happy birthday to given's vocalist and guitarist, satou mafuyu!
may your seasons always be gentle and comfortable
*the 'ka (夏)' in ritsuka's name can also mean 'summer' & the name ritsuka (立夏) means 'beginning/first day of summer'
**yuki's (由紀) name technically means "reason, cause" and "chronicle" each character respectively but yuki, as pronounced (without minding the characters used), also means "snow"

Guys!!! Just finished this anime and you won't believe it was super awesome! And songs where amazing! I am in love with this!! But the songs really made me cry because it all were directed towards the Yuki 😭. I can't even imagine how much pain mafuyu might have suffer.
when people talk about the name meanings in given they always mention the mafuyu and yuki meaning winter and snow thing. but they never mention the fact that the three original members of the seasons, who literally named their band “the seasons” because their names all meant a certain season (summer, spring, fall), decided to change their band name once mafuyu joined because “the original name would no longer fit” even though MAFUYU’S NAME LITERALLY MEANS WINTER.
