This is part of the lore of the whole story, but it's kinda spoiler (?)
Plus I don't remember posting anything else about this au here, so idk if you're interested I'll gladly make a post about this au and the role of the characters in the story 👁️👁️
Looking at some post somewhere comparing UO to the FE series
"wow interesting! I can't wait to read it!"
Few seconds later
"so that's why UO is a closer game to the FE franchise than Engage bcs Engage BaD, but it doesn't reach the "depth" of Houses which I really love bcs every character had nuance and depth save for the evil lizard lady who is very BaD"
Damn guys, I finally understand what y'all were saying about some fans comparing their "Galvius did nothing wrong save for singing a Jpop song uwu" masterpiss to everything else in existence to praise it, while shitting on Engage for funsies.
the way the ericson group were at the outbreak just a bunch of troubled kids who made various mistakes or committed crimes and were judged by a system that punished and abandoned them instead of giving them the support and love they needed, are then nearly a decade later put into a situation where now they must judge a troubled child for the mistakes and crimes hes committed against them. and 5 to 3 vote them out 😭
Episode 7; the tasks are all weird/likely ‘Watcher’ influenced more than normal
-Gem’s task on its own as a boogeyman zombie infection speaks for itself self as Watchers meddling
-Pearls task, break the 4th wall and talk to an audience, that is absolutely some Watcher action, and Impulse having nothing to do with Pearl’s death later in the episode, it was Gem’s trap before Impulse was killed by Bdubs, technically Pearl was never infected or not fully infected, but there’s a clear bond between Pearl and Gem shown frankly in E8
-Multiple clearly hard to accomplish tasks; Joel being above everyone, Grian’s pet, Cleo’s Devil and Angel balance system, Tango’s incredibly social and multi part task
-Tasks that put you at odd’s with others; Scar’s ‘villain’ task is definitely Watcher work after the suspected task (I think by Jimmy?) in a previous episode having that exact wording, Impulse’s fake boogie task being so similar to Gem’s, Big B’s lying to effectively every member of the server and telling different lies each time, and on a technicality Bdub’s task as it was meant for him to be kind of rude and sassy to others, although his ended up just being more funny
-The only odd one out is Scott’s task, trading with other people for diamonds, that’s harder to group in with the aforementioned ones, his was definitely an oddball
thinking about how Ravi once mentioned that 'all the zombies we met had blue eyes' after meeting Liv, Blaine, and Lowell and I just imagine him doing his zomb-doctoring and he realises they're all looking at him like-
I think mayhaps that Batman should exclusively be a member of the Justice League Dark. He doesn't really like working with people but also sometimes John Constantine is like "You know Batsy, If you help me save the world by proxy it saves Gotham" So he does begrudgingly. But only sometimes when they need help with some things because he's like a very good detective and sometimes you need that! But also mostly I just want the rest of the Justice League to not believe that The Batman is real??
There's an issue that they need dealt with and they think it's a demon so they call Constantine and he's like "nah mate, this is just weird ritualistic sacrifices, I got a call to B-man on this one"
And Superman is like "haha The Batman isn't real... Right?" And then they meet him and he is very much real.
And Diana is all like "Oh Clark you silly, obviously The Batman is real" But internally she's like "holy shit The Batman is real???"
Green Arrow still doesn't believe it because he keeps missing any mission that The Batman happens to go on and he's like "If The Batman was real my best friend Brucie Wayne would have told me so. Brucey said that the Batman is just a scare tactic created by the Gotham Police department" So he's pretty sure that the rest of the Justice League is just playing a long practical joke against him specifically
