It may be my birthday but here’s a gift for you all. A poem of hope.
A beautiful dawn, a single day,
The light and shadow twixt work and play.
Into the darkness find the shade,
That is where the light will fade.
Into the light and warmth of sun,
You will find hope and fun.
To the setting sun upon the sea,
The daylight hours fill you with glee.
Speak the truth and hold no sorrow,
The blessing of life begins anew tomorrow.

Some poems I wrote and wanted to share with you all. Would love to hear what you all think.
Come to me, my perfect one,
the youthful night still isn’t done.
To the water’s edge I call you near.
My voice, my song will lead you here.
Upon the breeze I send this spell,
The love in your heart will never quell.
In darkness I will be your light,
Your reason to stand up and fight.
I will shield you, strong and true.
With my words and spells anew.
Hold me in your arms, my mate,
Bind our hearts together by fate.
I am the one you do desire,
The perfect mate that you require.
In this moment and from this day,
By your side I’ll forever stay.
The shadow twists in wisps and dance,
In my sight the ink entrance.
Gone the shadow and the shame,
Only light and dark reclaim.
In this moment see the song,
A simple tune deep and strong.
A heart thread bleeds but none shall see,
What you truly mean to me.
You are my world and the one I crave,
The one who I will gladly save.
Mortal bonds of life and death,
Will hold no sway as I draw breath.
In this moment song of life,
Heal wounds caused by the knife.
The pain of heart that you endure,
Will cauterize swift and sure.
Memories echo within the mind,
All the trauma that I find.
Speak no more and stay your heart,
Remove the damage they impart.
A song in rhyme that you do see,
Will lift you up and set you free.
I will fly to you on high,
And stay with you until you die.
From now until that moment, last,
My heart is yours, the spell be cast.
Chaos of the darkest kind,
Held within a shattered mind.
In the moment that I see,
Light will shine as I decree.
Gone all pain and gone the strife,
Death is vanquished in the name of Life.
To speak the words that I now crave,
Life restored and this spirit save.
In no time at all, the chaos is calm,
Soothed by words, a healing balm.
Fresh as the mint of the morning breeze,
Pain begone and ailments ease.
A single tree within the grass,
Strong and tall, time will pass.
Into darkness, the tree will descend,
Both a beginning and an end.
From the ashes of the old,
A new sapling grows, strong and bold.
Clearing the way for life anew,
Reaching for the sky of blue.
With light that shines upon it’s leaves,
To nature’s law, the sapling cleaves.
Till the moment that it dies,
The sapling, the tree, from the ashes arise.
Words of wisdom flow like gold,
Water and light now unfold.
In shadow, the glimmer of hope you see,
I stand beside you as a friend should be.
I hold in hand the tools of my craft,
Paper and pen, the world to draft.
A simple stroke will protect you well,
Sealed in this sacred spell.
A web of light and magic unbidden,
Reveals emotions that are hidden.
To stand beside you in peace and war,
Warms me up down to my core.
Into the fray we enter with rage,
Fighting the demons that hold keys to the cage.
We fight for our hearts and what we believe,
To each other we will now cleave.
Cling to me and I to you,
Speaking the words strong and true.
At the end of the day,
You are mine either way.
The orange glow of golden light,
Filled the room and entered my sight.
As I sat at the table and wrote,
The words I wove seemed to float.
In the darkness that was the page,
The solid reminder that I was a mage.
The words of white glowed and sang,
In my heart, their chorus rang.
So sweet and strong with resounding voice,
To follow them was not a choice.
I danced along the page of black,
As words of white flew forth and back.
Every line a single thread,
A simple tapestry to be read.
Holding firm the threads of speech,
Healing hearts and minds in reach.
Waves of cool entreated by spell,
Words of power, anxiety quell.
Eclipsing darkness where it hid,
Finding truth behind the lies that slid.
Into shadow the words did seep,
Tears of joy to my mind did leap.
Enclosed within the poem I made,
Healing found and pain to fade.

This is what I needed
Post-breakup guide for autistics
Hey! So some time ago I broke up with my first ever girlfriend and I thought I could share some of the things that helped me moving on. These are probably obvious but if it could help even one person I’d be glad so I still prefer to put it out there.
This is mostly for people who are autistic like me but feel free to like/reblog even if you don’t have that neurodivergence :)
1. Get back into your special interest(s)
Something absolutely incredible in my opinion about being autistic is the relationship we have to our interests. The passion we have for what we love is enormous and I think this is one of the most efficient way to move on and sooth the pain. It helped me so much to go back to TV shows, subjects, characters that I could hyperfocus on. All this time when my head was occupied with thoughts of a special interest was time that my brain didn’t have to obsess over the past relationship. Finding comfort in a specific subject, fantasy world or activity can be such a great way to cope.
I’d just say to be careful to still take care of your body so don’t forget to drink, eat, sleep and set some alarms to help remind you to take breaks! :)
2. Prepare a bag of stim toys that you can carry with you everywhere
Breaking up with someone can be very stressful. It can mean changes in the previously established routine or situations to handle without a partner to help. It helped me a lot to always make sure that I had a few stimming toys with me so I could relax when going through these tough times.
3. Take time to name your emotions, this will help you deal with them
I know. If you are autistic, chances are you suck at naming and processing your emotions (at least it’s the case for me haha). This is why I make a whole point about it, because it costs us a lot more effort to take care of this. The first important thing to do in my experience is to just let it all out in a safe environment. If you need to cry, shout, draw something, kick a pillow, etc… Now is the time to do it. These emotions will have to get out so instead of letting them pile up inside it’s very important to get them out one way or another.
After this is done, I think it’s important to try to put words on what happened and how you feel about it. You can start with small precise events and do it step by step. For example, maybe when you broke up they used a word that actually hurt you, maybe you felt uneasy with some of their habits, etc… Try to say it out loud or you could also write a list. You could even use an emotion wheel like this (I haven’t use it but it looks super helpful!) :
Tumblr media
This could help you categorise your feelings and help you feel less overwhelmed by the negative emotions that are all tangled up in your head.
I think one of the key to move on is to help the brain process bits by bits the past so that we can put in a corner of who we are and look forward again. Of course this is only my perspective and maybe this isn’t what you need. I personally don’t think I could’ve moved on so fast if I didn’t take time to look into my feelings first.
4. Talk to someone who function like you.
This. Helped. Me. So. Much.
Talking to someone who is also neurodivergent can be a huge relief after a breakup. It’s just really comforting to know that you are not alone and that who you are is not to be ashamed of. It can also help if your previous relationship have left you with feelings of guilt or of not being enough. As autistic people we already receive so much negativity from others we really don’t need to carry even more of that with us because an ex couldn’t accept what goes along with being autistic.
5. Take time to be alone
If you just got out of a relationship chances are you didn’t have as much time alone as you wished or even needed. Now is the time to let yourself breathe.
Take as much time as you need to pamper yourself. Self care can take so many forms, it’s important to figure out what actually helps us in difficult times. Maybe you would need to establish a new routine, stay home with your pets, have a walk in the forest nearby, stim for hours while watching TV, etc…. Being alone is so incredibly important for most of us but it’s even more important when you’re autistic because of how overwhelming the world tend to be.
Give yourself time to heal by being by yourself.
Okay that’s basically it!
This is how I processed my breakup and began to move on but please keep in mind that this is such a personal topic maybe none of what I wrote made sense to you and that’s okay.
If you’re going through a breakup whether you broke up with them or you’ve been broken up with, please take care of yourself. I promise you time will make it less painful and you will heal if you put efforts in the process <3

Long time, lot of magic
Hello everyone, sorry I’ve been MIA for so long. I’ve been trying to make ends meet. Part of which is due to a divination class idea not panning out as I had hoped. Anyway, I have recently been studying magic under a friend of mine and have been learning to expand my gifts and accept who I am. This friend of mine doesn’t teach magic in a religious context which is great because I absolutely love non-religious magic. I’ve been working most recently on a project revolving around healing brain trauma. My twin sister recently had a concussion so badly that it’s causing residual trauma in her brain and it sucks to see her in such pain. In addition, I have several friends who have potentially life threatening injuries. They’re all being taken care of in the proper medical care, by professionals. However, to see my twin sister like this is truly heartbreaking. Now I don’t get along well with her much, but she is still my sister. To that end, I’ve been working on a new spell that will allow me to potentially speed up her healing process. I hope to keep you all updated as I progress with this endeavor. I also have been learning about the power of the fictional works that drive us as practitioners. There’s very few practitioners who don’t like fictitious works on some level or another. I was watching tv last night and was brought to a concept called videomancy. The term originates in the unknown armies rpg setting and is basically a diehard fan turned psycho towards their show. If the videomancer ever misses a single episode (even reruns) then they lose their powers. Thats gotta suck. On the flip side, I have seen the potential of watching tv or shows and seeing the causality of why you chose that show or why that particular episode was chosen or is playing (if you still have cable). This is just a thought as I sip my coffee and wait for people to get up.

Deities and spirit work: What isn’t talked about
I see so many people talking about deities and spirits and almost nowhere do I see anyone mentioning the way in which they communicate with humans.
Spirits and Deities talk to us the same way that we talk to each other. It’s essentially a telepathic communication that allows you to talk to them on the universe’s cell phone. It’s a profound experience and one of the things I think is often overlooked. Yes praying and offering things to deities and spirits is great, but every so often stop and listen to the world around you, it doesn’t have to be formal all the time. That’s what it means to have a relationship with a spirit or deity.
Bear in mind, this is my personal experience and opinion.

Chaos theory and magic
Chaos theory is the concept that seemingly random occurrences have underlying patterns and that these patterns are predictable once identified.
In terms of magic, the reason that magic hasn’t been properly assimilated by scientists is because there is a pattern that they have yet to acknowledge. Chaos theory applies to magic in that the world operates in a pattern that is seemingly random. Magic is merely the implementation of the human mind and emotional state to shift the pattern in a way that benefits the caster. Thus, spells are merely the means by which the world understands theories like chaos and matches the caster’s mental image of the pattern and the change.

Cybermancy and Mirror Magic
Catoptromancy is the proper term for mirror divination. In ancient times, before computers were a thing, many practitioners used mirrors as a way of communing with other worlds and with creatures. With the advent of the computer, those who used mirror magic found themselves able to access the same energy and power of the mirror realm through computer screens. Bear in mind, the first mirrors were not black scrying mirrors as we think of them today. Mirrors reflected light and it was the light that translated into visions and information for the mirror mages. That is why seeing visions is called “seeing the light” Mirrors are reflections of our world and computers are just the modern version of that reflection given more versatility and power to do other things that we couldn’t do normally. In ancient times, mirror mages actually stored their power and knowledge within the mirror as sort of a save file. The access they used to open the file was via an incantation which in turn opened their memory to include what they had done prior. In short, mirrors were the computers of ancient times. At least for magical practitioners.
When a mirror mage cast a spell, they often used a rhyme or local equivalent depending on when and where in the world they were. My personal theory with mirror spells is that they were an ancient form of coding that the mirror accepted and implemented.
For example:
A spell to call a wind
Mirror, mirror, hear my need,
Conjure a wind with strength and speed.
Various other effects were achievable through spells via mirrors. Through the understanding of how mirrors were the equivalent of magical computers of the past, we can understand how the digital world is a mirror of our own world and the use of spells can be implemented by simply coding or writing our desired effects for the world.

Fell down the rabbit hole and found former questions I asked. This really made my day.
I’ve got another question for you (sorry for asking so many questions about the young wizards series). The concepts of the Wizards Manual and the Speech. Let’s say, for instance, a wizard isn’t mathematically minded and has a natural bent towards poetry and literature, could the Speech take the form of poetry and could the Wizard’s manual be a mixture of modalities (pen and paper, laptop, and headphones)?
Well, this question has to be handled in two parts.
Can a wizard use something besides the Speech to do wizardry? No. There's only one language in which the Universe was built (though numerous recensions of that).
But that said: want to do spells in which the Speech is structured like poetry? Well, sure, why not? Poetry (when it's not free verse) is some of the most structured stuff there is: it'd work perfectly. (As long as you were really careful with the scansion...) And other forms of artistic structure could also work.
As regards the math end of things: you could make a case that both Nita's and Kit's Manuals (maybe more Nita's...) are mathematically- or scientifically-aligned because both their mindsets lean (or leaned) that way. But are there wizards constructing spells that look more like artwork than equations? Almost certainly. (There's at least one reference in Games Wizards Play to wizards dancing spells in the Speech rather than speaking it. Not to mention one of the wizards working with the event organizers for the Invitational, a graphic designer who was embedding the Speech into fonts...)
Secondary to all this: can the Manual be used in more than one modality? I don't see why not. The master project of "porting over" the Manual into more modern and easier-to-manage instrumentalities is first mentioned in The Book of Night with Moon—where Ehef, one of the feline wizards living and working at NYPL is a supervisor on the project. And this would almost certainly be a continuing effort, resulting in items like the WizPhone that Nita trialed at Kit's urging some while back. (And of course Spot, who started out with Dairine as a desktop and upgraded to a laptop along the way.) The attitude of the Powers that Be would certainly be that they want to make doing wizardry easier for qualified people, not harder. So, mix and match among modalities? Sure. (And at least you'd never have to worry about them staying in synch...) :)
...As for pen and paper: it's likely enough that the Speech was for many centuries in writing-centric cultures most routinely written longhand (after it broke out of cuneiform and hieroglyphics...). Probably there are even now wizards who prefer to do their spell structuring longhand—who knows, maybe even with fountain pens. (In fact, now I've managed to make myself suspicious about the work habits of a couple of people I know...) :)
Anyway: HTH!

Been diving into the lore of the Young Wizards series
Below is a version of the Wizard’s Oath. Beneath that is my personal versions that I created. All credit of source material goes to Diane Duane.
Wizard’s Oath
In Life’s Name and for Life’s sake,
I say that I will employ the Art, which is It’s gift,
In Life’s service alone, rejecting all other usages.
I will guard growth and ease pain.
I will fight to preserve what grows and lives well in it’s own way,
And I will change no object or creature, unless its growth and life, or that of the system of which it is part, are threatened.
To these ends, in the practice of my Art, I will ever put aside fear for courage, and death for life,
When it is right to do so, till the universe’s end.
A personal recension of the Wizard’s Oath is below:
In Life’s Name and for Life’s sake,
I say that I will employ the Art, the gift of Life, for nothing but the service of Life.
I will guard growth and ease pain, save the avoidance of my own, I will fight to preserve what grows and lives well in it’s own way. I will change no object or creature, save for the betterment of its growth and existence.
I will honor the power that Life has granted me through the furtherance of the Art and the use of the Art for such means as to serve those who cannot serve themselves in the same way.
In the Name of the One who Created this power,
I so swear to honor that One and fight against all methods and aims of the One Who Fell.
Till such time as the ending of all worlds.
A personal recension of the Wizard’s Oath
What is the goal of Life? To thrive and prosper.
What is the aim of the One Who Fell? To spread entropy.
What is the goal of your soul?
Do you seek power?
Do you seek knowledge?
Do you seek Life?
Answer these questions and the door will be opened to you.
Answer these questions and fight the One Who Fell.
I so swear to serve Life.
I so swear to fight the One Who Fell.
I so swear to find answers to questions, to seek knowledge, to hold power yet use none, to serve the One Who Created All.
I so swear these things, till the time of my passing and beyond.

Bibliomancy and its various forms
Bibliomancy and it’s various forms
Bibliomancy is a form of magic that is often done via physical books or electronic books. However, last night, I came across a thought of the possibility of audio bibliomancy. This comes from the concept of libriomancy from the magic ex Libris series. The characters thought that e-books were useless for libriomancy. What if, a person is unable to read aloud because they are mute, or if they can’t articulate things well? Audiobooks could allow them access to the magic of books due to serving as a channel for the energy. They listen to a specific passage, feel the energy and direct it with their hands. Bibliomancy has a wide range of uses beyond just getting information. I want to make it clear that books in any form hold immense power due to the emotion that goes behind the creation of the story. No writer creates a story or work or literature without their hearts and souls being in the project. Bibliomancy is a form of magic that allows one to feel the energy of this love and manifest effects, spells, or in some cases creatures from the story based on how much the author loved the creature. Traditionally, bibliomancy is done for divination, however many forget that it was also used for healing purposes. Bibliomancy is a very useful school of magic as it can be easily hidden and explained away as just listening to, reading or, writing a book. The core of bibliomancy is creation of life. When an author writes a story or creates a world, the characters become real. Writers are visionaries and powerful ones at that. Far from crazy, writers and bibliomancers both are essential to producing the flow of wonder and magic in the world. Another way that bibliomancy can be used is by reading blogs and fanfiction. Websites for stories and poems are extremely useful for entertainment and for creation of new ideas.
My main thought with this is the use of Audio-Bibliomancy. To use this technique, one needs to listen to a book and then listen to the messages that pop into their minds as they listen. This modality is much more involved in emotions and unspoken words.

My Philosophy on Techno-Magic
Tumblr media
Hey everyone! So, a long time ago, I wrote this post on my personal theories about glamour magic. Today, I decided that I wanted to a make a similar post about techno-magic. Like with glamour magic, I was a bit skeptical about techno-magic when I first heard of it, but, with a little research and testing, I found that techno-magic is a fascinating and very effective method of witchcraft. Without further ado, here is my personal theory about techno-magic.
What usually stumps people about techno-magic is the concept of energy. Usually, in witchcraft, people derive energy from natural sources– herbs, crystals, even their own personal energy– so, it might be a little hard to believe that a manmade computer or phone could have the same type of energy as the energy that nature provides for us. However, delving a little deeper into that concept, where does nature’s energy come from? This is a touchy subject for many witches, and, largely, it’s an unanswered question with many different theories. To answer this question, we have to examine nature a little bit more closely and look at what it’s made of.
Have you ever wondered what a quartz crystal is made of? Quartz crystals are used for all sorts of magical purposes…but have you ever asked yourself what a quartz crystal really is? The answer is that quartz is made of silicon and oxygen, two elements found on the Periodic Table. Elements, in the periodic sense, are everything that the world is made up of. Trees, clothes, flowers, furniture, food, and everything else on the planet are made up of those elements. So, if quartz crystals are made up of silicon and oxygen, it makes sense that the actual power of the quartz comes from silicon and oxygen, since that’s what a quartz crystal really is. Taking a look at just one of those elements, if silicon has magical power, then wouldn’t it make sense that other things made of silicon would have magical power too?
Guess what else is made of silicon. Computer microchips!
Therefore, if a quartz crystal’s magical energy comes from the elements that it is made of, and quartz crystals are made of silicon, then a computer microchip has power too. If it is okay to believe that a crystal is a ‘proper’ magical tool, then a computer is a ‘proper’ magical tool as well, since it is made of the same things that make up those crystals.
Setting this part of the theory aside, I’d like to address one other component of techno-magic: electricity. Sometimes, even if your computer is ‘natural’ in the sense that it is made of the same things that make up many other parts of the world, it might be hard to believe that it has any ‘active’ energy within it. If you are skeptical about techno-magic for this reason, I’d like to remind you of the existence of lightning.
Lightning is essentially electrical discharge– simply put, it’s electricity. If it’s hard to believe that theres any ‘active’ magical energy in your computer, remember that there is lightning sparking within it. When your screen lights up, it’s because there is active lightning swirling around in the sky that is your computer’s insides. Just as water energy, fire energy, and herbal energy are used to charge spells, your computer supplies electric energy to charge your spell and release it out into the skies.
To conclude, I think that techno-magic is not just a valid practice of magic– it’s a fascinating and exciting tool that makes the science-lover in me fangirl like crazy. The possibilities for techno-magic are truly endless, and I think that, with practice and a little soul-searching, techno-magic can be used by anyone for millions of magical purposes.
So that’s my philosophy on techno-magic. It’s very long and rambly, but I think it describes my philosophy pretty well. As always, my disclaimer is that I am no grand poobah of witchcraft. I understand that many peoples’ crafts are very different mine, and you are by no means required to subscribe to my personal ideas, philosophies, or theories. By all means, research and test things out for yourself. Form your own theories, and feel free to share them with me!
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed and found this helpful! If you have questions, feel free to send me an ask! Also, if you have any requests on other posts about my philosophies on different types of magic, I’d be happy to hear your ideas :) Thanks for reading,
Livi

4 Tips for Autistic Writers
Tumblr media
Autistic writers can face unique challenges when it comes to writing. NaNo Participant Auden Halligan has tips to handle some of those challenges!
So, you’ve just sat down at your desk, all ready to work on your next chapter, but you just can’t seem to start. Something is itching at your brain, and no matter how hard you think, you can’t figure it out. For autistic writers, that itch might be even harder to get around when compounded with autistic inertia, introspection issues, and sensory processing disorder — even if we were super excited to get started, sometimes the stumbling blocks are enough to keep us from going anywhere at all.
Here are four tips to identify your struggles and work around them rather than against them as an autistic writer!

Neuro-Divergent Practitioners
Some tips for your craft
Meditation doesn't always require sitting still and silent. Try dancing meditation, drumming, rocking, or walking meditation.
Keep a book of chaos or little notebook on you to capture those ideas or thoughts you might forget later on.
You don't need to have everything you see in your grimoire, only study what you find useful and fun for your practice.
Keep rituals and spell work short and effective.
Try not to fixate on astrology alignments, moon cycles, or esoteric correspondences for spell work. They may help but they aren't essential.
While visualization and gnosis are great for spell work, the aren't always a viable option, don't feel like you need to do them.
Always write down what was done directly after spell work to prevent forgetting any details.
Taking breaks is okay, you don't need to be practicing all the time to be a practitioner.
Organize your tools and supplies in a way where they are easily visible and labeled if necessary.
Background noise or music during rituals perfectly okay.
If you tend to forget to blow out candles try switching to electric ones or a salt lamp, candles aren't required for workings.
Try making recipes for oils, teas, incense, etc. in bulk.
Keep calming tea or bath salts on hand for those difficult days.
Try using different colored pens or highlighters to organize information in your BOS/grimoire.
Try keeping recipe cards for food, oils, teas, incense, incantations, or even short rituals in a box at your altar for quick referencing.
Try sticking to offerings that won't easily spoil or wilt, like stones, candles, statues, oil, and incense.
