#also please for the love of gourd do not take this seriously i am joking I do not hold any of these behaviors against my cats I know that #all cats are a little stinky and weird I have had cats all of my life I am not genuinely condemning my cats i am being silly please lol #(some of my goofy cat posts in the past will always get like.. one or two people taking an issue with something incredibly #mundane. like me saying a cat is being rude or somehting and someone being like 'um actually cats cant process the concept of #rudeness. he has no idea he did anything wrong!' ........ yes...... i am aware.. that my cat has the brain of a cat lol #ANYWAY.... polls!!! so excited to have polls.. I will try not to be annoyig but I just love asking random things to the general #public. in friend groups I am always the one asking people to taking surveys. quizzes. making surveys and handing them out. etc.#the rare times I can partially overcome my social anhedonia/inability to socially function properly/etc. is when I'm interviewing people or #socializing specifically in the context of like Information Gathering lol #I love running questionairres and stuff . even about the most mundane pointless topics. there's just soemthing really interesting #about like....... being able to ask people stuff and then look at and analyze the results.#Even though that's an incredibly simple average thing. idk.. my brain loves information even if it's pointless silly information.#I Just Think It's Neat. I have so so sos os oso many ideas but I wanted to make the first poll about my cats #of course because I'm also obsessed with them lol. I was thinking of taking some of the pictures of them in front of a blank #canvas and doing a poll of 'what are they painting?' or 'what should they paint?' but I decided to go with babey crimes #for now. inspired by various baby crimes committed just this morning. Fresh on my mind..#I wish they had a middle option though between '1 day' and '1 week'. I think a week is too long for a poll like this but also #one day is not long enough because I dont really have THAT many active followers. if it was just a day it would probably reach like 5 poepl #people. I want to at least be able to reblog it a few times maybe. lol #I think 3-4 days would be ideal. Its a new feature though. I'm sure they'll modify things as time goes on.#Still feeling sick and bad and weird and not being that productive at all generally but... I have just enough energy stores..#using up every ounce of my power to make a goofy poll... a worthy sacrifice....

i am definitely procrastinating on my studies right now (hello, finals) and no one asked for this, but. okay, as someone who’s now just a gasp away from finishing her first year of law school, the way i can confidently say that yes, make friends at law school/professional school in general. but also the way i want to slam over everyone’s heads that like. also. it is quite literally necessary to stay in touch with and invest even more deeply in your friendships outside of professional school because hello did you know that those people are going to be the ones that remind you that you have an actual personality

#caroline talks #this is partially me joking around and partially me being really serious #not really shading my law school or even my law school classmates #bc i think for the most part. i am lucky to be in the community i'm in #but it is. at the end of the day. still law school #and i am. still at the end of the day. a member of the legal community now #and sometimes that's fantastic. and other times it sucks so much.#which is why. it's so important to have friends outside of the whole world #because i've had multiple friends of mine shake me awake and be like 'remember why you wanted to do law school. REMEMBER WHY'#and it's so hard for me to remember that sometimes.#so. yes. friends .. . good. non-law friends .. . . VERY good.#the reason i have not actually dropped out of law school yet is. because of that one (1) professor #who said 'don't you DARE drop out because of [X]. you are way too smart to do that'#+ also so many of my great friends who have gone 'u are doing something cool with your life. don't drop out'#and one friend going 'whenever u want to quit. just remember that a white straight man could be taking your job right now'#and i was so tempted to be like 'they're already doing that' but still. the saying did fill me with enough rage to keep myself from #quitting. so here we are besties!!!#fuck everything else i am going to GET this stupid degree with the power of SPITE and FRIENDSHIP

'people should make weirder gender headcanons,' i say, looking at my main group of OCs, of which none of them use they/them except innocence (who is genderfluid)

#you have:#des (he/she bigender man/woman; no preference)#night (it/its; nonbinary butch lesbian [in a gender way])#silver (he/him agender with no gendered terms)#prayer (it/xe; some sort of genderweird)#grace (he/him in a vaguely transmasc way that isn't actually transmasc like he's not. binary. but he's also Not not binary??)#and moth (sae/sem/sair/sies/saeself; some flavor of transfem but in a very nonbinary way)#and innocence doesn't even Primarily use they/them. they cycle through Everything #i just use they/them for them because my brain shits itself if i try to rapid cycle through every pronoun possible #if you have two pronouns i'll alternate when i remember to. three i'll struggle but i'll try #4+ and i will probably give up and stick with one on any given day #i just cannot keep that much in my head and i cannot keep up with innocence's gender fuckery #this is why IWSY is second person! /hj #anyway i'm not biased at all why would you say that /s #IWSY #also yes i included innocence as an OC. let's be real past a certain point if you headcanon for them enough #they become an OC. mx 'has no canon dialogue and is mentioned exactly twice in vanilla and only once more in downpour' innocence #IWSY being second person is only partially a joke because that was a legitimate reason behind like. the design for the innocence of youth #i saw no canon pronouns for innocence and wind and was like. okay how do i write this in a way that completely avoids using pronouns #for innocence that ended up being writing their fic in second person #wind i did a funny thing of manipulating the narration to never use pronouns #i guess you could also say that in a way this influenced my all pronouns innocence and no pronouns wind #but that's not really it for innocence. genderfluidity just felt right for them
