Basic Instinct Chapter 10

A/N: Just a little bit of fluff of Akashi being lovedrunk after the date. Masterpost

Akashi arrived home, still on cloud nine. The date had gone over so well, he could hardly believe it. The two of you were dating, truly, dating. He felt as if he could float. His father wasn't anywhere in sight. Good, he did not want his father to disturb his happy bubble. He went up to the staircase, wanting to go up to his room when he saw Fujioka standing above. "Welcome home, young master." "Fujioka-san!" Akashi greeted, with a warm smile upon his face. "I take it your confession went well. Congratulations," the butler smiled back at him, and Akashi once again felt grateful for the older man. It felt so nice to have someone be happy for him once he came home. "It did. Our first date went spectacularly well, it's a shame it couldn't last longer," Akashi sighed, missing you already. "Young love is such a sweet thing. I remember the first time your father took your mother out for a date. When he and his driver dropped her off at home, she spent the first half hour just sighing at the door, as if she couldn't part her mind off of the event." Fujioka smiled at the memory, and Akashi's own bright smile softened upon the mention of his mother. 'I wonder if y/n is still staring at her door, or out of her bedroom window into the direction I left.' "I am truly happy for you, young master. Now may I suggest a bath and relax after a day of racing emotions?" Akashi nodded, wordlessly drifting his way to the bathroom.

When he woke up that Sunday, he realized he had overslept. With a yawn, he came out of his bed and reached for his phone.

Good morning, I hope you slept well - A

As he send out the text to you, he couldn't keep himself from letting out a dreamy sigh. Yesterday truly had been amazing. He felt happy, knowing he could share his precious first time ever doing things with you as he explored things his father had kept from him growing up. With you at his side, he felt alive. Akashi felt himself practically bouncing off the staircase to go to the kitchen, in order to ask for breakfast. As he asked his cook for two simple pancakes, he started thinking about tomorrow, when he could see you again. He wondered how he should drop the news you were dating. Should he just tell everyone, or subtly hint at it with subtle displays of affection? He kind of wanted to boast to everyone you were his girlfriend now, though. He felt like the luckiest guy in the world, to have you as his own. After carelessly shrugging down his pancakes, he decided to go for a ride with Yukimaru, wanting to tell his best friend all about his succesful date. His tall, white coated friend had his eyes light up at the sight of Akashi and he smiled. "Hey Yukimaru, everything went well with y/n, just as I hoped. So you'll get to meet her soon enough." Akashi cooed with pride, stroking the horse's long nose. Yukimaru whinied softly, almost sounding genuinely enthousiastic. "Yeah? You're going to have to try really hard if you want her for yourself." Akashi teased and Yukimaru grunted. Akashi was grinning as he mounted the horse, and they galloped through the field behind his house, enjoying the scent of the green grass, the trees. He truly couldn't wait to ride with you.

As he went back to the kitchen for lunch, he looked at his phone, noticing a message from you.

I did, thank you! I had a wonderful time yesterday x o x o -Y/N

Akashi smiled at the message, and with a grin he typed back,

Me 2. So, my beautiful lady, what are you up to? - A

It was as Akashi was half-way digging into his lunch that he felt his phone vibrate, and impatiently he immediately checked.

Busy with my volunteering job. I'm wrapping up small gift sets for this elementary school in a very poor district. Things like pencils, cute animal themed erasers, that sort of stuff. - Y/n

Akashi smiled at your answer, his heart melting into a small puddle inside of his chest. 'She has such a lovely, big heart. I doubt I'll ever get over how wonderfully sweet she is.'

I love how you try to do so much for children in need. Your heart is such a pure thing, I am grateful it is mine to love. - A

With his lunch abandoned, all he could do was stare at his phone, awaiting your answer. Thankfully, he did not have to wait for long.

Stop it! I'm practically swooning right now, and I am supposed to be working! I'll see you tomorrow at school, my sweetest prince x o x o - Y/n

And as Akashi texted you back, promising to see you tomorrow, a warm smile passed over his face. This was real. The two of you, were really real. You were his, and he was yours. Talking to you over text, flirting so casually, this was his reality now. Perhaps he was losing his mind all over again, but Akashi couldn't stop himself from screaming out of joy. If the servants and his father cared or disapproved, they wouldn't let him now. Everyone just allowed Akashi to stay in his bubble. Whatever Fujioka had done to convince his father, it had worked tremendously. Akashi felt free to explore the sensations he felt, and whilst it scared him a little, he would not trade it for anything in the whole wide world.

Ooh it shows up pretty frequently, so here’s the longest paragraph I found it in!

“A winged horse never abandons its rider. Yukimaru simply couldn’t defend me from the multitude of predators and had to wait until he could reach me safely,” Akashi said with a smile before glancing at the primarily gray gelding that was now foraging from a bush. “As for a normal horse like Sirius… well, any benevolent creature that hears Nigou’s howl can be sure that it will be protected if it stays close to him. After all, he has become known as a guardian of the wild.”

To reiterate: a kiri dad relationship in which either the adopter or the adoptee is from kiri, and they protect each other/work together to achieve a goal, usually in a way that's a little bit fucked up.

Early Frost

“Yukimaru, wait!”

Gozu was just as tall and intimidating as he had been in Yukimaru’s childhood, but Yukimaru knew that his temperament was really gentle, gentle enough not to put up a fight. Himself now a young man in his twenties, Yukimaru was defying Gozu for the first time.

“Let go of me, Gozu!” Yukimaru said, shaking the huge man off.

“Guren-san needs you,” Gozu insisted.

“She needs help! I’m going to find a doctor. You can’t stop me!” Yukimaru cried, bursting out of Konoha’s busiest inn. Gozu waited for a moment, torn, but then he returned to the bedside of the love of his life.

Yukimaru’s long braid slapped against his back as he ran. “Help! Help!” he yelled. When passersby stopped to ask what was wrong, he panted, “My…Guren san is sick. She can’t get out of bed. Where’s the nearest doctor?”

“Well, the orphanage is closest,” said a woman carrying groceries. “They’re medics there. Even the kids. It’s two blocks that way, then turn left, and then two more blocks.”

“Thank you!” Yukimaru sped off in the direction the woman pointed. As he ran, he felt something he hadn’t experienced in years. His body began to glow blue, but his chakra did not form a beacon this time. Instead, it flickered and fizzled all around him in chaos. It hurt, but Yukimaru kept running until he reached the orphanage. Two men stood outside talking. One of them was very strange looking.

“Help!” Yukimaru cried, blue electricity still dancing around him. He hugged himself in pain, but words still poured out when the strange looking man approached him.

“Guren san is sick,” he repeated. “She can’t get out of bed. She needs help. She…” In spite of himself, he began to cry. “She gave part of her life force to save me, when I was a kid. Now she says her time is running out. I can’t let that happen! Please, help her!”

Spring Shower Siblings

This piece was more self indulgent. I grew up in a place that didn’t rain that much- but when it did it usually flooded the area a bit, so I’d always run around barefoot in the cold rain splashing every puddle I could find. Despite having siblings, they’d never play with me in the rain so it felt lonely enjoying it by myself after awhile.

Fubuki seems to have a bit of a sister complex in DRPG which I find kind of funny considering his more stern personality in Disgaea 2, but its been awhile since I played it.

Don’t feel like watching the several-episodes-long filler arc with annoying subplots about weird bad guys and Naruto collaborating with frogs? Never fear, Kimi is here to splain it for you! That, and this condensed video exists:

Things you probably won’t like:

Orochimaru has come up with the idea of manipulating Guren and Yukimaru.

The loud villain guy with brown hair is Kabuto in disguise (and acting pretty out of character).

As part of her training under Orochimaru, Guren had to destroy a village. One of the female survivors healed her wounds, but Orochimaru made Guren kill her anyway. That was Yukimaru’s mother.

Gozu, a scary-looking good guy, was one of Orochimaru’s test subjects. Gozu ended up almost dying of thirst in this confinement. Guren gave him some water, resulting in his undying loyalty to her. He’s probably in love with her, too. (He’s not in this video.)

Now that that’s out of the way:

The basic premise of this arc is that Yukimaru has the ability to become a powerful chakra beacon that can attract the Three Tails. Orochimaru and Kabuto want the Three Tails and plan to use Yukimaru to get it. How do they know Yukimaru can do this? That’s up to us to imagine!

Here’s the plan: Send Guren on a babysitting mission with Yukimaru. Using his chakra beacon makes Yukimaru sick afterwards. Guren will feel sorry for him and they will bond. This all happens as Orochimaru and Kabuto predicted.

Then, once they are good and bonded, tell Yukimaru that Guren killed his mother. This will make Yukimaru explode into an extra-powerful chakra beacon. Except, it doesn’t turn out that way…

The last thing to note before watching the video is that Guren gave Yukimaru a crystallized camellia that will never shatter while she’s alive. Unshattered crystal = Guren is still alive.

Also, Gozu is in the lake Guren falls into, and though we thought he was dead a long time ago, he isn’t.

Other things happening in the video: Shizune and Tsunade’s slug lead a team that’s trying to seal the Three-Tails.

Others of the Konoha 11 fight the Weird Bad Guys.

Naruto takes up way too much time collaborating with his frog buddies. This is luckily reduced in the video.
