SWEET DREAMS

Steve, (readers brother) is the only home at the time she has a nightmare. How does Bucky hold up when he sees her state.

Bucky’s met with his best friend consoling his girlfriend. He rushes over to them drowning Steve in questions. “What’s wrong? Is she okay?” Bucky asks, looking once between Steve and her. “She should be calm by now, but she had a scary dream,” he explains. Bucky sighs to himself, a little sad that he wasn’t there to comfort her. But happy that her brother is there for her, Steve is the only person he’d entirely trust with her with everything. 

Steve leans her to Bucky as Bucky accepts her into his arms. She stirs a little in her sleep but wakes up as she recognizes the smell of Bucky. 

Seeing her open eyes, he shh’s her to lull her back into her sleep. Rocking her gently. Steve feels appreciation and happiness that his sister is taken care of. By not only anyone but his best friend. Steve silently walks from the couch over to the fridge. Sitting a water bottle on the counter, he silently bids Bucky a ‘see ya later and ‘call me before leaving.

Bucky points his attention back on his girlfriend. Sitting slowly on the sofa and keeping her in his arms, he kisses the top of her forehead and whispers to her that she’s okay. She’s safe, she’s protected. She’s loved and she’s healthy. Unstoppable, strong and smart. He doesn’t stop until his truths have lulled her back into a sleep. And hopefully a good one. 

One more kiss to her forehead and she smiles in her sleep. Leaving him thinking about how grateful he is for her and how he can’t wait to marry her.

“That’s… weird.” Sean said. He pointed to the end of the counter.

Mark’s phone was laying on the counter, but it was out of it’s case. A note and a pair of earbuds were left next to it.

He and Signe cautiously crept up to the note.

To Whoever is Living in My Walls:

Oh dear, it looks like I left my phone here. It would certainly be a shame if I were to get a new phone and not need this one anymore. It would also be a shame if someone were to guess that the password is YOURESAFEHERE. I guess it’s up to the mercy of whoever is reading the note on wether or not to take it.

PS. The wifi password is probably most definitely not ‘5nights’ and the Netflix password may or may not be 'SquirrelKing’. The Netflix username is 'Merkipler’.

Also, please plug in the earbuds in case someone tries to call you. I don’t need to know your location.

Sean and Signe looked from the note to each other. “Is this for real?” Signe asked.

“I think so. What’s a Netflix?” Sean whispered.

“It’s definitely for us, and if this is a trap, I don’t see how. Maybe we can figure this out at home?”

Halfway across the city, Mark’s new phone lit up with an email notification.

“Merkipler,

Someone has just logged into your Netflix account at this location.”

The email showed him his address, and that whoever had logged on was near his kitchen. They were currently watching The Iron Giant.

Mark smiled. “Of course it’s the Iron Giant. What else would a borrower watch?”
