Your ears immediately perked up when the nurse informed you. The hand that was holding the ice pack on your head fell on your lap. Your eyes searched for him and there he stood, in his lfc hoodie a red bull cap on his head wearing a worried look on his face.

“Baby.” he whispered, rushing towards to where you’re sitting on top of the bed and settling between your thighs.

“Hey.” you said, winching a bit when you try to move your head and hug him.

Trent rested his hand on your arm, holding you in place “Hey, slow down, it’s okay.” he immediately took the ice pack from your hand and placing it back on your forehead where a bruise is already forming. “What happened?” he asked, hand protectively setting on your hip.

“I fell and hit my head a little.” you shrugged, a little laugh escaping your lips. “I wanted to grab those fancy plates at the upper shelf because you’re mom is coming this weekend. It was a little funny cause I knew that I was gonna fell but then I wanted to defy gravity like all those characters in movies so-“

Trent let out a deep breath and shook his head, “Baby.” an adoring smile tugging up on his lips. “You should really be more careful. You’re lucky it’s not serious.” he scolded, pinching your nose, making you scrunch up your face.

He lifted the ice pack on your forehead and his smile quickly dropped when he peaked at your bruise. You look up at him, eyes softening when you saw how worried he was.

“It’s not even that bad.” you mumbled as a pout formed on your lips. Guilt washing over you when you realised he rushed from a long match. “Sorry I made you rush here. You must be exhausted.”

“It’s okay babe.” he said, his unoccupied hand moving to cup your face, before leaving a peck in your nose. “Just glad you’re okay.”

You hummed, body relaxing in his hold. A sudden thought cross your mind and you can’t help but let it out, “Did you shower?”

Trent already know where you’re going with this, “Nah, it’s okay though. I prefer showering at home.”

“No wonder you stink.” There it is.

“Hey!” he playfully scoffed, “Is this what I get for being your knight and shining armour?”

You giggled at his dramatic attitude, the sound pulling on Trent’s heartstrings. “I love you though.”

“Love you too.” he whispered.

“Stinky boy.” you added, making Trent roll his eyes.

“I’m leaving.”

“Wait, I’m joking!”

I’m sad that Luis still dies because it feels like they gave us so much new stuff about his character that’s kinda wasted (though this adds to the tragedy of it I suppose) but having his death be considered an honourable one and hearing Leon tell him “You were a fine knight, Don Quixote” just breaks my heart in a good way, I’m so happy they made Luis a legitimate character that we can care about and root for and that Leon caring about him feels genuine this time.

I love how when we are first introduced to Vetinari, he's this all-powerful tyrant with spies everywhere, twenty steps ahead of everyone else, of whom people aren't even sure is human and then he proceeds to spend pretty much 90% of his time in the Watch books and The Truth being a damsel in distress (often with Vimes co-starring as the knight in shining armour) and is still seen as this all-powerful tyrant. Vimes hears someone call Vetinari unkillable and has to stop himself from snorting.

how would dn be if misa misa was light's celebrity crush?

Super hard for me to picture this, hahaha. But I THINK that Light would stop having a crush on Misa once she kinda started stalking him, maybe? At least in the manga. I think the way she approached him was a huge red flag and a turn-off for Light. He gets uncomfortable when people are that forward in a super bold way that makes a ton of overly friendly assumptions with him. I think he honestly could've been much warmer to and better friends with Misa in canon if she had been a little less desperate and pushy with the way she introduced herself to him.

here’s my theory: ocean originally started the choir for constance

i will elaborate

i think that constance has always loved performing and the performing arts: acting, singing, dancing. outside the mind-control death scenario and the choir, we don’t really see two of those. however, in the 2016 production, she plays the part of mary in the school’s nativity play (this is when noel breaks into waiting for godot). she tries to steer it back on track while staying in character, and while this could be her “being a good girl” in part, i think it’s also her wanting to stay in the role. this is something she cares about and, while she’s don’t stupid, this matters to her more than school.

additionally, i think the way that sugar cloud is staged like a concert (particularly in the part where the choir sings “i used to think that life was just a jawbreaker” and she has that belty ad-lib) also adds to this idea of a desire to perform. plus her presenting the song the choir performs before each intro number, rather than ocean. sure, ocean presents the choir, but constance introduces the song itself.

so, from this, i believe that constance has an interest in the performing arts. as a result, i like to think that ocean thought “two birds, one stone” in making a club that could make her friend happy and having something to put on college applications (presuming canadian college apps are the same as those from the us). so, she starts up the st cassian’s chamber choir and upop (from later editions of the show).

but, even with the best intentions, ocean starts to overshadow constance. part of it is accidental, it isn’t her fault that most satb arrangements are written to highlight the soprano. she only wanted to be a leader, and constance just wanted to be involved. ocean, mostly unintentionally, starts to belittle constance’s ideas.

i think this might be why they have such a fractured relationship during the show. is it possible that a lot of little things created tension between them in the “you punched me in the fricking boob” scene? definitely. however, i think it’s possible that they had a fight on the day of the fall fair. ocean paraded around the victory she lead them to, kept talking about how she was the queen of the choir. and while constance didn’t confront her, she was a lot more… distant. maybe even a little snide. ocean could hear that something was a little off with her, but she couldn’t place what, and she definitely didn’t think it wasn’t her fault. constance still sat next to her on the cyclone, ocean doing another thing for constance.

and then they died. both blaming the other for their misfortune. not knowing what was really going on in the other’s brain. but this story has a happy ending, or maybe it’s bittersweet. you’ve seen the show, you know how it goes. there is no other way this story could end.

u getting inspired by Ed sheeran gave me an idea, what if for a milestone on here rihjt you made a playlist or u abd some moots made a playlist that could very easily be tailored into a fic. then like you had last time, with the cafe ordering thing people request a number (on this playlist, but they don't know what's on the playlist) and who they'd prefer this fic or blurb to be about.

casuw I feel like it's 2 birds with 1 stone, you don't need to put as much energy and planning (which can be exhausting icl) and can more so rivht around an already made idea (the song) while also still writing and giving back for a milestone or special event!
