about me

i decided to make this post because my posts received a lot of likes these days (thank you guys so much!!), so i will put some personal infos and about my tumblr.

my name is matt, i'm 18 years old (may 4 2003), brazilian, black and a gay boy.

this tumblr was my personal acc back then, i used to post random icons and stuff, but since february/march i decided to focus on genshin only and my posts received a lot of attention, but this doesn't make my acc a tumblr to post icons, headers and layouts regularly, i don't accept submissions and only post when i want and have time to, my username isn't even related to genshin and i won't post always layout, but you can still follow me if you want!!

The middle Cambrian Linyi Lagerstätte from the North China Craton: a new window on the Cambrian evolutionary fauna

Abstract

The rapid appearance of major animal groups and complex marine communities during the Cambrian explosion is recorded in large part in Burgess Shale-type lagerstätten. 

However, the restricted temporal and spatial distribution of known lagerstätten continues to hinder the formation of a comprehensive perspective on Cambrian evolutionary faunas. 

Here we describe the Linyi Lagerstätte (ca. 504 mya), a new Cambrian Miaolingian lagerstätte from the Zhangxia Formation in Shandong Province, North China. The Linyi Lagerstätte contains a variety of well-preserved soft-bodied fossils, among which the non-trilobite arthropods, particularly the mollisoniids and radiodonts, are the most important groups. 

The new assemblage is remarkable for its excellent preservation of arthropod limbs, eyes, and guts, as well as for its close similarity in taxonomic composition to Laurentian lagerstätten. 

The distinctive Linyi Lagerstätte holds great promise for providing additional insights into the morphological disparity, community structure, and paleogeographic range of marine faunas during middle Cambrian (Miaolingian).

OK, so I'm sure that a good chunk of the LMK fandom knows some of the chinese names for these characters. Y'know, for MK, Mei, LBD's hostess, etc etc. But most of these, are my headcanon names for the rest of the cast, along with surnames.

I researched and found on various chinese (sur)names websites, and I tried my best to make sure that the meaning of the names are at least fairly accurate to the characters. Now obviously, some of these names are not headcanons, they are either from the JTTW book or the LMK verse.

Other than that, I really don't know what else to say. I just wanted to post what I think what the rest of the LMK cast's chinese names are.

赤子 CHIZI / THE HEART OF AN INFANT

INTRODUCTION

赤子 Chizi (spotify link here, YouTube link here) is the seventh song on the CQL album, and performed by Yu Bin as Wen Ning’s character song.

The title is a reference to the concept of 赤子之心 chizi zhixin—literally “the heart of an infant.” The chengyu refers to a virtuous state of mind and heart that finds its origins in Mengzian thought. Mengzi, unlike some of his contemporaries, believed in the fundamental goodness of human nature, stating that “大人者，不失其赤子之心者也” / “a great man is one who does not lose his infant’s heart.” Considered simple, pure, innocent, and good, the heart of an infant is generally used to praise people for their benevolent virtue.

ANNOTATIONS:

[1] 擦肩的人 cajian deren is just a little more complex than “passerbys”—it’s derived from the chengyu 擦肩而过 cajian erguo, which means “to brush shoulders as one passes by.” It is often used more figuratively to describe a fleeting moment of contact.

[2] I just wanted to qualify this line—生在淤泥 born in mud—because it’s much more literary in the original in a way that I couldn’t figure out how to render in translation. I like to think that it resonates nicely with the Northern Song essay 《爱莲说》 Ailianshuo, though that is likely more of a coincidence than deliberate reference.

[3] There’s a bit more to be teased out with this line: the concept of 原本 yuanben, rendered here as “not forgetting where I began” is closely associated with similar binomes like本质 benzhi / “essence” “innate character,” 本心 benxin / “original heart,” and 本意 benyi / “original intentions.” The question of “original heart” and “original intentions” is a central theme of wuxia and xianxia literature, which often explore how characters change and develop in response to obtaining great power (the challenge being, of course, to maintain the heart of an infant even when given the power to level mountains).

[4] Here, the lyrics once more evoke the metaphorical concept of 尘 chen / “dust” as a way of referring to the way elements of mortal life contaminate and entangle the people trapped within it.

[5] There is a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it reference to a Buddhist term: 修罗 xiuluo is an abbreviation of 阿修罗 a-xiuluo, which is the Classical Chinese transliteration of “asura.” Generally speaking, asuras are supernatural and superhuman beings associated with warfare and combat. A fuller translation of this line, attempting to incorporate the Buddhist reference, might be: “Even if this body is covered in Asura-like scars.”

Why is TNT famous in Taiwan?

The most well-known and popular boy groups and bands in Taiwan, such as Mayday, Power Train, and Little Tigers, are mainly formed in the 1990s. Whether they disbanded or not, they have always maintained high popularity throughout Asia. However, no more groups in Taiwan had accomplished the same achievement and rage after them. My first reason for TNT’s growth in popularity in Taiwan is because the market of idol groups in Taiwan is null. Not many new idol groups are formed in Taiwan, and those which were created didn’t become widespread either. 

Secondly, I think each member of TNT has different characteristics and stories. The story behind TNT’s formation was tough and challenging. A total of 24 children participated in the whole typhoon project. (The Typhoon Project refers to the TF family’s, the company of TNT, trainee project. Since its official launch in November 2014, it had lasted five years and ended on November 23, 2019, when the TNT debuted.) In the end, some of them made their debut in groups, some made their debut, and most of the children gave up their dreams of performing on stage and went home. During those five years, members from the typhoon project debuted different idol groups and were all disbanded except TNT.

 On July 19, 2018 (known as the 719 incident),  Zhang Zhenyuan, He Junlin, Yan Haoxiang, and other trainees were thrown out of the” typhoon program” and sent home overnight by the company. It was very temporary and the fans' emotions gradually intensified. 

(He Junlin was kicked out of the Typhoon program and sent home overnight. No one was sure if we would ever see him again as an idol.)

Fortunately, On June 28, 2019, the TF family announced the launch of the debut battle "Battle of Typhoon Transformation". In June 2019, Zhang Zhenyuan, He Junlin, and Yan Haoxiang returned and participated in the debut station as TF family trainees.

I think people often easily get touched by inspirational stories and start to have a good impression of them, so one key point of TNT’s success was the background story of them.

Last but not least, the third reason (which I think is the most likely one)  is because of their appearance. I first started to have my attention in TNT because of Liu Yaowen. He caught my eye during the performance with Zhu Zhixin.

(It was performed on TF Family "Reunion" New Year's Concert. He and Zhu Zhixin collaborated on the song “trouble maker”.)

Their appearance suits the public aesthetics nowadays and this is mainly why they became popular.

These are the three reasons I believed why Taiwanese like them so much.  Still, there may be some other possible reasons I haven’t found yet. In my next post, I would be telling some of the TNT fans in Taiwan feedback and opinions of them.

GDP Trung Quốc đã tăng trưởng lại nhưng nửa cuối năm 2020 chưa chắc khả quan vì người tiêu dùng vẫn đóng chặt ví tiền.

Hôm thứ năm (16/7), Trung Quốc công bố GDP quý II/2020 tăng trưởng 3,2% so với cùng kỳ 2019. Con số này vượt dự báo của các nhà kinh tế và là bằng chứng cho thấy các nỗ lực tích cực của Bắc Kinh nhằm kiềm chế đại dịch, "đau đớn" trong ngắn hạn nhưng đã bắt đầu khôi phục niềm tin kinh doanh dài hạn.

"Trung Quốc là nước đầu tiên rơi vào khó khăn và cũng là người đầu tiên thoát khỏi. Giai đoạn khó nhất của họ là quý đầu năm và sau đó phục hồi mạnh mẽ vào quý hai", Zhu Haibin, chuyên gia kinh tế Trung Quốc của J.P. Morgan tại Hong Kong, nhận xét rằng "hồi phục sẽ tiếp tục nhưng đà sẽ yếu hơn".

Quyết định của Bắc Kinh về dừng hoạt động kinh doanh vào cuối tháng 1 đã gây ra làn sóng chấn động kinh tế trong nước. Đối với các công ty nước ngoài có hoạt động trong và ngoài Trung Quốc, sự tương phản là rất nổi bật. WD-40, nhà sản xuất dầu nhờn có trụ sở tại San Diego (Mỹ), cho biết doanh số bán hàng tại Trung Quốc trong quý vừa qua tăng 26% so với cùng kỳ năm ngoái, khi các hoạt động tại Trung Quốc trở lại bình thường. Trong khi đó, tổng doanh số trên toàn thế giới giảm 14%.

Anders Nyström, CEO của Bulten AB, một nhà cung cấp ốc vít ôtô Thụy Điển, đã nói với các nhà đầu tư vào tuần trước rằng khối lượng sản xuất tại các nhà máy ở Trung Quốc đang quay lại mức trước đại dịch.

Thu nhập khả dụng thực tế của một công dân Trung Quốc trung bình giảm 1,3% trong nửa đầu năm so với cùng kỳ, sau khi tăng 5,8% vào năm 2019. Kết quả là chi tiêu thực tế bình quân đầu người giảm 9,3% trong nửa đầu năm trong khi cùng kỳ tăng 5,5%.

Dù tỷ lệ thất nghiệp ở thành thị Trung Quốc đã giảm xuống mức 5,7% trong tháng 6, từ mức 5,9% trong tháng 5, thị trường lao động vẫn là một mối lo ngại lớn đối với các nhà lãnh đạo Trung Quốc. Tỷ lệ thất nghiệp của sinh viên tốt nghiệp đại học trong độ tuổi từ 20 đến 24 tuổi đạt mức cao kỷ lục 19,3% trong tháng 6, bà Liu nói.

Ngoài ra, rủi ro lớn nhất đối với triển vọng kinh tế của Trung Quốc có thể đến từ Mỹ. Các quan chức cấp cao và các nhà lập pháp từ cả hai đảng lớn đang tăng cường chống lại Trung Quốc và áp dụng các biện pháp trừng phạt nhắm vào các thực thể Trung Quốc trước cuộc bầu cử tổng thống vào tháng 11.

Mỹ cũng đang phải vật lộn với sự gia tăng kỷ lục về các trường hợp nhiễm Covid-19 ở một số bang lớn nhất, kéo dài thiệt hại kinh tế và làm giảm nhu cầu đối với hàng hóa Trung Quốc.

Lian Ping, nhà kinh tế trưởng tại Viện nghiên cứu đầu tư Zhixin, cho rằng các áp lực bên ngoài và nền kinh tế Mỹ là những thách thức lớn nhất đối với sự phục hồi của Trung Quốc trong nửa cuối năm nay. Zhang Yong, người điều hành một nhà máy đã hơn một thập kỷ xuất khẩu các công cụ trồng trọt và làm vườn cho Home Depot và Lowe's Cos đã cảm thấy bị ảnh hưởng từ khi cuộc chiến thương mại Mỹ - Trung nổ ra hai năm trước.

Nhưng đại dịch khiến tình hình còn tệ hơn. Các đơn đặt hàng từ Mỹ đã giảm khoảng 20% trong năm nay so với cùng kỳ năm ngoái, với rất ít dấu hiệu phục hồi ngay cả khi một bang bắt đầu mở cửa trở lại vào tháng 6/2020.

"Dịch bùng phát ở Mỹ đã làm tổn thương nhu cầu của người tiêu dùng, khiến tôi thực sự lo lắng", ông Zhang cho biết. Nhà máy của ông nằm ở thành phố Đường Sơn, phía bắc Trung Quốc, với gần 200 lao động. "Tôi cảm thấy có trách nhiệm với công nhân của mình nhưng tôi không biết có thể bám trụ bao lâu", ông nói.
