evil bastard. i hate him, but i love him at the same time.

thiam is the best ship in the show, i don't care if it's canon or not. i've read airplanes, it's canon to me

we would've liked (simped for) s5 theo more if he had the same haircut he had in 6b. he was just stupidly hot.

allison and lydia should've kissed and so malia and kira. give me my wlw couples.
