My mostly finished Princess Yue cosplay!!! Made for Anime Boson '24.

Would love to photograph this cosplay after I've done some fixes. (Accidentally cut the hem of the light purple chiffon too short and the wig needs so much fixing.

ATLA is my cosplay roots! I have cosplayed for atla/lok five times now. In 2011 I cosplayed Katara mostly because I thought Princess Yue was going to be too difficult for me at that skill level. (Which is still true today honestly. I need to actually learn wig styling techniques.)

After not really making a cosplay from scratch since 2019 I really wanted to fulfill a dream, and I chose Princess Yue to do that. I had envisioned more for this cosplay, and I have so many beads that I did not give myself enough time to sew on. I took time off work to bring her to a presentable state for con, and I will be needing a break before I'm ready to return to this project. Overall happy with how she went! I'm so glad to get back into cosplay and already have so many plans for this next year.

Pirate Queen Yue

@arandin-art challenged me to try the hairstyle of her Pirate Queen Yue drawing, inspired by @ablueeyedarcher's fanfics. I made a bit of a spontaneous cosplay out of it :) It was fun

First project of the new year! Posted two months later and made in one night lmfao. I was so happy to be able to dress as Yue, meet Jack De Sena, and see SO many other fans of ATLA during Sac! Between work and getting my new apartment ready for making sukiyaki with friends, I wasn't able to really make Yue ahead of time. So, I rushed the cosplay overnight until I was interrupted by a black-out. And then I finished in the morning hahaha. So it doesn't have all the details I'd like yet, but that's ok!
