I've been watching Shirayuki-hime and this is all I have to say send post

Even though as George Lucas said, Jedi Knights are not "celibate", I believe this quote from the great Vietnamese Zen Buddhist monk and teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh could be useful when it comes to the Jedi practice of avoiding marriages, and can shed a new light to the overall story of Obi-Wan & Satine and Anakin & Padmé.

"As a monastic you lead a life of monastic celibacy and community, and if the one you love realizes that, she will not suffer and you will not suffer, because love is much more than having a sexual relationship. Because of great love you can sacrifice that aspect of love, and your love becomes much greater. That nourishes you, that nourishes the other person, and finally your love will have no limit. That is the Buddha’s love." - Thich Nhat Hanh

It might worth to examine those love stories from this perspective, considering that Obi-Wan said to Anakin in Clone Wars: "It's not that we are not allowed to have these feelings. It's natural." even though he said, the relationship between Anakin and Padmé must not go beyond friendship, and what Lucas had to say on this: "Jedi Knights aren't celibate - the thing that is forbidden is attachments - and possessive relationships." and "So you have to learn to give up everything. And ultimately for a Jedi Knight, it’s very easy to give up. One of the things they give up is marriage. They can still love people. But they can’t possess them." and "A Jedi is never lonely. They live on compassion. They live on helping people, and people love them. They can love people back."

This relationship is some how the healthiest portrayal of Polyamory in media, and they aren’t even canon.

Like they are, but they aren’t. This is the closest anything queer I’ve shipped has ever come to being cannon and it’s so bittersweet.

Good writers made this a love triangle, great writers would make this poly.

I’ve reread this manga again and I couldn’t help but think a lot about three of them.

That’s one of the few stories where I actually feel like three people work together as a romantic and platonic relationship. The main couple of Zen and Shirayuki are very supportive, caring and mildly passionate; Obi and Shirayuki accept each other in every way, crack jokes and have this chill vibe; Obi and Zen, besides relentlessly teasing each other, share this unapologetic trust and respect (to the point of Zen trusting Obi with the life of their most beloved person). And there’s no jealousy whatsoever. I just love them so much.

I Question The Fandom Ship I've Always Loved

Soft spoilers....

Ok into season 2 of Snow White With The Red Hair and I have made a video for both Obi & Zen with Shirayuki however I have been a Zen girl from day one but Obi creeps up on you before you know it you look forward to every look he gives her or how he might catch her if she falls again. You look to see if he is lost in her eyes or if he is just smiling at her with all his love. Its not hard to see how in love he is with her. Not saying Zen doesn't love her but of course the upbringing is so different because he lived a more sheltered life unlike Obi and Shirayuki being from a lesser family value its not hard to see they would have more in common.

I think what starts pulling at my heart is by 2nd season every where you turn and you see her, he is always right beside her trying to protect her. Obi is willing to even give his life to protect her and I think Zen feels like its his respect and job of the prince but we all know he isn't doing it for Zen at all. I mean if that is the case he wouldn't have taken on the prince to win the chance to take her from the kingdom back to hers, he just wanted to be near her. I feel like Zen is the more attractive one and the white hair really pulls me in, however I feel like maybe just maybe Obi's heart and love is stronger. That being said I'm not stupid I know she only has eyes for Zen and him her but still doesn't mean I didn't wish maybe things could be different.

getting back into Snow White with the Red Hair after...six odd years is fun because ive unlearned a lot of my apprehension towards poly relationships and am adoring whatever the fuck obi, zen, and shirayuki have going on. like its so mutually affectionate. i know that zen and shirayuki are the end game couple here but they obviously have affections for obi and vise versa.

also, obi legit has the vibes of a particularly pushy cat that will force his way into his person’s lap regardless of if they want him there and i find that cute.
