MAPs were definitely a thing. They weren’t a big thing, but there was absolutely a community. Specifically, there was a community *on tumblr* that very much tried to attach itself to LGBT+ issues. But there was also a infant kink community and a beastiality community that did the same revolting bullshit. Once someone says “maybe other people shouldn’t have a say in an individual’s sexuality” there’s always some piece of shit ready to try to add on “and my sexuality requires a complete lack of consent and you can’t judge that!” I think any sex-positive space is going to have to deal with predators like that trying to use good and healthy arguments to justify their fucked up shit.
