At work today at our new #organic vegetable garden we have been looking towards growing more of our own vegetables to help guarantee the quality and more important variety of produce on offer at #bujerafort. So for the last two weeks we have been working with our new head gardener. Ganesh and the team huge progress so far and it’s very exciting. We have cleared the land and added a lot of manure goat and cow. The beds are being prepared and seedlings planted. And many more to follow. Leaky pipe irrigation arriving soon and many more seeds sown. Best royal in the island! Made a litttle detour to pick some up out in St Ouen today..... The secret is to put seaweed on your potatoes, the extra nutrients help them taste better. ‘Vraic’ is the Jèrriais word for wrack, bladder wrack seaweed that grows around the island.
