K so, I can't not mix things that I like so an MXTX novels YgoISH au has been created. So some ideas for the au:

Millenial items? Not really.  

The Lan family is basically like the Ishtars, except their mission is only to keep items safe and supresed (they collect dangerous, usually very much possesed, items). But something happened and a lot of items were lost, now they’re looking for them.

Yue Qingyuan and Mu Qingfang are Shen Yuan’s older brothers and Ning Yingyi his younger sister. Shen Yuan has a fan -possesed by Shen Jiu- that he can`t get rid of. Shen Jiu has a personal vendeta against Luo Binghe because Luo Binghe’s past life was the one who brought his end.

Mo Xuanyu has Chenqing -possesed by Wei Wuxian (the only good ghost out of the main 3). He kind of wants to help Wei Wuxian gain the memories of when he was alive.

Xie Lian has the crying-smiling mask (possesed by White No Face). He’s also the one who has had the item the longest, he kind of has given up cuz no matter how hard he tries he doesn’t seem to be able to free himself from the godforsaken mask, yet it terrifies him all the same.

Lan Zhan has dreams of his past life.

The vessels (Mo Xuanyu, Shen Yuan and Xie Lian) recieve messages and missions from The System. Nobody knows what The System’s objective is; sometimes it gets them to do good things, sometimes not so good things and other ties it’s control is too much. Throughout their different lives The System has used the main 3 to collect/harvest rescentment, what does The System wants/needs the rescenment for? Who knows! Nothing good tho! A Yuri on Ice!!! Yu-Gi-Oh!AU no one asked for.

Ok first thing first, I wanted to draw them in YGO aesthetics clothes, which is like, a lot of belts and leather. But then it got out of hand after I think about it more and more. But this AU is literally just them playing children card games and be fluffy and embarrassing and stuff. Also I love YGO.

YUURI KATSUKI (23)

Uses an Ice Barrier deck (the badge and his buckle are the symbol of ice barriers) basically the ice barrier archetype consists characters from variety of asian cultures (the dragon behind him is called ‘Trishula, Dragon of Ice Barrier’ which is one of the ace of this deck).

Has a Winged Kuriboh (mostly bc I am a big ass fan of GX but also for Viktor reason that will be explained at his section underneath).

Graduated from Duel Academy Central (located somewhere in Southern Japan) owned by Kaiba Corp. 

Then he went straight to the pro-league while going to university in America.

While in the USA Yuuri participated in local tournaments and went back once a year to attend the Japan Championships.

Sometimes tag teams with Phichit.

Uses the Duel Academia issued duel disk that he re-painted to skyblue

As a professional duelist, Yuuri has reigned over the Asian Region for five years.

Though has a lot of potential, he has anxiety issues and always got scared of playing a big strategy, especially at important duels.

For the past five years he has been a pro-duelist, he never had the balls to compete at the World Championship, saying that his deck is not ‘good enough yet’. (irl ice barrier decks are not competitive, bc some its ace monsters are banned, but if said monsters are not banned the deck is super broken)

Though he went last year and bombed when he went for a big strategy that involves his ace cards. (As per canon met Viktor at the after party)

VIKTOR NIKIFOROV (27)

The light of Yuuri’s life.

Uses a Blue Eyes White Dragon deck ala Seto Kaiba.

The dragon behind him is actually ‘Alternate Blue Eyes White Dragon’.

World Champion for a lot of years.

Coats are cool.

Graduated from Duel Academy North (said to be located somewhere in the Arctic) as the best student that year from all the branches.

Didn’t go to university and went straight to the pro-league.

Apparently, started his career in pro-dueling before he graduated.

The card inside his necklace is ‘Transcended Wings’, a spell card that allows Winged Kuriboh to evolve to ‘Lvl 10 Winged Kuriboh’, which is a damn swell card.

Uses a duel disk that is super extra and has holographic cards that Seto Kaiba used in the latest movie.

Summary:

They woke up with a strange feeling, clearly knowing something was up, one objective popping up in their mind; to protect the people from harm. Bakura has taken to using a technique he calls "Ryou eyes" basically like puppy dog eyes where he makes himself look like Ryou to make ppl think he's cute so he can get away with shit. His big mistake was trying to use this on Ryou, who is promptly enraged and yells at him "YOU CAN'T USE MY OWN FACE AGAINST ME YOU BELLEND"

Changing seasons in the roommate circus household means fights over the thermostat. As soon as the temperature dips, Marik thinks he's going to freeze to death and attempts to crank the heat to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Ryou tells him this is ridiculous and they will be keeping the apartment at a reasonable 68 degrees, prompting Bakura to launch into a long diatribe about how he CAN'T BELIEVE Ryou wants Marik to DIE and YEAH RYOU I SEE WHY YOU WANT THAT THERMOSTAT SO LOW. WOULDN'T WANT IT TO MELT THE BLOCK OF ICE THAT IS YOUR HEART at which point Ryou announces he will set the heat to 69 degrees. Bakura is delighted and drops the issue as Marik continues to whine that it's too cold.

i love how goofy yet wholesome the roommates are. those boys are going to annoy eachother almost to the point of murder but they love eachother so much. i love all the loving relationships. the family ties between ryou and bakura and the dual romances between bakura/marik and ryou/yugi. Yugi and Bakura's bizarre and highly unlikely friendship. Ryou managing to sometimes bring out Marik's reasonable side so they can both try to rein Bakura in before Marik decides he'd rather join him. THEY'RE GOOD BOYS YOUR HONOR

Marik and Bakura hear Ryou crying at night so they burst into his room and say "we had a nightmare" and plop down in bed next to him

They end up unintentionally kicking him onto the floor in the middle of the night but he appreciates the sentiment, at least

I love thinking that Ryou most of the time is just so irritated with Bakura's antics and wonders why he even bothers trying to help him be better but then Bakura unexpectedly gives him a hug or falls asleep next to Ryou on the couch with his head on his shoulder and Ryou is just like "sigh okay I guess this is all worth it"

Let me tell you a story. One day my Corolla started making a strange sound. I didn't give a shit and ignored it. It went away. The End.

You could take the engine out of this car, drop it off the Golden Gate Bridge, fish it out of the water a thousand years later, put it in the trunk of the car, fill the gas tank up with Nutella, turn the key, and this puppy would fucking start right up.

This car will outlive you, it will outlive your children.
