I binged I am Nobody 異人之下 in 3 days and howling watching the finale (internally, it's the middle of the night) and nearly falling off my bed (thankfully my cats didn't witness it).

IT IS REALLY GOOD!!!!

Please watch it!!!

It's addictive like a good shonen manga and there's so many interesting characters!

Argh! Almost ALL the I Am Nobody drama posts I’ve seen concentrate on Hou Ming Hao’s character and have nothing to do with the main leads. Yes, he is a nice-looking young man, but WTF!! He’s not the main.

Episode 5, Zhang Chulan gave up on all the Outsiders, but every faction is still trying to rope him in. In the end, he realises that Baobao has been there for all of this weird sh*t. Nicely, or not so nicely. But Baobao also realised her mistake and came to the rescue. But one stupid mistake leads to this:

He did tell her to stand still and this was the result. Luckily she can be saved. But he doesn’t really understand the supernatural world he’s entered at all.

ep 10/ wow. this episode was SO GOOD. i was eager to know her basckstory. so it seems like she's immortal???? she definitely went through some trauma before hence the loss of memory..i can't help but be reminded of zhang qiling from dmbj oops lol "super cool character, seemingly emotionless, long life span, very skilled in combat, loss of memories....." uhm yeah jshwusg it's kinda like the female version of xiaoge

Mini-review:

Welcome To My Side is exactly what I needed after watching several heavy movies in a row: a purely fun romcom. The initial premise is silly but also surprisingly hilarious, and the gimmick never overstays its welcome, cause it's used just the right amount of times. The dramatic twist during the third act might feel a bit sudden, but there's enough foreshadowing for it to work. It certainly helps that both Yu Shi and Wang Yinglu deliver two fantastic performances, with outstanding chemistry to boot. I'm not saying this is the best romcom I've ever watched, but it came to me at the perfect time.
