You mentioned in the rogue of rot story that kits are warned against following strange voices, especially if they sound like babble- are there any creatures in their folklore or creatures that are living that could mimic voices like that? Demons come to mind but I wasn’t sure if there was anything else

I love things like this, these stories and legends are all so well thought out and put together

Humans, though I think that's obvious. A very intelligent fox can also string together a few of the phonetics in Clanmew. "Aaa," "ka'ak," "yyee." But the more active danger, which the Rogue of Rot story is REALLY told to warn for, is ravens.

In BB, the kittens have a LOT more freedom. They're not allowed to wander very far and they're almost always attended, but there are times were a kitten can be alone or in a group just consisting of their own age.

Ravens ARE smart enough to try and lure a kitten away from a group or safe area, and quite frankly if I didn't have the no OCs rule, I would add kits who die in various ways like this.

Clan cats consider ravens to be a type of raptor. The term "Yassga" describes ALL large birds that are capable of attacking a cat. Even adult warriors are wary of ravens, intelligent, social birds with powerful beaks.

There's harmless animals that can mimic voices too! Starlings, for example. There's also multiple words in Clanmew for types of mimicry though, and a starling doesn't "Babble" (evil mimic)

To Babble is to speak in the words Bumble cursed outsiders with, to talk unintelligibly or say blasphemy. To make words without sense.

Their favorite moment they share was Calida's first day at the beach! Dewdrop didn't get near the water but did so many sand castles and buried her, picking up shells, and just staying under the umbrella to take pictures of her and Aether playing at the foam and shoreline. Eventually they're all three just playing before Calida picks up a crab. Unbeknownst to them, Papa was taking pictures and caught them mid-laughter with the biggest smiles. They end up getting it printed/framed, and is their favorite moment together

When Aether got called into work for a consultation while Dew was having stomach cramps, of course there was an SOS moment where he couldn't leave Calida on her own. Aether comes back to see Calida in her baby bouncer on the bathroom floor, Dew still stuck on the toilet but trying to keep her calm 😭 LMAO desperate times call for desperate measures fr

Calida had a phase after getting somewhat understanding of her element where she's just burn anything near her. Her toys, her clothes, even her bed like twice. Aether carried a little extinguisher and Dew hit him over the head the first time he seen Aether spray her with it (she ate the powder.)

Aether loves rough housing with Calida—She loves doing it just as much, and you know the meme of RDJ vs Chris Hemsworth ↓? That's literally Dew and Aether. You'd think it'd be the opposite way but NNAAHH

Aether is honestly so proud of his daughter and will take any opportunity to brag and talk about her. "The weather looks nice—You know, one time Calida and I went outside and-", he ain't never shutting up. When she wins her first award in school, he's literally yelling like it's a sports game. Dew ain't any better but Aether takes it XD

When trying to change Calida to baby food, Aether was the proudest man in the world temporarily. Dew was having "too many issues" feeding her and getting puked on, but Aether was taking a video to show she had finished the entire cup of banana. "Hah! I told you, she just needs her Daba's—" mid video his shirt and pants get ruined. He does not send the video and apologizes to Dew. Sjjwjdjd

Calida had picked up Aether's habit of jumping up on things instead of moving up. Aether just jumping up on a chair instead of one foot first then other, so Calida now jumps on her toy chest. She also does the little jumps off her bed and first time she did it Aether grabbed her SO fast. "Your Mana is gonna kill me if he sees you doing that."

Ok, small story time! Basically I drew them becourse I read spilledkaleidoscopes works and in the second part Kim gets his own skills and there are only 8 and I was like "Fuck, If I were to make my own skill I am not forced to the albatrairie number 24 and also not forced to include all of physique and motorics gangs and i could just mix and match and nobody would care." so that's basically what I did

i took me 20 hours to figure their designs out (I am not kidding btw, i looked through the ibispaint recording) and 10 more to render them out to a point that i would say it's acceptable (i would have stayed longer if i wasn't physically and mentally tired of this little project and i also told myself that they will never be perfect and that OK)

DOUBT - LOGIC + anxiety + masking - Logic tainted by how many times you got burned. You now know what to hide; all your cracks and imperfections. WILLPOWER - VOLITION + a crumb of SHIVERS - Makeing peace with it all. I am silent most of the time but not, because I don't care. I talk only to remind you of the world's humanity. When you are at ypur lowest. You need to go on. You can take a break, maybe cry a little, but never actually give up. The world doesn't end with you, and it's worse without you in it.

DAY DREAM - INLAND EMPIRE + VISUALIZATION + CONCEPTUALIZATION - Close your eyes and see other worlds. Colors, characters, ideas, scenarios; all swirling in that little head of yours. They just make the puppets move for your own amusement. They unfortunately play with your puppet too, making you watch scenarios wherein you die a lot, but what can you do? You can't stop it. It has it upsides through, mainly escapism.

CHASE - ELECTRO-CHEMISTRY + ADHD hyperactivity + autistic hyperfixation - Longing for paradise and ambrosia. Comfort over anything else. They love to indulge and party. Not actually party. You know, more like watching youtube alone or with friends while eating chips at 2 AM. That is your type of party. Your batteries run low most of time, so a good game and a snack also work.

[ELECTRO-CHEMISTRY but a bit chiller, no drug related stuff, if sugar doesn't count. They just love good brain juice]

FLARE - HALF LIGHT + PAIN THRESHOLD - The fire that burns within us all. A caged animal that hisses at anything that comes near. In general it sits in corner, waiting, only popping it's head out to shriek profanities at whatever rattled the cage. All bark, no bite. A problem that you have is that you forget how people wronged you, but I'm here, I remember. Only emotions, but that is enough. You shouldn't give out so many second chances.

Yyee, ppl be scary sometime but also absolutely hilarious when angry (online game vice after repeated deaths, not irl..). Personally don't play the console/computer games since no money, but mobile game is enough lol doesn't even require voice chat since nobody wants or rarely wants to speak.

But .. adrenaline rush from the game so VV nice, only reason I played the game to begin with on mobile at first lol otherwise just character brainrot all the time.

Getting sad when nothing to feed that character brainrot due to the character being a minor antagonistic side character, they don't caree for the villains like I dooo:(((pls she looks so cool.
