We're everywhere.
Therians and alterhumans are everywhere.
You walk past us in the park, the store, you drive past us, you talk to us, you go to school with us, you work with us.
And although it may not be evident, we are here.
We will always be here.
It's not a trend, it's a way of life. Therianthropy is not a choice, it's something you're born with. For some people, it takes them longer to discover that they're therians.
God, for all you know you could've gone to a McDonald's drive thru and talked to a German shepherd about how you wanted your Big Mac cooked. About how you want your fries with no salt. Your coke with no ice.
For all you know, your college professor could be a grizzly bear teaching you about ancient Roman history. The glee on his face as he explains the Roman empire.
For all you know, your doctor could be a stag, telling you that you need to cut back on the fatty foods; your cholesterol is too high. She tells you that you need to eat more salads and salmon.
We are everywhere.
We are all around you.
We are never leaving.
So, the next time you look around, just remember: we are your neighbors. We are part of the world, just like you.

Wound Care
Ok so, take this with a BIG grain of salt, because I may be a medical doctor BUT you need to know how much wound care training we get in medical school: none. Zip. Zilch. There may be medical schools where you do, but mine wasn't a bozo factory and there was NO wound care training. Everything I know I learned from one of several sources: an intensive 2-day wound care course I did in residency (highly recommend), the local Home Health wound care nurse (highly recommend), a completely batshit insane old white male doctor who started our learning sessions by yelling Vietnam War stories at me (do not recommend), a hospital wound care nurse (highly recommend), and experience (oh god do not recommend).
The first thing you need to know is that wound healing varies dramatically across the course of a lifespan. Kids? Kids will heal. If they don't, get their ass to a pediatrician because there's something genetic going on. Young adults will heal. Middle-aged adults will heal. You know who doesn't heal for shit? The elderly, and people with severe illnesses, and people with uncontrolled type II diabetes.
Your body needs several things in order to heal. It needs macronutrients, so you need to be able to EAT protein, fat, and carbs. If you are on total parenteral nutrition, aka TPN, aka IV nutrition, you are going to be worse at healing. If you are starving yourself, you are going to be worse at healing. If your body is desperately funneling all the calories you take in to surviving your COPD or cancer, you are going to be worse at healing.
It also needs micronutrients. If your diet sucks, you won't heal. Take a multivitamin once in a while.
There are two CRITICAL skin components to healing: collagen and elastin. Guess what we stop making as we age. Promoting collagen isn't just good for "anti-aging," it's good for NOT ripping your skin apart. Taking oral collagen is probably bullshit because your body is going to have to disassemble it to get it across the intestinal membranes to absorb, but it's also harmless, and if your diet REALLY sucks, who knows. Give it a try. Collagen is made of amino acids; think protein.
Another absolutely crucial component is blood flow. As people age, they start to develop cholesterol plaques lining arteries that eventually pick up calcium deposits. This makes blood vessels less elastic, which is a problem, but eventually also blocks them off, which is a much bigger problem. If someone has the major blood flow to their feet decreased by 90% by arterial stenosis, they are not going to heal for shit AND their foot's gonna hurt.
One component of blood flow I hadn't thought about before going into medicine is fluid retention. The way your body works, blood exits the heart at a very high velocity, but slows to a crawl by the time it gets into capillaries, the smallest blood vessels in the body. Water is a very small molecule and can leave the blood vessel, especially if there aren't big, negatively-charged molecules like proteins like albumin in the blood vessels to hold the water there. And we're built for this--some water is supposed to leak out of our blood vessels when it gets to real little vessels. It gets taken back up by the lymphatic system and eventually dumped back into the bloodstream at the inferior vena cava. But if you aren't making albumin--for instance, in liver failure--you may leak a LOT of fluid into the tissue, so much that your legs get swollen, tight, the skin feeling woody and strange. This isn't fixable by drainage because the fluid is everywhere, not in a single pocket we can drain. And because it puts so much pressure on the tissues of the skin, it often results in ulcers. Congestive heart failure, liver failure, kidney failure--these are all common causes of severe edema, aka swelling due to fluid in the tissues. And they're a real bitch when it comes to wound care, because we have such limited resources for getting the fluid back out, which is a necessary first step to healing.
Pressure is another common cause of wounds. Pressure forces blood out of those little capillaries, so you starve the cells normally fed by those capillaries, and they die. It's called pressure necrosis. Very sick people who can't turn themselves over--people in the ICU, people in nursing homes--are especially prone to these wounds, as are people with limited sensation; pressure wounds are common in wheelchair users who have lost some feeling in the parts of their bodies that rub against those surfaces, or diabetics who don't notice a rock in their shoe.
So, if you're trying to treat wounds, the questions to ask are these:
Why did this wound happen?
-Was it pressure? If it's pressure, you have to offload the source of the pressure or else that wound will not heal. End of story. You can put the tears of a unicorn on that thing, if you don't offload the pressure it won't heal.
-Was it fluid? If it's fluid, you have get the fluid out of the issues or else it won't heal. You can sometimes do that with diuretics, medications that cause the body to dump water through the kidneys, but that's always threading a needle because you have to get someone to a state where they still have juuuuust enough fluid inside their blood vessels to keep their organs happy, while maintaining a very slight state of dehydration so the blood vessels suck water back in from the tissues. You can use compression stockings to squeeze fluid back into the vessels, but if they have arterial insufficiency and not just venous insufficiency, you can accidentally then cause pressure injury. The safest option is using gravity: prop the feet up above the level of the heart, wherever the heart is at, at that moment, and gravity will pull fluid back down out of the legs. Super boring though. Patients hate it. Not as much as they hate compression stockings.
-Was it a skin tear because the skin is very fragile? This is extremely common in the elderly, because they're not making collagen and elastin, necessary to repairing skin. If this is the case, make sure they're actually getting enough nutrition--as people get into their 80s and 90s, their appetites often change and diminish, especially if they're struggling with dementia. And think about just wrapping them in bubble wrap. Remove things with sharp edges from their environments. I have seen the WORST skin tears from solid wood or metal furniture with sharp edges. Get rid of throw rugs and other tripping hazards. I had somebody last week who tried to a clear a baby gate and damn near destroyed their artificial hip.
The next critical question: why isn't it healing?
-Are you getting enough nutrients? Both macro and micro?
-Are you elderly?
-Are you ill?
-Do you have a genetic disorder of collagen formation?
Fix why it's not healing and almost anything will heal. If you're diabetic, find a medication regimen that improves your sugars and stick to it. If you're anorexic, get treatment for your eating disorder. If you have congestive heart failure, work with your doctor on your fluid balance. Wear the damn pressure stockings. Prop up your feet.
If, after those two unskippable questions are done, you want to do something to the wound--apply a dressing, do a treatment--that's a whole other kettle of fish. I'll write that later. The dryer just sang me its little song and I need to put away the laundry.

: ̗̀➛𝚂𝚞𝚖𝚖𝚊𝚛𝚢: On the final night of an AMMO investigation their bust is blown up by an unexpected party.
: ̗̀➛𝙰𝙽: Hey y'all! This is my first time writing in a while, so it hope it doesn't suck lmao. Let me know if you guys are interested in this series cause I got lots more to come!
Tumblr media
AMMO's newest addition to the team was Armando Aretas. That's right, the same Armando Aretas that had been a convicted drug dealer, cop killer, and fugitive.
It took some serious string pulling but Rita and Judy managed to get Armando amnesty due to his help with bringing down Lockwood and McGrath. It took a while, but they managed to get it done. In exchange, he needed to work with Miami PD.
Armando was a dangerous man, that was true enough, but he was also an asset. Better to have him on your team than to be against him. Plus, it helped everyone keep an eye on him. He hadn't quite earned the trust of those in his new life.
There was a part of him that didn't care. He'd lived this long without the approval or validation of others, so what was different? Then there was a part of him that wanted to put that behind him. His previous life was a tiresome one.
Tumblr media
AMMO had been steaking out a night club for about a week. They'd finally gathered enough proof for them to carry out their raid. Tonight was the night, they just needed to get the green light from their UC.
"Yo, Mike. You think we could stop at that hot dog shack on the corner after this?" Marcus attempted to whisper but the small space in the truck provided no privacy. "Hell no, Marcus. Teresa just said your cholesterol was sky high and you gained about three pounds this month."
"Uh.., now, see. Did you have to put my business out there like that, Mike?" Armando shook his head. His father and surrogate uncle were admittedly the best part of his new life, even if they were annoying. "Will you two shut up?" He muttered.
Kelly and Dorn's smirks of amusement always seemed to be present whenever they were with the three men. "Hey hey hey. What's happening?"
Armando's eyes locked on the commotion breaking out on the scene. The place was getting swarmed. Their UC hadn't sent the signal so it sure as shit wasn't them. A woman appeared on screen gun drawn and shouting for everybody to get down. "Who the fuck is that?"
Tumblr media
After the raid ended, AMMO exited their van. Armando charging over to the woman who was speaking to who he could only assume she was debriefing to. This woman was clearly police, but she wasn't with them, so as far as he was concerned-- She was out of line. The area was lit up with flashing red and blue lights, cops littered throughout the parking lot, but he was zeroed in on her.
"What the fuck was that and who the fuck are you?" His accent thick in anger at this woman who'd just blew up his mission. His first big chance at showing the team he was really with them.
"Excuse me? You better back the fuck up that's who the fuck I am. Who the fuck are you?" She was feisty that's for sure, responding to him in the same way he'd come at her. In all honesty, it'd taken her a moment to register he was speaking to her because, what?? His hostility towards her was at an all time high for someone who she'd never laid eyes on before.
"Your little raid fucked up our cocaine bust." His nostrils flared in anger as he stepped to the woman a few inches shorter than him. "Or maybe your cocaine bust got in the middle of my prostitution bust." She shot back. "Again, who the hell are you?" The low rasp of his voice was venomous. "I don't answer to you, I don't even know who you are. Let's start with that before charging over here like you hot shit or something."
Armando opened his mouth to respond but was cut off by Marcus. "Hey! Ok, everyone. Let's just calm down." Marcus laughed nervously, stepping between the two of them. "Miss, I'm so sorry for Armando. You know, it's that Latin fire in 'em. Hard to turn off. Um, I'm Marcus and We're AMMO. You are?"
"Raven." Her tone softened but her eyes still blazed with anger in the direction of the young male, who was admittedly cute but clearly had her fucked up. "Vice."

💗Nutritional ways to help gain weight💗
These tips are definitely for the feedees who may not be into unhealthy weight or death feederism! Please do not take this as bashing any sort of denomination of feederism, this is simply here to educate someone who wants to take a different approach to gaining weight❤️
Also, I am not a health professional, this is simply research I’ve done on my own time. Sources will be below👇
Fill up on protein!
Having a large amount of protein and not doing a lot of physical activity can help promote weight gain! This happens because the protein that wasn’t used for physical activity gets turned into glucose, which turns into fat
Portions
While gaining it is always important to eat lots (of course), but especially when you are eating less calorie dense food!
Sumo wrestlers eat plenty of nutritious foods, but their secret is to of course is to fill up on it all!
Indulge in weight gain shakes!
Using bulking powders in your weight gain shakes is a definite way to pack on those calories! Like protein powder, it can either cause muscle gain or fat gain depending on how you use it. Not doing much physical activity can cause weight gain if you’re using bulking/weight gain shakes!
Typically, you’d probably add a dairy product like ice cream, or heavy cream to your shakes, which is completely fine to do! But do keep in mind that there are lots of cholesterol in high fat dairy products, which may or may not be what you want on your journey. A good alternative would be coconut cream, and coconut milk, as they are high in calories, and low in both trans fats, and cholesterol!
Another tip is to use your weight gain powder in things like smoothies, or even baking!
Fats!
Fats are definitely an important part in weight gain, and there are many nutritious ways to get fats in you! For example, nuts, oils (such as avocado oil, and olive oil, fatty fish, high fat yogurt, avocados, and eggs! Another thing you can use is animal fats such as duck fat which isn’t very high in trans fats and cholesterol!
I hope this was somewhat helpful to some of you guys!!
I apologize that the links were kind of posted weird, it’s my first time really doing something like this, so I’m not super used to or good at the format.
Again, please do not take this as me shaming any sort of denomination of this fetish, you do you <3

My doctor, who knows I have Hypermobility and possible EDs, suggested I got to a chiropractor and I still haven't psychologically recovered. (I did not go)
My doctor, who treated my mom for hyperlipidemia and treated my sister for her high cholesterol, is the one who prescribed a Keto diet (contraindicated for people with a family history of high cholesterol).
As much as I do hate CAM (and i do!) it has to be said that doctors aren't much helping their case in terms of what is or is not science based.
It sucks because it all sucks! The medical industry sucks! The alternative medical industry sucks! GPs don't know what the hell is up with any zebras they come across and the zebra doctors are few and far between! Insurance pays for chiropractic sometimes when they won't pay for PT and the patient gets screwed!
People shouldn't have to know all of this shit to feel safe going to the doctor! People shouldn't have to do deep dives into every single thing their doctor brings up to figure out whether it's legit (not in the least because if you act like you know too much about something there's a good chance your doctor will act like you're faking or drug seeking!)
The medical system is catastrophically broken and that's awful because it's still better than everything else, which is a huge indictment of our society.
Bad! It's all extremely bad! And I hate it and i'm sorry that your doctor did that! (Though I'm very glad that you did not go).

Rewatching organic chemistry lectures to prepare for an exam, but instead of taking notes, I’m writing down the weird things my professor says. And so…
An incomplete list of the unhinged stuff my organic chemistry professor has said:
Rule one in organic chemistry: carbon is a working girl. It bonds with basically everything
This is an alcohol. Something quite popular amongst students, I believe
A thiol kinda looks like an alcohol. But alcohols are usually enjoyed, whereas thiols is what skunks use when you’re stupid and unfortunate enough to piss them off. Do with that what you will.
There will come an age when your doctor gets worried about your high cholesterol levels, which often makes people wonder why we even have cholesterol if too much of it is so unhealthy. Let’s say it like this: if suddenly all your cholesterol vanished, your doctor would be pleased but you wouldnt be. You’d be a puddle on the floor.
How to know whether an anion is stable? Rule number one, and I’m sorry to say this, but gentlemen, your girlfriends lied. Because size does matter.
No self respecting scientist uses the IUPAC- naming system. But you still need to know it for the exam. Sucks to be you
An addition reaction is the most romantic reaction in chemistry: two things become one. But romance never lasts, and so just like that, one thing can fall apart into two again
For the exam, the bar is nearly on the floor. Just don’t write anything that is impossible and you’re good. And yet every year there are students who dig beneath the bar and fail anyway
The Sanger reaction was named after chemist Frederick Sanger, who is the only chemist to ever receive 2 Nobel prizes in chemistry. Marie Curie was also a chemist who got 2 Nobel prizes, but one of those was for physics so that’s a bit more complicated. Of course, there’s also the chemist Linus Pauling, who got 2 Nobel prizes as well… but one of them was the Nobel prize of peace and those don’t count

hey you scrollin there i have an important life tip
if you are still in contact with your parents, or you have access to your family's medical history, this is a good question to ask that you never really think of until something happens
"Does my family/Do we have a genetic history of anything I should keep an eye out for?"
Because the average tumblr user that stuck around before the twitter exodus is now reaching that 23-30 range, and that's when your body starts needing regular maintenance and if you don't- the 35-40 range is when issues start popping up.
I've known that my family has had a history of two types of cancers. Breast cancer from one side, thyroid cancer from both, so I've been wary of those and keeping an eye out in the back of my mind. RECENTLY I've also learned that my family has a history of high cholesterol and a few other things (my genetics are a fun smorgasbord of conditions and disorders :D.) I am glad I've found out about these things now so they don't end up being an expensive trip to the hospital later... or at least a less expensive trip.
BASICALLY, if you have the resources, ask about your family's genetic medical history before your body lets you know for you and consider any preventative habits you can start to prevent anything becoming a major problem later.
aighty you can go back to ur scrollin, thankee for readin 👋

what do you think would be the food preferences of the greens? canon and/or modern.
OMG I AM A TOTAL FOODIE GIRL LETS GO
Aemond: he is the total opposite of Ewan, he can handle his spice but not too much! He’ll be more into meat and solid food because stews and soups annoy him sfm (I can totally see him getting frustrated because he will spill the food on his clothes) so maybe Goose or lamb especially if it’s a tad bit spicy!!
Aegon: he eats ANYTHING you give him. No hesitation. He’d dive in like a man starved even if he had a giant lasagna earlier, he would still eat. My man has high metabolism so he’ll lose the weight in no time and EAT EVEN MORE OF PRACTICALLY ANYTHING!!
Helaena: sweet girl definitely has a sweet tooth! In modern settings i can totally see her forcing Aemond to bake with her! Practically anything sweet would do for her!
Daeron: he’s a picky eater. Like the WORST. Too salty. Don’t like the shape of that noodle. It smells wrong (words my sister has told me and my mom about the food we cooked) so he is one of the worst if not the worst. But he will devour the food he likes!!!
Alicent: anything salty would do. I can see her putting extra salt on her food before she even tastes it and nagging later that it was too salty but when you look at her plate it’s clean af. That’s why she gives the kitchen to either Aemond or Aegon even though he knows one will work like a chef and another will burn the house down.
Gwayne: maaaan he is just soooo perfect isn’t he? Eats everything but doesn’t overdo it. Like he’ll leave half of whatever is on his plate and acts all cocky and classy about it. But in reality he gets stomachache really easily so he just has to eat less than whatever is on his plate!
Otto: he’s a combination of Gwayne & Aemond! Would looooove steak and side vegetables but also won’t overdo it because he’s old and he needs to keep his cholesterol levels low
Criston: he needs to stay in shape all the time!!! Whether it’s modern or canon universe, he’d need to be fast on his feet so full protein low carb diets but he’d indulge in Alicent’s cooking a few times! Oh and he also would loooove sour things!!!! (Idk if you have it in your country too but we have something called Lavashak, it’s a thin dried fruit puree that is sour and salty but Criston would sit and eat it with Alicent FOR SURE!)

The controversy with Algerian amateur boxer Imane Khelif reminds me of the atrocious treatment Caster Semenya received when she failed gender tests. Caster's condition is called hyperandrogenism.
(Hyperandrogenism is a medical condition characterized by high levels of androgens. It is more common in women than men.
Symptoms of
hyperandrogenism may include acne, seborrhea, hair loss on the scalp, increased body or facial hair, and infrequent or absent menstruation.
Complications may include high blood cholesterol and diabetes.
It occurs in approximately 5% of women of reproductive age.
Hyperandrogenism
Other names: Androgen excess
High levels of testosterone
Caster went through varies test to prove her gender and then given treatment to lower her testosterone levels. )
This treatment made Caster sick and unable to compete: She said,
“You are not happy within; you are never happy. It makes you feel sick, nauseous. You have panic attacks. It starts creating a little bit of blood clots in your system,” Semenya says.
“Your stomach is burning. You eat a lot. You can’t sleep. You sweat a lot each and every day.
“It’s like digging a hole that you can never fill up. You know, it’s like you measure a casket and you get in and then you bury yourself. It was not easy. It was a hard time.”
Semenya won the 800m gold medal at both the 2012 and 2016 Olympics Games, but the rules introduced by World Athletics in 2019 meant she would need to take testosterone-reducing medication in order to compete internationally over distances between 400m and one mile – something she has declined to do. She was unable to defend her 800m crown in Tokyo in 2021 because of the rule changes.
Now people are calling Imane a man and saying it was wrong for her to compete against women. The lies and misinformation that is spreading has people like internationally known jerk Logan Paul and even lovable yet sometimes very ignorant Pat McAfee making disrespectful remarks about Imane.
Prominent figures in the sport like Claressa Shields and Jamel Herring went off about the injustice of a “man” beating up a woman, with Sampson Lewkowicz going so far as to claim Khelif “had surgery” to transition.
There’s just one problem: Khelif and Lin aren’t transgender.
Further, all of Khelif’s official documentation marks her as female and Algeria does not allow individuals to change their official sex. The country’s legal code is, in fact, against any sort of LGBT expression at all, with homosexuality carrying a maximum sentence of two years in prison. There are also photos of her as a little girl out there, not to mention a well-documented life story of growing up female.
This controversy definitely exposed the people in the sport and others who are transphobic.
These people should just mind their own business and if they were going to speak they should have got their facts straight first.

How I Want to Be
anon asked, so I shall deliver! a death feedism fantasy of mine, courtesy of my dreams! cw: xwg, death feedism, health issues, slob, feedee dom/feeder sub))
My belly groaned and gurgled as corn syrup poured slowly into the soda, my other hand grabbing a big, greasy burger from a plate on my belly. I dipped it in a tub of lard and shovelled it into my mouth, washing it down with heavy cream. By the time I was finished eating, my soda was thick with syrup and had more than tripled in calories and sugar. I could feel my heart squeeze and my belly complain as I guzzled the thick liquid, my entire body hurting and complaining against the layer of greasy fat and junk pressing into my organs.
My heart worked overtime to move blood throughout my fat-choked veins and my lungs barely worked, making me huff and wheeze as I swallowed. Soon after that, my feeder brought me a platter of greasy, shiny food, humming down the hall as I smelled the fresh grease and started salivating.
"Here you go, just as you like it!" he said, "Do you need anything else to drink?"
"Get me some two-liters... *burp* then clean my controller while I eat." I said.
"Of course!" he said, picking up my grease-covered, crumb-filled controller.
I started eating, dipping all of the poorly fried, greasy food into butter, lard, or mayo before stuffing it into my mouth and smearing food on my chins. My body smelled of stale grease, my belly shiny with oil, and I just kept gorging away, killing myself bit by bit with junk. Diabetes made my blood thick like syrup, heart disease and fatty liver disease made me at risk of a heart attack every second, and the cholesterol collecting in my veins made my blood pressure skyrocket.
My feeder rubbed my gurgling belly as I grabbed at the pile of fat on my chest in a futile attempt to do something about an oncoming heart attack, my second one that week. People say your first heart attack makes you aware of all the problems, makes you turn your life around, but it made me realize I was getting closer to dying at the hand of my own fat. I've had several years of heart attacks since my first one at 350 pounds, and I love knowing that I have several per week now, enough that my feeder bought a high-end defibrillator to keep me alive and gaining weight.
I'm having so much fun getting so fat, I won't stop until my last second!

SCREENSHOTS I GOT FROM THE JEREMY JORDAN LIVESTREAM YESTERDAY. especially love the comments on his duck drawings. he was very proud of some of them since he needed to practice before the stream. he admits he does not draw much lol
and here's Lucifer's signature that Jeremy came up with: a cursive capital L attached to a pentagram!
Tumblr media
the stream was SO FUN and literally only felt like 20 minutes even tho it was almost an hour
at one point he mentioned he's making pancakes with olive oil now since he has high cholesterol, and that he LOVES how the pancakes turned out. someone responded:
Tumblr media
(later someone joked he should make pancakes with bacon grease and he almost shouted (not angrily) "DO YOU WANT ME TO DIE? I JUST SAID I HAVE HIGH CHOLESTEROL. I just said. I had high cholesterol. Are you TRYING. To kill me."
anyway back to screenshots lol)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Take that, depression!" was a popular quote to write on prints, and he said he hoped we're not depressed and it was very sweet
some more quotes written during the stream and other notes:
"I'm gonna be signing these prints of my boy Lucifer, the short king of Hell"
he drank both a cold smoothie and hot tea during the stream. "Doesn't make any goddamn sense, but here we go."
"It's never too late to fuck up--too late to fuck shit up" (a legitimate accidental stammer. but still perfect in its own way)
"Every time I hear the name 'Shay' I think of my daughter's friend at school. My daughter's obsessed with a friend named Shay. 'S all she talks about. 'Shay Shay Shay Shay Shay Shay.' Shay and Madeline. It's like 'You can be your own person. Clara. You are your own HUMAN.' …HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KATHERINE."
hopes to go to some conventions for Hazbin Hotel. more likely to go to cons in New York, New Jersey (where he lives), or Philly area
"He's just a li'l cutie. :3 Is he really da bosh? :3" (wondering if Lucifer really is the Big Boss of Hell Himself or if it's just more of a title)
"Hope you're not depressed"
" 'Write something Lucifer would say to cheer someone up.' And I think Lucifer would think that… 'SINGING MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER!' At least when it comes to rebuilding your relationship with your daughter."
"Guess what's in my smoothie. There are six ingredients. Go."
"…said draw a little duck, so I drew the smallest duck I could. (holds print up to camera then says in small high-pitched voice:) It's a little duck!"
MORE QUOTES UNDER THE CUT. THIS POST IS GETTING LONG ASFQJSKSKSKKS
_____
about his smoothie again: "Obviously, I just went to the gym. So I gotta have some kinda supplement in there. ... WHAT'S THE BASE, Y'ALL? YOU GOTTA HAVE A BASE." (someone could use that audio and give a character a bass guitar lol)
(still about people guessing smoothie ingredients:) "WATER? Why would I put water in my smoothie. (mutters:) Water is for losers. ... Kale! -grins and points at camera- That's it! You win. That's my smoothie."
his smoothie was blueberries, bananas, strawberries, protein powder, almond milk, kale
"…with a hUUGE shmiley faysh! :3" (about a little " =) " smile he wrote with an autograph)
"THAT DUCK IS CUTE!"
"We love, we stan Lilith"
AGGRESSIVELY, ABOUT A JOKE HE MADE: "GET IT?"
Some fatherly advice from Lucifer: "Don't fuck up your lives like I did 😎"
HE SANG THE START OF HELL'S GREATEST DAD AND WANTS A MIMZY-LESS VERSION THAT ACTUALLY HAS AN ENDING QSJFKSKKSKS
he's only seen Hazbin Hotel once, and he had "~champagne fountains, caviar mountains, that's just to staaart~" going through his head for the two+ years between recording his lines and the show airing. he wasn't able to tell anyone it because of non-disclosure stuff, and eventually he even forgot what that song line was from. but it still went through his head
"[Person he was signing an autograph for] is a bi girl [bisexual], and that's pretty baller"
"AN INCREDIBLE DUCK YOU SHALL HAVE"
"Take that depression!! Quack"
"Hold please!" (i just liked imagining Lucifer saying almost any small thing)
Jeremy Jordan says Lucifer is short, and not just that all the other characters are tall (i cannot confirm that that is canon even tho that's what i want LOL) "What gives!? There are short people in this world, and they need some love"
someone asked what he thinks about OC x canon ships. he was confused about what OC means and then when the chat explained, he was confused about how "OC x canon" works. but he figured it out after thinking for a moment. "So basically everybody wants to fuck Lucifer. GOT IT."
"Am I going to Hell for this" (about all the pentagrams he's drawing)

Last year I had a scare with my endocrinologist
She had taken my blood and then told me my cholesterol levels were something she called “pre pre diabetes” or basically I was on the high end of normal
Straight up told me that she was worried about my weight
And to track my food to show her everything I had eaten
Despite knowing how fat phobic the medical system can be I still freaked out when I got home (and by freaked out I mean I burst into tears because I was scared)
I couldn’t explain properly to her that I get super obsessive about random things and that tracking my food would be a horrible idea
Or that because of sensory issues I probably eat more carbs then she’d like, sometimes healthy food is just too inconsistent in texture while dry ramen is very consistent, I don’t just eat ramen but I need that backup in case nothing else works
While freaking out I tried to do some research and found your blog
Saved me multiple days of panic and tears
I didn’t track my food in the end
Just made a list of common foods I eat
She didn’t even ask about it at the next appointment
She was actually worried by the fact that I had lost weight
She was happy last appointment because I had gained weight again
Very confusing
Anyways just wanted to say thank you
💖💖💖💖💖
…ok I won’t quit tumblr forever YET

Plant-Based Benefits and Tips!
A couple of lovely people asked for some elaboration on plant-based eating! I studied nutrition & dietetics in college before I dropped out so I'm not a professional in nutrition but I do have a broad understanding of the biochemistry behind what we eat.
This is kind of a long post, so continue under the cut!
Starting with the basics!
I aim for a more whole foods plant-based diet, which is essentially a low-fat diet that focuses on removing all animal products, limiting processed food, and minimizing oils.
Looking at micronutrients, both protein and carbs have about 4 calories per gram, but oil has 9 calories per gram. Low-fat diets are often easier to manage calories on, as you can fill up on a higher volume of protein and carbs (specifically fiber) to reach satiety, whereas processed/high-fat foods are higher in calories per serving, meaning you get less volume.
You DO need fat in your diet, but it's preferable to reach for nuts, seeds, avocados, etc. instead of oil, which is comparatively nutritionally void.
FIBER IS YOUR BESTIE. Fruits, vegetables, and whole grains are low in calories meaning you can eat more of them, reaching satiety faster than you would with something processed. Fiber makes your digestive system happy. Be sure to incorporate more plants into your diet gradually so your digestive system can adjust.
Let's talk about animal products...
They are inflammatory by nature. If it comes from an animal, particularly red meat and ESPECIALLY processed meat, it will cause stomach issues in most people.
Fun fact, we are biologically closer to herbivores than carnivores. Our digestive tracts are much longer and our stomachs are less acidic than a carnivore's, meaning we are designed to most efficiently digest plant matter. Carnivores, on the other hand, have short digestive tracts and significantly more acidic stomachs for breaking down flesh and bone. This is why many people experience gastrointestinal discomfort when consuming meat. This leads to bloating, gas, and constipation. We are omnivores because we CAN consume animal products for survival, but it is nowhere near optimal.
Dairy is highly inflammatory and is directly linked to hormonal cancers (breast, prostate, etc.) It is also high in saturated fat, which is inflammatory. When we are born, we have the "gene" necessary to process breastmilk, but for many people, as we age, this "gene" gets switched off. Past infancy, we don't need milk (or other dairy products) because we can get our nutrients from other food sources. Black and Asian individuals have the highest rates of lactose intolerance. Not to mention, dairy is full of foreign bacteria, especially from factory farms, which causes an immune response in the body, leading to further inflammation.
Eggs are saturated fat and cholesterol bombs. They're high in protein, sure, but you can get protein and a wide variety of other nutrients from things like tofu.
To summarize, animal products are high in fat, high in cholesterol, high in calories, and cause inflammation, bloating, gas, and of course, constipation. Eating whole foods like vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans/legumes, tofu, nuts, and seeds will boost your fiber intake, fill you with antioxidants, foster healthy gut bacteria, and reduce gastrointestinal issues.
Make sure you add more plants to your diet GRADUALLY. If you immediately go full force into eating plant-based, your stomach will experience distress due to the sudden increase in fiber, creating gas and bloating. But this will subside, and you'll feel better overall!
I highly recommend listening to seminars on YouTube by Dr. Neal Barnard, Dr. Michael Greger, Dr. Will Bulsiewicz, and Linda Davis RD to learn more in depth about what I've talked about.
Extra tips:
An air fryer is going to change your life when it comes to cooking without oil and making stuff taste good and have a better texture! I use mine multiple times a day.
TOFU!!! I'm a soy addicts, and tofu is my favorite source of protein. There's so many ways to prepare it, too!
Berries are so nutrient dense and delicious-- nature's candy!
There's honestly nothing wrong with protein powder even though it's processed. Just be sure to opt for vegan protein powder so you aren't loading your body with whey.
Stevia is a godlike sweetener, imo.
Eat a wide variety of different plants to diversify your gut microbiome and to get a variety of vitamins and minerals!
Take care of yourselves :') 💚🌿 I may add to this post as more things pop in my head!
When I tell you it's so goddamn easy to do dishes when you don't cook with oil 😭
Don't drink alcohol... this is the most hypocritical thing I can say lmao but it will wreak havoc on your gut microbiome

Here I will explain why my blog banner describes me as an anti sugar activist. I try to be as "scientific" as my brain and heart allow, but I value my experience over scientific studies even if they support my view, huge ridiculous autist sugar post incoming
Sugar is highly addictive for most people. The problem is way more dire than we act like it is. Added to foods you wouldn't even think to include sugar. The link between sugar and obesity, endocrine disruption, general inflammation and malaise, disease, diabetes, your teeth rotting out, and even cancer, is undeniable no matter what articles or studies you try to dig up. not many people want to admit how bad it is. People who enjoy sugar, who might say "you only live once! It's not like I'm shooting heroin" suffer weird problems and assume it's something else. Children set up for a lifetime of failure because their parents don't pay attention to their sugar intake at all. I have a very drastic example of this I won't go into much detail about, but a set of parents close to me are feeding their daughter extreme amounts of sugar. She has a learning disability and is a very intense child. I've hinted at the sugar link and everyone is in denial.
I have baby sat this child and gotten her to eat organic wheat bread PB and J with a no sugar added, all fruit jam.. happily told her parents who did not care at all. It was such a feat to me. Everyone knows a picky child. It's worse than you think. This is a gateway drug and I'm totally serious. I said I would not go into great detail... I too was raised on welch's fruit snacks, "pancake syrup", sprite, Kool aid, and worst of all I was allowed to put as much sugar that I wanted into my tea. My parents were wonderful, they just didn't think or know how bad it was to do this
I've struggled with a sugar addiction before and since getting clean from drugs and seen the effects of it firsthand. The most obvious to be seen from the outside that I can make people believe is my struggle with acne. We know bacteria feeds off of sugar. This is why people who drink sugary drinks are at risk for UTIs. If bacteria enters their bladder, sugar makes it grow. Well no amount of washing my face, bentonite clay masks, washing my pillow cases, wearing a bonnet, would make the acne go away. Recently I tried to only eat a certain pint of ice cream thinking less sugar would help. It didn't and I'm over two weeks off of all sugar that isn't naturally occuring in honey and fruit. Crazy how natural sugar does not feed the bacteria and hormonal disruption. I've been in this cycle more than once. Not only does the acne go away, my face appears radiant every time. Breakouts as soon as I relapse. Maybe you are thinking, this is a bunch of hogwash and I eat little cakes often without a problem. That's fine. I know addicts who have used meth for 30 years and you wouldnt wonder much about them. Smokers who lived to 80. Sugar doesn't do me any good at all.
Neither my mom, who was just put on a medication with awful side effects because she is developing diabetes. Her doctor (doctor she's had for decades who is a total piece of garbage and prescribes dangerous cocktails of conflicting medications !! That's a whole other post!!!! Put my grandma on pills which nearly killed her! Plus other people HAHAHA) saw her coming up with high blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol without thinking to suggest a diet change first. My mom is overweight and likes to eat sweets. My mom told me, I can still eat sweets, I just have to eat less. I did tell her that didn't work for me. I quit because I don't want to end up sick this way. Diabetes runs in our family. The prescription is making my mom nauseous and dizzy. Insane to me right?
Why aren't the dangers of sugar recognized? Why am I the only advocate I know? I would shut the fuck up if the dangers were believed by more people. Is it Because Sugar Taste good? Not seen as a vice. We accept that corn syrup is not so good. Canola oil pretty bad. Dyes in food causing children to develop ADHD and autism, or whatever. Is there no risk in consuming sugar? Many health professionals don't want to admit it? I feel strongly. I feel sick when I eat sugar but I can't find myself able to stop unless I truly try. We are all convinced that it's just a danger to your teeth if you don't brush enough. MIL is a sugar addict who buys birthday cakes on clearance and clears the whole cake in a few days, a twice daily flosser and brusher, who has lost over half of her teeth to extractions, sees the link, and has no intention to quit.
Finally, I bake yummy dessert recipes excluding half the sugar while using honey, maple syrup, brown sugar for what is left (which is slightly better than white sugar from my understanding) and I have never made a baked good that is ruined by doing this. You can't even tell that I've excluded sugar and the foods have more flavor because sugar doesn't overpower the dish. They don't make your teeth hurt. You can eat more cookies because there is less sugar and they taste better. The texture is the same. Bakers will tell you this isn't true and you need to use the whole amount of sugar so the cookies and cakes arent ruined. Yes, you need torched sugar on creme brulee. Fine.
Do you ever find yourself scraping icing off of a cake? I have baked more than one birthday cake for loved ones excluding sugar and adding natural alternatives (NOT stevia or monkfruit which taste like shit and suck) and ive gotten nothing but compliments. My brown sugar maple cake with cream cheese icing using very little sugar was a hit for my partners birthday that everyone probably ate too much of. This isn't a brag, it's an idea for anyone who bakes to try and change your recipes. It hasn't failed for me. Ok SOrry

Debunking Wellness Trends: Seed Oils
One aspect of the growing wellness trends on social media is the idea that seed oils are poisoning the population and need to be avoided to reach better health/heal health conditions/conserve fertility/etc. They’re being called “the hateful eight”, and there’s a lot of people doing the #seedoilfree lifestyle. Seed oils are being blamed for headaches, low immunity, disrupted attention and thinking, diabetes, and more.
(Seed oils include canola, corn, cottonseed, grapeseed, rice bran, safflower, soy and sunflower oil)
Toxicity Claims
Current scientific evidence does NOT support claims that seed oils are “toxic”.
Now, if you begin to cut out foods such as fried foods (like fries) or packaged snacks, you may feel better. A lot of people are attributing this feeling to removing seed oils, but these foods are usually high in refined carbohydrates, sodium and sugar which is why they’re associated with more negative health outcomes.
Another fear is that the “toxicity” comes from production byproducts. Heat and solvents like hexane are used to extract oil from seeds, which apparently introduces chemical additives and unstable molecules, which then can turn polyunsaturated fats into harmful trans fats. Realistically, hexane is a bigger threat to the environment and workers in case of inhalation – trace amounts in the oil are still being studied, but so far there’s no concerning data. They’re also heated for short periods, and actually have fewer trans fats than products like milk or butter.
Omega-6
Additionally, omega-6 (found in nuts and seeds, and a dominant polyunsaturated fat in seed oils) is also not “toxic”. In fact, it’s been scientifically linked to lower cholesterol, lower blood sugar and reduced heart disease risk. The argument against omega-6 is that it’s responsible for chronic inflammation – omega-6 linoleic acid is converted into arachidonic acid in the body, which is a component of inflammatory compounds. Only 0.2% of linoleic acid we eat turns into arachidonic acid, and not all the compounds cause inflammation – arachidonic acid is a complex molecule, and it also has some anti-inflammatory effects. Linoleic acid is also an essential fatty acid that our body can’t make itself, and we use it to produce cell membranes and for skin health.
Another claim is that our omega-3: omega-6 ratio is out of balance, and that this is because our ancestors ate a much more balanced ratio than we do today. We DO eat more omega-6 fats than omega-3, but the claim that we eat 20 to 50x more is misinformation – it’s closer to 10:1. Instead of cutting omega-6, the better solution is to try and introduce more omega-3 fats into your diet.
Realistically, a lot of the online discourse about seed oils is misunderstanding scientific reports + deliberate fear-mongering. If you do have concerns about something in your diet causing health issues, seek advice from a trained medical professional who can give you evidence-based ideas and solutions to help you!

Thinking about s2 ep3 where Jeff has his whole freak out over cholesterol and Duncan is the one to come up after class to him and check up on him.
"Mind if I ask what happened in class today?"
It's so simple but Duncan clearly noticed something was wrong and it shows how their friendship is genuine. I seriously wish we saw more of it because while horny loser Duncan is hilarious, he also deeply cares about his friends and can give genuinely good advice.
"While claiming to have no religion, you were actually devoutly worshipping yourself. And now that your God has high cholesterol, you're trying to kick Pierce's in the balls."
And it's so rare to see people worry about Jeff because he always convinces people that he's got it, so people brush it off. But Duncan has been a stable support for Jeff since the pilot when he cared enough to teach Jeff a lesson.
He sees through Jeff's bullshit but he also deeply respects him.
