summary: you're exhausted. luckily, only comfort awaits you as you come home.

a/n: i have written too much and the fic hasn't even started yet. anyslays just had a bath just drank tea feeling soft time for writing. also this is lightly based on the lyrics of "goodnight, dear" by youngk bc yes

opening the front door of your home with a click was always a satisfying feeling, but especially today. the sheer amount of work and deadlines on your back at the moment would be enough to send anyone spiralling, so can you really be blamed for the aching in your bones, your dizzy head, or your eyes' constant will to close? there is nothing more on your mind than slipping under the covers of your bed and shutting your eyes until the weariness fades away...

entering the hallway, and shutting the front door behind you, you are immediately greeted by the scent of bamboo shoot soup wafting at you from the kitchen, an immediate giveaway of your lovers presence.

after a moment, you hear a lid being placed on a pot, and footsteps approaching you.

"my love? are you well?"

the soft baritone of zhongli's voice was exactly what you needed to hear right now. he placed a hand upon your cheek, and a gentle kiss on your forehead, before helping you remove your jacket, slowly sliding it off your shoulders. after hanging it on the rack he turned you to face him, and you could not evade the worried look on his face.

"did something happen? are you sick? you must rest now."

"'m fine, li', just-" you paused, trying to think of a word, trying to ignore the fact that the room was spinning, and trying to ignore the fact that your legs feel weak beneath you. "tired, is all".

in announcing this, you felt your legs begin to give out, luckily your beloved archon was there to catch you, wrapping one arm around your waist, picking you up effortlessly and carrying you to your shared room.

he placed you down gently on the bed, which was unbelievably comfortable, especially now, in your state of weakness. the sheets were made by the most skilled textile workers in all of liyue, the nation your lover prided himself on.

"darling, who worked you to this point? is there someone who must be taught a lesson? perhaps a few flying rocks would do the trick?"

you let out a weak laugh at his words

"no, it is mostly my problem for taking such a workload on, please don't worry about me."

"you're lucky i love you, or else i would not hesitate. i am still held under the impression that many problems can be solved by flying rocks"

you smile lightly, and whilst trying to form an adequate response to your lovers attempt at comedy, your train of thought is interrupted by a brief removal of the hair from your eyes, and a gentle kiss pressed to your lips.

"wait here my dear"

placing another gentle peck upon your lips, your beloved leaves the room, presumably in order to ensure his soup hasn't bubbled over the entire kitchen by this point.

he returns, much to your surprise, in his half dragon form. his hair has been removed from its usual ponytail, and now flows down his bare back. the horns on the top of his head glow with gold in the dim light of the sunset coming through the bedroom window, and his tail presents itself in its own glory, gracefully moving behind the ex-archon.

"i figured you may feel more comfortable if i am in this state. may i lay beside you?"

it was hardly the first time you had seen zhongli look like this, but it never ceased to amaze you. for someone who did not care about others perception of him whatsoever, he truly always managed to look ethereal.

you nodded your head to indicate for him to lay down next to you which he did immediately. although he disguised it as wanting you to "feel more comfortable", the true reason that he presented himself in this form was because he felt he would be able to take better care of you like this, to further protect you from any threats of the outside world.

he manoeuvred himself next to you, so that he was facing you as you lay on your side. he pulled you closer to him before rolling onto his back and pulling you onto his chest, so that your head was buried in his neck, breathing in his scent of slightly burnt caramel and vanilla. his strong arms wrapped themselves around your form, as did his tail.

"my dear"

"mm"

"you must promise to never let yourself get to this state again."

"mhm"

"now." he brought his pinky finger to yours and wrapped it around it, which was something he had seen the mortals of liyue do whilst making a promise.

you couldn't help but laugh at his blissful unawareness, and tightened your pinky around his.

"promise"

"good."

you can hear his heart beating, and his light breathing threatens to lull you into a slumber incomparable to any other.

"li'?"

"yes my dear? is everything alright? do you need anything?"

"can i touch your hair?"

this struck the archon as quite the puzzling request. why on earth would you want to touch his hair?

"if you so wish, my lily, just be gentle"

you let out a content smile, moving your hand to make contact with his brown locks, and pressing a light kiss on the side of his neck as a sign of your gratitude.

despite how lovely this was, it felt oddly silent to you.

"li'?"

"hm?"

"will you talk me to sleep? i missed you"

"of course dear. shall i tell you the story of the time streetward rambler brought that absurd gift to cloud retainer? perhaps i have already told that one, hm. what about the time i had xiao run an errand to mondstadt and- ah."

already, you had drifted off into a slumber, courtesy of the age old words of your beloved.

he wrapped his tail around you ever so slightly tighter than before, pressed a kiss to the crown of your head and sighed in content at the sight of his exhausted partner getting some sleep at last.

"goodnight, dear"

With your hand on his knees the two of you sang to your hearts content along the song that played, a random spotify playlist of the many you had made, the sound of YoungK's voice playing through the speakers.

It was all going well with the trip, he had just finished the promotions for "Hot" and was preparing for his "Be the sun tour" when he told you that he had been given a week of rest before returning for the preparations for the world tour, and upon telling you he scheduled for a house near the beach for you two to get away for the week without the members.

You knew you were, by now, pushing your luck, acting like you like him to treat you, He liked it, he liked to put you putty in his hands and now you had the upper hand in it, until you didn't... because just a few seconds after, the car came to an all stop and you stopped all actions.

"What's wro-?" Before you could finish, he grabs you by the jaw forcefully pulling your face close to his and aggressively kisses you, lips madly moving against eachother as both of you let out moans, your hands moving from his pants to the back of his head, gripping his hair to which he groans, the other grabbing at his white shirt.

You tried deepening the kiss, hand gripping his hair tighter, a moan passing from his lips to yours, his own hair roaming your body, grabbing at every curve and asset, before settling on your leg. grip tight and almost pulling it over his lap.

Your boyfriend, confused gives you a questioning look as he watches the sparkle in your eyes.

yes ofc ! the one thing that comes to mind is a long time ago (like maybe 5ish years) i remember being sad that seungkwan (one of my svt biases at the time) had lost some of his cheek fat/his soft jaw and it hit me out of nowhere that if i could love that feature on someone else why couldn't i love it a little bit on myself ? and it really changed my perspective and ive been okay with my softer jaw ever since :')

not an ask but want to love you by youngk is the best song ever and nobody talks about it. the "NEANE JEONBUREULDAAAA" in the second chorus makes me levitate every time he sounds sooooo good.

omg anon.............i could talk about eternal as an album all day i truly think it's one of my favorite pieces of music EVER.....his voice is so angelic on that song, i love getting to hear his higher register, he slips into it SO flawlessly. the piano introduction, the softness in the way he starts the song (i love the way the last 3 songs slip into being so calming and relaxing without being boring). the chorus having the backing vocals on the "want to love you"s and slight music swell specifically just adds SO much richness to it especially when the rest of the song is so simple and stripped back.....ugh that BRIDGE.......when the music TRULY picks up with that small bit of percussion like the end of an epic.......also the lyrics just "i'm gonna love you more than you love me" being the ending........ugh and then the way it just fades into come as you are next.....sorry he is The Male Musician of All Time to me

A woman who loves to wander—at least, that was the way Shiera perceives herself. Countless days basking among strangers, relishing the view while the wind blew her hair. She has never come home, although she has one building she owns by her sweat and tears.

All lingers in her mind at once, but it was in the past.

“I am home, sweetheart!”

The door cackled as her hand pushed it close. In the next second, her hands are busy untying her heels. A sound of footsteps was heard nearby, approaching her with a pair of bright eyes and a warm smile.

It tickled her laughs, Brian appeared with an apron surrounding his waist. “I wonder what did you this time.. but I am expecting a tasty dinner served,” she laughed.

Brian nodded, “Well if only my sweetheart don't mind to wait for 5 more minutes?”

Shiera reached him and entangled her arms around his neck while stealing soft pecks on his lips. “I would rather help you there, give me that 5 minutes to change, okay?” Her voice mumbled gently, answered by a soft yet deep peck from Brian in return.

And there she is, safe and secure in a place they called home. She once went anywhere but home, yet now she doesn't want to go anywhere but home.

She always wanted to escape, and Brian is her escape now. From the cruelty of the world, from all of the layers of misery.

She knows she can rely on him, and rest her heavy head on him. She knows he will delightfully welcome her with a warm, gentle touch.

“So stay with me, don't go anywhere, will you?”

That was the moment her little, exhilarated nods changed her life.

And she is beyond grateful, for his presence and everything about him.

Even now, nothing has changed ever since.

Their love remains the same, it grows.

Park Sungjin as Your Boyfriend

how you guys meet

both of you met through an acquaintance.

they setting up you two in a double date

so one day, your best friend decides to go on a double date

you didn’t deny or whining much about it

because you think it’s just gonna be a one time thingy

also you felt like it’s time for you to meet new people too??

so there’s no harm, right???

like, meeting up and have a good time together??

so, the day came

you suddenly felt nervous when you saw sungjin coming through the cafe’s door

looking like a fine man he is

also the aura sungjin radiates

like so cool and a man who knows he’s a good looking one??

throughout the double date

your best friend and her boyfriend can’t stop teasing out hell you two

saying you two looks good together???

and sungjin is so calm with the teasing

and you just wanna fly out of the damn cafe now.

after the date end, sungjin being the gentleman he is,

offers to walk you home??

inside, you felt like going to burst

because damn boy you got my heart flutters for a sec

for a moment, you wants to turn down his opportunity

but he insists

so yeah, he walk you home

luckily there’s no awkward silences

just a pure comfortable silences and casual conversation between both of you

“so you how long do play guitar?”

“not too long, about 3 months ago?”

“wow, you’re cool. I always find people playing with guitars are so amazing. I wish I knew how to play guitar too”

“I could teach you next time if you want”

“W-What?”

“I mean if you want to. But, if you don’t wan-”

“No! I would love to”

With that, sungjin and you keep on meeting with each other

when he asked you to be his girlfriend

now that both of you are close with each other

and comfortable too during couple of month being friends

now he felt butterflies whenever he’s with you

sungjin would feel happy if you’re happy

he just loves watching you being his happy pills

like his day aren’t gonna complete if he didn’t hear your laugh for a day

so, he decides to take your relationship into another phase

omg this boy gonna be nervous as hell!!!

he gonna plan this a week ahead

having a little picnic at han river

of course prepared by sungjin

as you silently enjoying the evening view of the han river

sungjin seems uneasy at his place

he gets fidgety as time passed

his sudden question had your full attention

“hmm? what’s it?”

his eyes are wandering around but never met your eyes

it’s makes you curious

“sungjin, is there something happen?”

“ah nothing! it just—wow, how should I tell you this?”

“why? why?”

your curious eyes finds his gazes

“The thing is, I like you, like a lot. I feels so happy whenever I’m with you. I just loves how you squeals when you find butterfly or cats on the road side, it just looks cute and I really like you.”

while he confessing, you can’t help but to stare at him and grins never left your face

you just lets out a giggle fits right after he confess

leaving him confuse

“don’t laugh! it’s embarrassing me, you know!”

“alright alright! it just...I thought...I’m the only one felt that”

you sheepishly said

sungjin took a few seconds to understand your words

“wait, you like me too?”

“of course! oMG IT TOOK YOU FOREVER TO CONFESS TO ME LIKE I BEEN WAITING SINCE FOREVER!!”

“then, will you be my girlfriend?”

“if being your girlfriend includes you singing and playing guitar then yES!”

first kiss with him

as we know, sungjin isn’t quite touchy right

but with you, he slowly open up about pda

so your first kiss take a quite sometimes to happen

like one to two months after you guys officially date

because sungjin literally nervous to make it happen!!

but you can’t blame him though!!

he’s so cute when he looks flustered

so when he and his band finally make a debut at a jazz club downtown

obviously you would come and giving the full support!!

right before he starts performing

you come to the backstage

he looks so nervous

pacing back and forth

and maybe jumps a little to shake off some of his nervousness

“sungjin, baby, come here” you called him, pulling him closer

you took his hands, clasped together with yours

“hey, look at me. you got this! you can do it, love”

sungjin looks dearly into your eyes

as he brought up his hands onto your jawline

caressing it ever softly

“i know i’m gonna rock the stage, it just...i’ve been thinking about something”

“what is it?”

sungjin took a few moments before deciding whether if it is a good time or not

but he just goes with his intuition

“can i kiss you?”

upon hearing his request, your lips can’t help but to curve into a small smiles.

“go ahead, if that makes you calm down”

with your permission

sungjin cupped your face into his palm

and soon

you could felt his soft and warm lips against yours

just when you want to deepen your kiss

“okay lovebirds, sungjin need to get on stage in 3 minutes”

jae interrupts

making you burst into giggles fit

as sungjin hides his face into your neck

feeling embarrassed by his band member

fights with him <//3

small fights with sungjin would usually occurs

and both of you would tried to avoid any big fights happened

however whenever a fight arise, most of the time comes from you

sungjin always keep his composure calm and tries not to burst at you

but you’re the stubborn one in the relationship

but he will tries to understand where you’re coming from

and talked it out

like he won’t walked away from you

but more like giving you space to think

and whenever you finally arrange your thoughts

you would voluntary comes to him

“i’m sorry :(( i miss your hugs :((”

you hugged him after explaining yourself and saying sorry for coming home late and not informing him earlier

making the boy dead worried

and being the softest and caring boyfriend he is

of course he would forgive you

“aigo! you should’ve tell me at the first place!”

sungjin would playfully flicked your forehead as a punishment

because boy he can’t stay mad girlfriend any longer

as conclusion

sungjin is totally whipped for his girlfriend

and would be totally protective over you
