Anakin was sitting hunched over on a stone bench, a Zeltron girl on one side and a Teevan boy on the other. A cluster of younglings were gathered in the grass at their feet, all of them crowded in close around Anakin like a pile of nesting tooka kits. “Anakin?” Mace asked, alarmed, as he approached and realized his Padawan was gasping for breath. He could sense Anakin’s panic and dismay through their bond, but was relieved there wasn’t any pain. “Anakin, are you all right?” “You can’t bother him,” the violet-haired little Zeltron girl informed Mace authoritatively as she sat beside Anakin and patted him on the back. “Our crèche master said that sometimes Anakin needs to rest instead of play, and that when that happens, we have to stop playing and help him.” She curled a protective arm around Anakin��s shoulders, glaring at Mace. “So that means you can’t bother him, either.” “Zule!” hissed the young Teevan boy on Anakin’s other side. Mace thought his name might have been Tru. “That’s Master Windu! You can’t talk to him like that!” “I don’t care who he is. He still can’t bother Anakin,” Zule said firmly, hugging Anakin close even as Anakin wheezed and clutched the bottle of his nutritional beverage with white knuckles. “I promise I won’t be doing that,” Mace said calmly, even as his alarm rose upon seeing Anakin’s condition. “May I sit with Anakin, please?”

This is Zule Xiss from the Republic comics. She fought in the Battle of Jabiim as a part of a group of padawans who had all lost their masters. I think her character really showed how devastating the war was for the jedi.
