Way way WAY belated! So late that we are actually in the middle of reruns for pedasute. I actually started working on this back in 2018, but then I moved to Japan, and I got into working on other stuff. But hey, better late than never, and imo this is a masterpiece of early 2.5D. It is just so funny while still keeping the drama and excitement in there. Everyone always talks about Tenimyu (deserved) but Pedasute had a pretty impressive cast as well. I'm feeling nice, and this play is pretty old so I'm sharing the video as well as the subs. You can download them here: video / sub

Calling all Yowamushi Pedal fans!

Recently, Season 5 ended (at Volume 63, Ch 540-ish), but the official english manga translation is still stuck by Volume 40-ish.

I normally do translations, but @yowapeda-translations has already translated everything from Chapter 422, Interhigh Day 3 (year 2) onwards. Since there is a gap between where S5 ended, and where their scanlation starts (Ch 605), I wanted to close the scanlation gap (approximately 60 chapters) so that fans could finally read the manga directly after the anime. Maybe, if everything goes well, we can go back and do the remaining Interhigh Day 3 chapters as well.

So, we need cleaners and typesetters!

I kinda wanna draw a Genshin AU of Yowamushi Pedal but idk what weapon or element should I assign to each character...

I can Imagine Manami getting an Anemo vision, idk what kind of weapon he would use though... (sword??? Ohhh what if he uses a catalyst but does close combat like Heizou!! XDD)

Idk what element Onoda would get but I can see him using a bow as a weapon for some reason. I also headcannon that he got his vision recently or something (kinda like how he got into road racing recently) XD

I can see Midousuji getting an Electro vision but like Manami, idk what kind of weapon he would use...

There's more characters that I could think of but I kinda want to focus on these three for now haha... 😅😅

Maaaan now I really want to design some outfits for them but it's already pretty late down here, and I'll have to do a bunch of research on traditional Japanese clothing and somehow translate that to Genshin's aesthetic.

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending? uhhhhhh they’re all pretty happy for the most part I think??? besides the 3 angsty ones lol

7. Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve written? I don’t usually write crossovers, the only one that is technically a crossover is my spones and pokemon one, and I don’t think it’s all that crazy lol

8. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I don’t write it very often, but I have written a few! I’m not sure what ‘kind’ means exactly in this case, usually they’re in plot heavy fics tho lol, I’ve very rarely written pwp xD

I feel like I’m really bad at editing because all sentences start to sound weird and I can’t figure out if it’s just me being tired or if I just legitimately don’t know how to structure sentences anymore lol

18. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? it’s.....kinda annoying imo. Like I wish ao3 had a better footnote system, because then it wouldn’t be so bad cause you could just click on that to get the translation, but also narratively I don’t really see the point? Either your character has no idea what’s being said, so you could just say “they said something in a foreign language”, or they’re talking to themselves in another language, in which cause they could just say “in [language]” at the end. Idk I just think it’s pointless to write a story majorly in one language and then suddenly stick another one in there that readers most likely won’t understand lol.

A RANT ON YOWAPEDA AND HOW MUCH I MISS IT 💕

A friend of mine recently joined the yowapeda fandom and it just-ugh- it opened the floodgates bro.

Ohmygod I miss Yowapeda so much.

Its been 2 years and 170+ untranslated chapters. 😭I know a live action movie is coming up and I'm really happy but season 5 😭where are youuuu

I was hoping on getting some s5 goodness by 2020 but surprise surprise-still nothing.

Ahhhh don't let this rant get to you too much. I get that the anime might need to hoard some more chapters because a day in yowapeda world is more than a hundred chapters (+ this is some hard work, +pandemic, +the shit that is 2020) but I cant help itttttt I wanna know what happens next and I don't want to ruin it by the raws (everyones got a choice, man) and yo i know someone did translate with text but tumblr is being weird with this one account and you can't search for the chaps anymore :(((( I'm really greatful to them but I've been scrolling for more than 10 minutes and when I go to another chapter I have to scroll down again :(

I’m picking up YowaPeda for translation

I know nobody follows this blog, but I just wanted to announce that I’m going to start working on Yowamushi Pedal with yowapedafanscans. I’m a big fan of the series (anime only actually lol), but scanlations have basically stopped. The volumes in America are still at 28, so I thought I would push scanlated chapters at least past where season 4 ended.

Hopefully, as I’m working on the chapters, it might encourage other (faster) translators to also join haha. As of right now, I’m way too slow to make any real progress, but hopefully, one day, I’ll get faster at translating.

I would prefer not to put the text under a read-more, in case my blog gets nuked and I don’t have any backups. So sorry/not sorry for the big incoming blocks of text you’re gonna have to scroll past.
