I have to refresh myself with P5R tbh (the world is healing, I'm finally blocking P5 outta my mind uwu aksjflja). BUT from what I remember.... I'm.......not a fan of the changes tbh? I don't really care if it's "better" I just.... I remember there being changes that contradict or are just changed from the original ending. And like.....I dunno it didn't vibe with me. (also having to deal with the game gurgling Goro's balls so that wasn't fun)

I don't mind them adding stuff. But them taking away/changing something feels.....disrespectful to the original intent.

Take P4G. It's true ending is still the same even if you get the 3rd semester. But the change is that it ADDS ONTO it after the original part is over. It keeps the original intact still, both if you do or don't do the 3rd semester.

P3P, same for both sides. It's not until NG+ they give you an option (as a treat) to spend your last moments with a diff character. But the devs made it NG+ because they wanted to keep that original vision intact.

I dunno, it just didn't sit right with me to change it so drastically. And for what? (I know for what, fucking Goro >_> They could've figured out how to squeeze Sumi/Maruki in a diff way but Goro is where they have issues and have to write around him) It's just.....it gives "we aren't confident/didn't like Hashino's ending so we made our own TOTALLY better one~! ;D" And I'm just:

I think.......it shows that it also screwed Atlus over in the longer run too. Looking at the state of their spinoffs (and only one being after the events of P5, with the other's somehow taking place in the middle/before the ending of P5). While P4(/3) were able to move on with 3(/2 for P3) games after the events of both P3/4. And it's probs because they don't want to address the Goro problem.

(Oh I don't really have much like......love for their friendship in either ending. jfkldjsfa I don't really view it as "oh they can finally stop pretending to be friends." I know they are friends from what Atlus has told me. I just don't believe the execution that was given to me. "You said 'told' but what about shown?" What Atlus has shown me is they should all get better friends that like them, esp Anne/Yusuke/Ryuji. But neither ending invoke anything for me about the friendships. So it's a moot point)

Tldr; From what I remember they changed the ending and it feels disrespectful to the original ending (rather it just being the original ending with some additions). It feels rude to the original creator/intent. It also makes me feel like they aren't/weren't confident in their original work. I think it's screwed Atlus over judging by how they are handling spinoffs.

FUCK oh my god I just got an amazing idea. Fucking Galaxy Brain. Another monster fic, but probably a lot simpler to write. Since it’d be following a lot of the game’s setup and plot, there’d b a lot less uh...... effort.

Honestly maybe it’d be good to do this one first? Fantasy au is my baby, even tho I haven’t written a single word of it yet lol, so I don’t intend to abandon it. But definitely a lot of why I haven’t done anything with it yet is Bc I’ve been thinking and thinking and thinking about setup and plot and characters and where everyone will be and what I want to accomplish and like So many things. It’s the game’s characters and general vibes set up in an entirely different place and time and story. Which is smth I wanna do, Bc I don’t want to just do the same story as everyone else, but a little bit to the left. I want something that’s MINE. Something that leaves an impression. Something relatively original.

But that originality takes a Lot of effort. So....... maybe I should dip my toes into this whole writing thing with something . Easier.

My vision of Sayuri and Kaguya:

Sayuri will look like Kurama, but a female version. She is BEAUTIFUL and SMART.

The truth is, I don't seek to change their personalities, so a female Kuwabara would be the same in personality. She's a tough girl yet also a hopeless romantic. She's a good person, but will kick your ass if she has to.

Kuwabara's female body will be tall but not as nearly as tall. She will be curvy, voluptuous. Her style of dress? Well, as a guy Kuwabara wanted to be macho, but as a girl Kuwabara would strive to dress feminine. She wouldn't be ugly! All you mother fuckers out there who think she would be need to stfu! Girls are built differently than guys! NATURALLY. Anyone who denies this is BLIND. Since Kuwabara is very masculine in both face and physique, a female Kuwabara would be the opposite. Mind you, since she's a tough girl, she'd work out and be tone and muscular. She's a fighter, more so than Shizuru.

Kuwabara is sad that her long awaited crush, who she believe reciprocated her feelings, leaves her and dates Kurama who she finds out he dated before her and that he was never over Kurama. Technically, Kuwabara was just the rebound girl.

So I’m down with a small cold. My nose is raw and cracked, throat’s kind of itchy, and my cough is more frequent. It’s manageable, but when that snot wants to run, you better catch it! So how would our heros handle something like the common cold? I put this underneath a read more due to the length of my post.

Yusuke: Fucking baby. Any chance to complain and he’ll take it. Does not matter is someone is there to listen or not, he’s a whine bag. “Hate being sick, I’m going to kill whoever gave this to me!” Somehow he’ll rope Keiko into nursing him “back to health” to which he’ll bitch about how gross green tea and honey is together and if you try to force him to consume raw daikon juice, a fit will be pitched. Atsuko preferred giving him drowsy cold medicine so he’ll stfu and sleep through it. Yusuke’s nose is rubbed so raw that it’ll bleed. 

Kuwabara: He can either be worse than Yusuke or better than Yusuke when it comes to catching the common cold. He’s not a cranky old grandma when he gets it, he just defensive whine when things don’t go his way. Wants cold to be gone in a day and it’s not “Come on! I need to get better! why won’t I get better?!” Throat is itchy and the cough drops aren’t working in 5 second “Are you series? Am I eating candy or something? It ain’t working! My throat hurts!” Unlike Yusuke, if someone is nursing him back to health, he doesn’t bitch about receiving his help. Especially if it’s Yukina. OH yeah, he loves it when Yukina makes him green tea and honey. Kazuma cough can be so bad his sternum will throb from the pain. He also doesn’t cuddle his cat once he learned that animals can get colds and flus too. He makes sure that his precious kitten doesn’t get sick.

Kurama: He claims his human body never gets the common cold, but it does. Unlike the others, it’s very mild due to his diet. He’ll have some sniffles and an extra cough hear or there, but usually senses when his human body isn’t going to be well, so he eats and drinks food in preparation. Yes Kuwabara can feel his colds coming too, but he doesn’t do much it prevent it, a lot of times it’s due to the family not having the money to buy the stuff ahead of time. Lets pretend Kurama gets hit full force with a cold. He too is a whine bag like Yusuke, but grateful like Kazuma. If his mother or makes him home remedies and is just being a good mom, he’ll reluctantly take her help. “Really mother, it’s not that bad, I can handle it, you don’t have to worry.”  If a friend is by his side, he’ll try to shoo them away, and if it doesn’t work, then he’ll complain in his charming way. “I’ve used a whole box of tissues and my throat feels swollen. Yes my nose is red and raw, and I do have some aches and pains, but it’s nothing I can’t handle.” Yeah we get it, you’ve been through worse. He refuses to take cold medicine. He prefers natural remedies, and his human body does responds a lot better to green tea, honey and umeboshi.

Hiei: Can demons get the cold? Yes, it’s zoonotic disease. Which Kazuma knows it can be transferred to cats, but not demons. Hiei and Yukina’s bodies do not allow the cold virus to thrive. Hiei’s body is too hot for it to infect him. Yukina’s body is too cold to affect her, but the virus can me transmitted to others through her. If Hiei somehow gets the common cold, really his nose runs faster than him and his sleeve ends up just as snotty as his personality. To know if it’s sick, his nose will be slightly red and his sleeve gross. It’s the only way to know he’s sick. 

Koenma: Probably laughing in his chair because he doesn’t get human illness. He’s a divine creature, him and his reapers can’t get sick. they’re only susceptible to certain emotional/mental attributes like bordem and stress. They don’t get mental illness like depression or physical ailments like colds. So yeah he’d brag to Yusuke about not getting sick, to which Yusuke would probably sneeze on him and Keiko would yell at him. Quite a funny sight if animated right. So yes, if Koenma or Botan sneeze on you, one wouldn’t receive anything from them.

I'm Standing on a Million Lives - Episode 4

Even though a lot happened in this episode, it feels like nothing happened because they showed everything in the most boring way possible. Not once did it really feel like there were any stakes and the action sequences really lacked movement. Yeah...not loving this adaptation so far :/

Notes:

-To get the ~full experience~ I've been browsing the Crunchy and MAL comments after watching each episode. People are NOT impressed, especially not with Iu, Kusue, and Yuka. Everyone HATES Yuka. While I agree that they're pretty useless, I don't like bashing female characters because a lot of these commenters are incel, women-hater types and I don't want to validate their opinions lol

-Yuka looking annoyed at Iu and Yusuke's heart-to-heart was a mood. ("Stfu with your lame backstory, I'm tryin' ta sleep!")

-We get introduced to the time mechanic as well as the fact that they can't harm humans. I feel like the human thing has the potential to be interesting, but Yusuke just finds ways around it like 2 seconds later so it's pointless in the end.

-Kahvel appears and the audience sighs in relief that a competent female character exists in this world. Her sadistic personality felt just as forced in this episode as it did in the manga. I feel like it's always forced when characters have sadism/masochism as a personality trait. Aside from during sex, I don't think anyone really acts like that IRL...(unless they're like, an actual criminal lol)

-Rewatching this made me realize: aren't berserkers and black humanoids the same damn thing? People that go crazy after consuming too much monster flesh? Feels like clumsy writing...

-I was happy to see a live action segment at the end, I actually like it when anime do that! Too bad what she said was really stupid...(rehashing the joke about female streamers having to strip for views)

-Since I haven't mentioned this yet, I just want to say that I really like the ED's pastel visuals. Song is kinda nice too.
