here's the thing. a lot of chinese culture was spread to japan in mainly 2 ways, and this was through korea or ryukyu(okinawa). whenever korean envoys went to japan and came back, they'd always criticize and nitpick everything japan did wrong. your "emperor" is a king, not the emperor! that's reserved only for the son of heaven in the chinese court! how could you write the date wrong, it's not in order!

korchupan relations across the centuries are basically like you and a senior girl in highschool bullying a girl that's a year younger than you two, and then suddenly the one being bullied traps and tortures you in a basement during half of university while stalking the senior girl, and now you're in the workplace and you have to work with her now as colleagues while the senior girl is now the enemy

korea's the older one, she and her older twin brother reported the discovery of japan to china, and immediately became the middleman of "hey lil bro do you have a moment to talk about confucianism?" to this day she sort of teases him for being the younger one.

in a similar vein to amekor, things are relatively positive between japan and korea now, but she still holds him at arms length. japan enjoys kpop, and korea enjoys anime. yoasobi actually performed IDOL on M countdown(basically where kpop idols perform as fans vote for the top 10). yoasobi isn't a kpop idol, so her appearance was a surprise, and many koreans viewed it positively.

oshi no ko did quite well in korea, and walking around stores at least 1 gacha machine has oshi no ko merch.

anime fans like combining the kpop concept of photocards and like decorating merch cards of anime characters too.

there will be moments where jp spots korea at an anime event, both in cosplay. they're like "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE" and meanwhile korea spots jp at a twice concert and same thing happens.

japan also secretly enjoys kdramas lol

in the Olympics, when korea is against japan, many koreans keep yelling "get 10 points get 10 points" and then to japan "get 9 points get 9 points," so in that sense korea's quite competitive especially against japan.

korea also destroys him at league overwatch and valorant lol

in amekorpan meetings, both korea and japan actually share a similar disdain towards america, as he's the naive one that simply wants them to get along without much hassle. he's never been on the receiving end of embarrassment or defeat, so he wouldn't understand having to work with someone who's frequently expressed desires to invade for centuries. korpan also feels a shared sentiment of "he's the youngest in the room, why is he telling us what to do?" and if they both ever get a moment of privacy, they'll shittalk him lol

I feel like korpan only really gets along through a common enemy tbh. sometimes they'll talk abt how china was centuries ago, as the "older sibling" that insisted he knew better. and nowadays, they both shittalk him because "gaah communism our capitalist asses can't stand him!!"

however, sometimes they'll argue over who china liked more...lol

in short, korpan hates constantly being a sort of pingpong ball for america and china.

they come early to an amekorpan meeting to fight in the parking lot. hong kong and taiwan livestream these and split the superchat donations. after a few times japan and korea even learn to bring a change of clothes so they can show up to the meeting slightly early without bloodstains on their jackets. america never suspects a thing

when one of them dozes off or close their eyes during breaks, the other will get a cold can of coffee from the vending machine and place it on their forehead or neck. "no slacking"

she'll rarely invite him to her house alone without others. even though they have a lot of cultural exchange in the modern day, she doesn't consider him a friend, and no amount of online cafe gaming and street food sampling will change that. japan's more like a reluctant ally since america insists the both of them "get along!"

I’m like, 100% sure he won’t see it here (and also doesn’t speak English) so I’m just gonna go off on one of the other regular fans of my main idol group. I don’t really know him that well, but he’s always given me a weird fuckin’ vibe. He’s friendly enough, just quiet, and the one time we spoke it was him approaching me about trading senkou tokuten since he got one of my favourite member. Like, he sought me out because he knows I like her. So that was cool. But the way he interacted with/talks about his own favourite has always weirded me the hell out, man. It reads as 1000% gachikoi (real romantic feelings), which are inadvisable at best when it comes to idols. I’m immune to catching feelings thanks to being an alloaro, but when you can actually meet these people regularly sometimes fans end up falling for them. And this dude was seeing this girl REGULARLY. He’d get like, 10 chekis every concert so he’d have a ton of talk time with her, and he even at one point bought ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS worth of CDs to get the “private concert” (an actual, genuine concert, nothing dirty) bonus that they were offering. Like, yeah, it’s his money, but bruh, she’s not gonna date you. She may think you’re a nice person, even, but this is IDOL, not visual kei (lol), you’re not gonna be the guy to slip through the social barriers and marry your oshi. And honestly, you only have one outfit. I have seen you dozens of times and you’ve been wearing the same outfit literally every time. Not attractive, even if it’s a decent outfit! And this agency is confirmed by former talent to not be involved in any shady shit, so like, there is literally no path to what you want here, my guy. Anyway, when this member left the group back in March, this dude was crushed. Obviously. He even stopped using Twitter altogether.  But now he’s back! He’s been going to lives again. I saw him at the tour final and he apparently went to the thing in Shimokitazawa today (that I missed ;A;). And I checked his Twitter, and he’s posting again, but it’s WEIRD SHIT, MAN. He said he’s still attached to the remaining members a bit (valid) and has wanted to enjoy the songs again (also valid), but he’s also off on some shit about how he hates the agency, and I’m fairly certain it’s because he feels they didn’t push his favourite hard enough or something and that’s why she left. And honestly? If she left because of lack of exposure, that was her doing. She was quite shy and didn’t have much force of personality. And that’s fine and okay and even a selling point for a lot of idols, but if she wasn’t happy with where she was because of it, leaving was probably best for her anyway. I adored her. She was great. I’m not mad at this very small indie talent agency for not making her blow up. And then like, yeah, he’s saying stuff like “I’ll never have another oshi again, and I’ll just think back on my memories with her, happy that she was my last”. Buddy, she left in March. Like bruuuuuuuuuuuuh your behavior is so WEIRD Has she contacted you? No, because you’re talking about her like she’s dead or something. She knows your Twitter. These are indie idols, man, and she had the fewest regular fans. She knows how to contact you. She hasn’t done it. Maybe you’re too invested. Maybe this is terribly unhealthy and you need help. This shit’s fuckin bonkers, my guy. Go see a doctor. If you’re still this rabid like, half a year after she left, something’s up. This was an idol you saw for a few hours and spoke with for a few minutes a few times a month, not your wife of 23 years who fell ill with the consumption. Cut this shit out. Jesus. I don’t want someone like this around women, and if I’m gonna be seeing him at lives anyway I would love it if he, you know, wasn’t so fucking weird. The other core fans who are totally normal hang out with him and stuff, so like, is he just being dramatic or something? Is this a bit? Maybe they’re trying to help him. That’d be cool. Aya: It’s ordinary. When I come to Tokyo, we would go for a meal sometimes. The last time we met may be around new year. We both quite busy recently, so we don’t see each other much.

- I see. February is the time of training camp for university baseball team, so he doesn’t have time. Are there times you two quarrelling?

Aya: Though our study class is 2 years apart, but we are actually 1 year apart (Shibata Aya was born on 1 Apr.) So, it doesn’t feel another one is older. We weren’t quite close when we were teenagers, but we played Yu-Gi-Oh card game together when we were kids.  

- Now, your brother is no.4 of Hosei. Has he been good at sports since childhood?

Aya: He played football in kindergarten. He also started to play baseball around that time. In primary school, he was tall and ran very fast. He’s a regular in sport events. Shibata house is good at sports. My dad had played baseball until high school. And now he plays golf often. He said his best score is 81. He’s also good at skiing. For my mom, she’s also sportswoman. Looks like she also played some sports when she was in school.

Aya: It’s from people at my brother side. When sports reporters knew this, they asked him “SKE48’s Shibata Aya is your sister, isn’t she?” and my brother didn’t refuse. Then, he got on the news *laugh*

Aya: Never, this is the first time in my life to watch him play.

Aya: When Yoshiki was crazy about baseball, I was busy with study that I almost never go out. I basically don’t like going out. Only when Yoshiki was competing for Koshien (national high school baseball tournament), I watched him on TV a bit.

- I did some research. When he was 3rd year high school at Toho, his team went to play-off round in Summer. But they were narrowly defeated by Aiko Daimeden 3:2, they even cried. However, going to play-off round of Aichi prefecture was great already!

Aya: I had practice on that day, so I only watched half way. Seemed like he cried real hard.

- Getting eliminated from play-off in summer of 3rd year high school, anyone would cry *laugh* What about sister being an idol, has he ever said anything about it?

Aya: At first, he kept it quiet. It’s a pity that it got revealed so fast *laugh* After that, it seemed that his friend told him “(Your sister) She’s on TV today” Come to talk about it, he also voted and had my election poster hanged in his room. It’s funny *laugh*

Today started with the humming of ‘Everyday Kachuusha’

 It’s already the end of June... Half of the year already ended! Time passed so fast with the Tofu Pro Wrestling, Sousenkyo and stuff. About this year’s Sousenkyo, I’m surprisingly feeling refreshed. Throughout the event, although there was stress, I was able to overcome it with a smile, and I really enjoy it.

 The only thing I feel bad about is that HKT couldn’t leave such good results this time. That’s why, in order to make everyone listening more well-informed​ about HKT, I will introduce a member each time! It’s a plan I completely created on my own right now, (laugh). 

Oshi This Girl! (After me) This week’s member: Unjo Hirona

 Today’s oshi-member is, HKT48 4th Generation, Unjo Hirona-chan! She is from Hokkaido, did you know? Her love for Hakata has made her come this far! And between fans, she is known for her similarity with young Mayuyu-san, with her twintail. She is really cute, especially in SHOWROOM. She is called ponkotsu by fans, and she is extremely cute. The moment I found her the cutest is at a theatre stage, she started crying at the last song, and I asked her if anything was wrong, she replied; “I was just nervous”. That innocence struck me right in the heart. Please ni-oshi her, after me!

The fact that you didn’t cry on your speech was amazing. Let’s year, let’s take 1st place!

This year, I made sure I didn’t cry, because fans worked really hard for me, and they didn’t deserve it. But after my speech, I broke into a cry, and I couldn’t hear anything around me, including everyone’s speeches. The thing that brought me back to reality was Mayu-san’s graduation announcement.

Your speech was really great! Especially when you declared to be the first next year.

I made that declaration, didn’t I (bitter laugh) , I really was in the middle of saying or not saying it, but because there were the fans’ feelings pushing me, I decided to say it! I always plan to say big stuff in the Sousenkyo, lol.

Did you have fun in Okinawa?

I did! Before the Sousenkyo, some members toured Okinawa, and went to places like the aquarium, we even had a shooting for the overture for the concert, but I have no idea where that went (laugh). And in Okinawa, I made Sasshi and Yui-san angry for the first time. The Kami 7 members were the last to go back, because we had shooting for Mizugi Surprise, and when we were shopping for souvenirs, I told that I really liked a tart called Sweet Potato Tart:

Sasshi said that she loved them too, especially when heated, and I asked; “Do you heat them?”, making Sasshi reply; “Ha?” And I was scolded a lot from the two of them in the airport, they told me “Don’t talk about Sweet Potato Tart that lightly!” So everyone who is related into the production of Sweet Potato Tart, I’m really sorry. (laugh) Yui-san, Sasshi, I’m sorry. (laugh)

This is my first time writing a letter to you. When I joined the group, as a kenyuusei member, I had many chances of connection with Kojima-san. We’d shoot together for hours for AKB akiyoshi, go to locations together, and I’d always dance as under during A5th’s Renai Kinshi Jourei stages. When I got the DVDs of those theater stages, I realized I was constantly following you around. Yes, it was because I was your under, and there were many mistakes I kept makind and such, but I realized you were showing me the right way of appearing on stage and how to properly behave. For the Heart Gata Virus performance, I wasn’t able to properly say your line in the middle of the song, so in order to do that I’d watch you performing that song many times, listening to that carefully. We’ve never been in the same team, or had the chance to work that much together, that’s why, it made me happy when I was able to do things such as helping you changing quickly of your costume the other day at Music Station, or when you chose me to appear in the theater stage with you. If she did then just send me the link of the whole ANN broadcast and the minute where she starts reading it, it will help me saving some time, you know. 

From the CM, if I remember correctly;Minegishi says that she’s got many memories with Kojima, but the one that maybe is the most impressed in her mind is of when they had shootings together and when they went back to the dressing room Kojima offered to go buying Minegishi some crepes because she knew she liked them. The thing by itself is already kind and caring enough, the thing is that when she came back, the crepe she handed to Minegishi was a 1,800￥ crepe and it had truffle in the inside. Other members make fun of her ‘cause it looks like Minegishi gets the most impressed when people give her very expensive stuff lol Sashihara doesn’t really share any memory she has with Kojima, she instead praises her ‘cause she says that if otakus like her were to watch that Sexy Show thing she brought on stage few performances earlier, they prolly wouldn’t have felt excited at all, but because that sexy show was both sexy and cute and just nice to watch, she realized how fans in the audience were all excited and happy about it and welcomed it good, so she praises Kojima’s setlist choice, I guess. And inventive. 

Kitarie says that she hasn’t had many occasions to be with Kojima, however she remembers of when they both got in the same group when they had shootings for Love Trip and members/group of members went to high school guys and girls and assisted them in their love confessions; however she says that hers and Kojima’s group was the only one that got rejected. Like the guy or the girl who made the confession got rejected while all other members’ groups were all successful. 

Jurina brings back memories from oogoe diamond saying that on that time she was able to make friends with many senpais who eventually she felt like older sisters, and that the thing went on even years after, since lately she found Kojima-san laying on her shoulder saying that she was sleepy, but then retracting saying that Jurina is too skinny. I can’t really get what she says after that ‘cause there’s Sashihara talking on her, but I think that she says that she’s gonna become more “musuclar” so that Kojima won’t feel the “bones under her skin”. 

Eventually there’s Yuki who, as everyone expected, doesn’t have many memories with Kojima (LMAO at Sashihara who is like “why the fuck you and Mayu never have memories or good stuff to share with others about other members?!”), but she says she’s gonna do her best tonight since it’s her graduation concert, and that she’s gonna try to get close to her this much↓

However, everyone else is like, “no - the fuck - that’s scary - you’ll freak her out” etc., so Sashihara says that the only thing to do is for her to hug Kojima from behind, this way↓

but Kitarie is like “Sashi, what the fuck, that is scary too. What’s that, a prowrestling move?!” - Sashihara laughs her ass off at her own suggestion, whereas Kitarie is like “(to Yuki) if you’re gonna do that, don’t hold her too tight or you’re gonna strangle her”. Yuki says she got it and that she’s gonna try her best. 

The whole MC with Yuki is way more funny, though, ‘cause before all of this there’s like Yuki saying that when she and Kojima were announced as WCenter of green flash, they both looked at each other and were like, “that’s good, we’re prolly gonna have more chances of becoming colose, now. More chances of talking”, but then she’s like, “and yet, it’s been nearly two years, and absolutely nothing has changed”. Then Minegishi is like, “I know, I’ve been actually asked by fans to make you two become friends. Like fans have actually come to meet me and asked me to make sure that you two get close” and Sashihara is like, “Who the fuck is that? What kind of fan is that? You guys stop doing that!” and Minegishi is like: “But it’s honestly her (Yuki’s) own fault, ‘cause yesterday, when everyone was performing 10nen Zakura, and Nyan-nyan was in the middle and everyone was crying for the emotion, I went to her (Yuki) and was like, “Yuki, now it’s the time, you can go, just go!” and she!? She rejected me!! She was like “no–I—I really can’t. I really really can’t”. The fuck was that!?” It’s honestly so funny, I love it to death. Especially if you look at the way they talk and their expressions and all, LOL.

Yesterday, i mentioned “Free!” in the MadoP corner! Today I will write about “Free!”!

I encountered it when I was in the upper grades of elementary school! 🎒

When I was in elementary school, under my brother’s influence I came to like “K-ON!”, which led me to do a lot of research on the production company Kyoto Animation!

Then I came across “Free!”...

When I watched the anime out of curiousity, the depiction of water was too beautiful to describe and I was fascinated and absorbed in it...  🏊‍♂️✨

I had already liked works similar to Free! (basically, I have a weakness for coming-of-age stories).

The first season of “Free!” begins with a group of high school students starting a swimming club, but later in the movie “High Speed” the story revolves around their middle school days, and it was very exciting 😢🔥

For those of you who are about to start watching it! There are many seasons, but I think you should watch them all 😎

As I was writing this, I realized...

At the time, I was in elementary school, but their age hasn’t changed much at all!

(In the current season, the main character Nanase Haruka and his friends are in the first year of University, so we’re the same age...)

Holy crap it took me forever to get to this one sry

Day 3 - Sunday

So it was the last day of the con, and the last meet and greet section with the band. Before running over to get my autograph ticket, first we stopped by the merch booth to see if they added anything new because I wanted those luggage tags dammit! Well, no luck on that, but they put out a set of three stickers that they weren’t selling the day before so I grabbed those. Two of the stickers I’d never seen before - one had the band logo in a white outline with a clear center, the other was more like a bumper sticker - so I asked my Japanese gachaman friend if they were new. He said, yes and the white one it particular was very special because in Japan they only give those away as a reward for getting a certain number of stamps on your concert stamp card. So it was very rare to be able to get my hands on those as an overseas fan!

The autograph session that day was in the middle of the exhibit hall, but we were told (repeatedly) no photos. :/ the members came out in casual clothes this time. Hana was wearing a sweet owl shirt. Oreo had a dress that said “HAM” all over it. Koga dressed in typical Koga quality fashion.

Ady was wearing her Music Battler cosplay, and we were standing in line when the members appeared on the opposite end of the stage. I think Mai noticed first and she poked Oreo to get her attention, and when oreo saw, her face lit up and I swear she made a little squeal.

I decided I was gonna try and bend the rules a bit and get them to sign something that wasn’t from the con but was official merchandise, and Koga (who was first in line) totally OK’d it and let me do my bag! They were pretty lax about it, Todd got his Hana drumsticks signed by everyone and the gachaman brought all of the new member t-shirts from the current tour and had them sign them.

I was wearing Nenne’s member shirt that day, and Koga noticed immediately and very sincerely thanked me for worrying about her.

Hana was next. As she signed my bag, she said, “I saw the book you gave us. I’m really grateful.” She said this with so much serious in  seriousness and again, sincerity. I saw that Koga was also making eye contact with me during this, and nodding along to what Hana was saying. I told Hana I was happy, and that’s when she said “I almost cried,” and made the little crying motion under her eyes with her hands. I know almost cried at that precise moment right in front of her. she took my hand again--that day she was doing the “one hand business deal handshake” with everyone, but again she took her time with me and gave a little squeeze, and she had a different little smile this time, it felt more like heartfelt gratitude than the coy fishing from the day before.

I’m like... crying as I think about this even now. It’s one thing to meet your favorites, to support them in person, to thank them personally for being part of your life. I would have been happy just with that. But what I never expected at all was for it to go the other way around. To make an impression on them they won’t forget. To receive their gratitude. To make that kind of heartfelt, reciprocal connection with somebody irrespective of language and distance. To know that all the hard work I’ve put in the past two years, learning about them, supporting them, and sharing my love for them to others, all of that mattered to them.

Tomo-zo was next... I always draw a blank on what to say to her lol. So I asked what the members were going to do that day after the signing. She looked around at the others and was like “ehh... what are we doing today?” Mai and Oreo interjected with “eating!” in both English and Japanese. Lol. Then Mai jumped in--”oh! We had Whataburger!!!” I asked her how she liked it and she gave me the biggest “oishii” I have ever heard. Never change, Mai-chan.

Oreo remarked about my bag--”how did you get this?” and i told her I buy a lot of things from Japan, also I told  her I was friends with Jou and asked if she remembered him. She did:) and I told her to please come back, and with the same sincerity as Koga and Hana had, she bowed a tiny bit in her seat and said, “we definitely will.” It was very un-Oreo-like how solemnly she said this. She waved at me as I left the stage :)

There was an area with chairs in front of the stage, so I sat watching everyone eslse take that turn and about that moment all the emotions I referred to above hit me, and that’s when I finally stared crying. A lot. It was kind of a mess.

After they finished the signing, Oreo beckoned Ady over from afar to take pictures with her! The rest of us awkwardly followed behind a few hundred feet to where they took her to take photos. Then after that, we watched from afar as Gacha went and played on this big bounce house obstacle course where two people race up to the top and then go down a slide. Oreo faceplanted at least once. I wonder if you can guess who the ultimate winner was?

The next time we saw them was several hours later at the closing ceremony. Koga spoke on behalf of the group, and besides all the generic thank you for coming stuff, she talked about how happy she was to meet the fans from overseas and then she mentioned the fanbook and how happy they were to receive everybody’s messages. I cried again. rip

Finally, we loitered outside of the ballroom for a few minutes hoping to meet up with Todd, but instead we intercepted Gacha on their way out of the venue and managed to thank them one last time and wave them off. They descended the escalators, and from our balcony we watched them ride off into the sunset. I cried more.

So, yeah, that was the greatest weekend of my life. I can’t imagine a single way it could have gone better, and I’m just so grateful I was able to be a part of it. Yes, my ultimate goal is to see them in Japan, but even when I do, it’ll never be an experience like this, where I had so many distinct opportunities to interact with them. At a Japanese show they maybe would have noticed me and it would have been like, oh, there’s a foreign girl here, cool. But because of AM I know they‘ll remember me - the Hana-oshi girl who was wearing the Ravers, who was in the front row and knew all the words and choreography, who snapped the rubber band at Oreo, who sent warm wishes to Nenne, who gave them a book full of the international fans’ feelings, and yes, who cried a lot. I don’t think anything could have replaced this experience.

I’m going to make it to Japan, but also, they’re going to make it back here. And I’ll be there no matter what. And I hope a lot more of you guys can join me next time. :)

Tomorrow is "Kobushi Factory Live 2020 ~The Final Ring!~" So I did make up in the image of Kobushi Factory

It's like this~

And now, I'll explain it

(This time, it was kind of difficult to get the eyeliner colour in the drawing, so please be aware that that it looks like it's floating because it was drawn with a pen to cast a shadow)

Eye make up

* Upper eyelid Inner corner -> About two thirds of it is a gold beige type of pearly eyeshadow, strong Toward the eyes, I used a gradation of matte light pink and coral types of shadow, The magnolia flower white->pink hradation was to be aware of the petals of it

I wanted to make the impression of my eyelids bright, So I put a light pink with glitter shadow on my upper eyelid, above the black part of my eye, and I used the same colour along the tear line <3 :) <3

I used a blackbrown gel pencil along the inline, And at my splash line, I used a white liquid liner the colour of the flower!!

On my lower eyelids, and near the eyes, I used a dark pink-brown eyeshadow and for the lower line, I want to express the strong and sharp power of Kobushi Factory...... I thought, so I considered it :O

Since the eyeshadow is modest and detailed, the mascara is thin, long and firm

Lips

Toward the inside of my lips, I did a gradation from light pink->pink red! I was also aware of the pretty gradation of the petals with this

Others

I used a lavender and green foundation, and the highlighters are sharper than usual, So it gives me a sense of transparency......! The tone is up quite more than usual ** Itès white

The blush is a similar colour to what I used on the upper eyelids, near the eye and the outside part of the lipstick (the base), I fluffed up a light pink on it <3 <3

The magnolia flower and Kobushi Factory themselves, I did my best to create an atmosphere where that grace and strength can coexist......! *

For Kobushi Factory oshi makeup, And those who will be watching "Kobushi Factory Live 2020 ~The Final Ring!~" tomorrow, From now on too, I'll always, always continue to oshi them!!!! I want people who think that to try to challenge themselves......! I recommend putting your favourite member's colour where the white eyeliner is! *****

We couldn't hold concerts and live shows as we planned, It's not anyone's fault, and there isn't anything that we can do about it, there's no motivation with the current situation, there's lots of sad feelings like that, It would be good to be able to welcome tomorrow with feelings as bright as possible in the middle of this...... And, I wonder if there's anything I can do for people who have those same feelings...... I thought about it T_T "Make up" is something that I can give to you outside of performances, so this time, I tried to do makeup with the concept of Kobushi Factory!!!!

I'm sad, I'm frustrated, these days will continue but, I hope everyone can spend their time with a smile, And from now on, I want to keep thinking like that ** Look forward to it, okay!
