No one could have been prouder of Yuri's exhibit than Viktor was of Yuri that day. The young man had managed to do something daring and brave - that was likely going to cause Yakov a heart attack - but still! It was the kind of thing that Viktor had secretly wished he could do, but had never been brave enough; and now, he was too old. He was glad though, that Yuri wasn't going to let anyone stop him from being himself.

I’ve gone on and on about how Leo wants to be who Splinter finds is the ideal person (which just so happens to be Splinter’s ideal version of himself) but I have yet to really touch upon how Donnie is the one who most directly parallels Splinter himself to an honestly shocking degree, Raph’s taking from Splinter’s teachings and parenting has resulted in an unhealthy mixup in the different dynamics of a family versus a team, and Mikey is the one who is simultaneously the most focused on family and the most intrinsically himself which both leads to his better grasp of mystics and honestly what just might be the healthiest dynamic with Splinter.

People who side with Triton and criticize Ariel for rebelling against him miss the whole point of the story. I don't know what it is about Ariel in particular that many people online look for every reason to hate on her and justify everything that happened to her.

Every day I long for post-royal spin-offs for the opportunity to allow both Goro and Sumire to actually interact with the others without falsities or time-restricted threats preventing them from having much needed conversations and conflicts. I still wish we had at least gotten a second cafe scene with the Royal Trio where they could talk about how they actually feel about things like change and helping others. To see Goro try and brush it all off and maybe have Sumire call him out on it because his actions wouldn’t match his words, or even Sumire having to reevaluate her own answer since she was no longer under the influence of trying to be Kasumi and what it means if she still agrees with how she felt back then. Also I still love the potential humor with them ordering iced drinks in the winter this time while Akira has his hot beverage and him being able to call them both out for this. Love these funky little weirdos.
#I think about the P3 cast so much and how much I love that they can fight and argue and hurt each other#and their conflict resolution feels pretty organic over the whole course of the game.#I think Akechi feels very reminiscent to that cast because he isn’t Joker’s yes-man like the rest#And we don’t know Sumire enough to really say but from her backstory and stuff I think she could also potentially fit that.#Because we know that Kasumi’s kindness infuriated her and while she’s definitely on the healing path#just from her brief conversation with Kasumi before her death I personally could see the potential for her depression to make her lash out.#Not in a horrible mean way but like when you hate yourself that much you get pretty unresponsive to praise or compliments#it all feels fake and frustrating and hard to listen to#and I don’t think Sumire’s depression is an aspect that should just be written away just because she awakened and faced reality#Would love to see her exhibit those symptoms even the less palatable ones like the P3 cast was allowed to do.#ANYWAY all this to say I love the Answer. I love Yukari. I love characters who mess up and make it everyone’s problem#healing is messy and absolutely not linear#you still deserve to have people around you

i'm really fucking done with entitled ass men today
#exhibit a: man sitting next to me on my first train this morning who i thought was just manspreading and i kept moving up#until I realised he was rubbing his thigh against mine on purpose#exhibit b: smiled at a man's dog. man looked me up and down and called me a sexy girl and then laughed when I started walking faster#exhibit c: waiting for friend outside restaurant reading about north korean defectors as you do#guy gets in my face asking my name and complimenting me and tbf he did actually apologise and back off when he saw I was uncomfortable#and like. I try not to complain about this shit too much.#but all this happened in the space of ONE DAY#during eight hours of which I did not leave my place of work#it's not a compliment#it's scary and I still don't know how to handle it#and like I can laugh it off a lot of the time but I feel really angry about exhibit a tonight especially#on the plus side I had a lovely meal with an old friend#and my boss said nice things to me that made me cry but like happy cry#but yeah#the conversation around street harassment feels quiet at the moment#I'm tired of hearing that it doesn't happen anymore#it's still relentless
