In my post-VG canon rana/neve/davrin do exist, I think. Like, roughly, the timeline for them is rana/neve in the aftermath and davrin bounces around for a bit before the idea of Minrathous Monsters and Murders (sometimes, also called Minrathous Murders and Monsters depending on who you’re speaking to chiefly bc I mix it up all the time and think it’s funny if they do too) is revisited. Then after that becomes a Real Thing and they’re working together a bunch, and taking care of each other a bunch, is when davrin gets folded into rana/neve.

Exactly how is tbd! But the dynamics are essentially: davrin and neve temper rana’s idealism but also keep her from being too serious; davrin and rana soften neve’s cynicism and keep her from sinking too far into the threads (make her take off that particular hat when she comes home kind of deal); neve and rana keep davrin from being too serious and encourage his monster manual (and subsequent volumes); and when any duo pairs up against the third, it’s doneso for them, but also all decisions must be unanimous. maker help anyone when all three of them are aligned on a thing. They each look out for each other and make sure they’re taking care of themselves or are taken care of when they’re too focused on a case. Cuddle puddles after hard cases and monster hunts.
