Fun last minute #DateNight (last night) Perfect weather to be outside and relax. In case you don’t know ... I am actually an introvert. I know it’s hard for you to believe that. This outgoing stuff is actually more-so the past 6 years as I started coaching. I prefer small groups of friends or one on one time to connect. I like an occasional bigger party too. It’s super easy for me to get embarrassed, many times I want to do or say things and don’t have the courage to. Can anyone else relate? As the band took a break, I said to Kev I wished they would play some Kenny 😍, Garth or LoCash. Tried to work up the courage to go. Then caught a guy let him know they were great. I’m like are you playing in your next set (like I know the lingo 🙄) any of the above? Some of them yes. Then shortly after they got back up. They played Kenny (my ringtone guy 🔥). Then ... When I first heard this song it was for a private concert with LoCash in Nashville for an award I received #ILOVEthisLife So ... I got up to take the video give the guys a high 🙌. And STOOD there Dancing 💃 by myself (holy 💩😳 in the back corner don’t get crazy). Old me would’ve just sat there, wished I was over dancing (like you don’t care kind), been afraid people were watching my not so great moves, afraid of being embarrassed. Nope not yesterday got that inner courage to do that thing outside my comfort zone instead of saying “what if” and being equally mad I didn’t do something I wanted. Perspective. It is amazing how time can give you a different perspective. I came across the picture on the left, this morning. I was shocked. I couldn’t believe how heavy I was and how, at the time of the picture, I thought I looked great. And although I worked out 4-5 days a week, I was still pretty heavy and my life was simply unhealthy. Not necessarily with how I ate. It was more than that. My work life and marriage were also unhealthy. I think deep down, I was probably unhappy and was in denial of my unhappiness. Beyond perspective is how time allows us to change. We can experience change that is good and bad. 6 years ago, my life began a journey that changed me in so many ways. A pregnancy, a baby, a change in places of employment, a separation, a divorce, disappointments, and hurt… Changing me into someone strong and living life healthy, free, and without regret; all while loving life and embracing every moment and opportunity presented to me. Anyone closest to me, knows how much change and growth has come along since the picture on the left. Not just physical change. Everyone sees that because it is visible. But, the mental and emotional change that has occurred and continues to develop. When I see the differences between the woman on the left and the woman on the right, I am empowered. I know my journey and the progress along my journey isn’t over. The differences between the two women, empowers me to keep going. To never stop living and loving life. And to never stop making healthy choices; physically and emotionally.
