the zipzap talking pals are VBs (all cv utaus) you can get on zipzap (https://sites.google.com/view/zipzaptv/zipzaptalkingpals). the site is mainly the place to watch pureiyan park or other shows i made in 3dmm (or capcut) but theres also utauloids you can get. most of them were voiced by me except for marula who has a different VA.

-->Alice came back around this time -- I allowed her to chow down on her steak, then sent her outside to scavenge while Victor practiced his Mischief magic (I’d forgotten at the time ZipZap was in fact Untamed). And, rather appropriately for the library lot, she ended up digging up a magazine -- WE’RE Living! I had her go inside and read it for reference, which gave her some insight into “werebies,” the disease that causes lycanthropy in The Sims 4, and how to cure it if you have an unwanted case. This inspired her to let loose with some howling, drawing quite the crowd -- though I don’t think anyone enjoyed the noise as much as Alice herself. XD

-->And what was Smiler doing all this time? Having an adventure in the underground tunnels via the portal potties, of course! They found and followed the magical melody over to the fancy room showing off the initial conflict between the vampires and the mooncasters (using their vampiric dark vision to avoid a pipe along the way); contemplated the dripping of an old leaky pipe and decided they found it calming; and located the wreckage of the old mill and spotted a lockbox under the old grinding wheel! It needed superSim strength to lift, so it’s a good thing Smiler recently maxed out their Vampiric Might! :D Their final haul was a plumbing upgrade part, a sprig of wolfsbane, and a pomegranate. Not an amazing haul, but they can always use upgrade parts!

-->As night started to descend over the library, though, I decided it was time for the gang to head home -- they’d accomplished what they’d come there for, and Alice wasn’t finding anything new digging in the snow and dirt. Fun and very important blob species fact time!!

Each and every blob is born without a gender. Later on in life, they can choose their gender identity. This means that all the gendered blob characters (such as Nebula, Haiko, Niya, etc.) are all canonically transgender!

When Bebo was first released on the Talking Pals page, he had this basic design. It was originally this, which looked closer to his past self only with rollerskates.

Later on, he was given pink sleeves (from his 2021/2022 design) and a hat. This Bebo we call the “short bebo”. This drawing is not to scale - it’s more of a chibi.

This Bebo was then redrawn to look a lot better and to scale.

Fun fact: When he was first released, he was advertised as a virtual boyfriend (Haiko was most likely advertised as a virtual girlfriend at this time). This was then removed.

Happy 3rd Anniversary, Nebula! (The origin story is under the cut)

Nebula originated on September 10, 2020. This day was a huge day of firsts for her voice provider, which included:

Installing 3DMM for the first time (Pureiyan Park came soon after, 4 days later)

Recording an UTAUloid (which took until November 2020 to complete)

Being really cringe in the rhythm heaven fandom (yes that actually happened but a few wks earlier)

3 years ago today, it all started when someone in a dead rhythm heaven server from 2020 wanted to make an UTAUloid of the monkey from Rhythm Heaven. Ginger (the VP) then told them something along the lines of “i want to make a voice bank of Play-Yan’s voice”. And so, on that day, Nebula was born.

During early development, she was male. The voice samples sounded (a silly type of) masculine - same voice you’d hear in Pureiyan Park.

But the UTAU software was like “nope shes female”. But VP did change that because their headcanon of the Play-Yan species was that they had the same voice regardless of gender.

However this is not canon, as she is found out to be a blob. Just a regular blob of the female variety. Fun fact: blobs are born without gender - this confirms the speculation of Nebula being trans! (This PureiWeb iceberg from two years ago talks about it.)

Fun fact: VP didn’t hear Nebula’s voice until November that year when she was first tested out. Her “first words” were basically the Scales song that was sung by Bebo. (Beta Bebo where the samples didnt work)

She wasn’t named Nebula until September 25th. Earlier that day, VP was in an earth science class and learned about the life cycle of a star. They forgot it, but the word “nebula” stuck with them. So they named her Nebula. Otherwise for proof we have included two screenshots: top from dms and the bottom is from the dead as hell pureiweb server

She was then released on PureiWeb sometime in November around the time the website had a URL (www.pureiweb.com)

Bebo was released October 30th iirc. Although she was the first, she was released after bebo.
