But how committed? - This is the question I face everyday! How committed am I to managing my health, money, time and even my mental and emotional wellbeing. - It’s a challenge, I’m sure, for all of us. We’re being pulled in so many directions! For me, I can easily fall into giving my energy and time to others which leaves very little for “me and mines”! - In the last 6 months I’ve used the excuse that I’m too busy... and recently while reading “Girl, Stop Apologizing” by @msrachelhollis I was confronted by the fact that I choose to be as busy as I am. I’m the master of my schedule and just as easily as I became busy I could become unbusy. - I had a hard time with this. The conversation I had with myself was, “But, I have to do XXX!!!” And upon further examination, I realized I was giving my power over to soooooo many other elements. Staying positive is easier said than done, but it’s possible! In order to go from Negative Nancy to Positive Pat there are a few things you have to do first...

-

1.) Remember that perfection is something we strive for, not something we are! It’s ok it you aren’t perfect, but don’t beat yourself up when you fall short. Learn from your mistakes and figure how to implement those lessons.

2.) You embody what you believe and filling your mind with negative thoughts pushes you to believe negative things will happen.

-

Go back to the goals you set for this year. Start with thinking about those and meditating on the things you’ll need to do in order to make them happen as a way to distract you from negative thoughts.
