Summary : While immersed in Pandora’s high grounds, you locked eyes with a Na’vi up close for the first time.
Pairings : So’lek x Fem!y/n
Word count : 1K approx
Warnings/notes : y’all I’ve never played the game- don’t jump me if it’s inaccurate, it’s part fiction T^T
Tumblr media
By the time you reached the Hallelujah mountain altitudes, the sun had shifted to set and moonlight guided your steps. The landscape was breathtaking, so you sat by taking in what would be the last moments of this live planet. The RDA, and your “allies” were going to take over at dawn’s first beam.. But you were never on their side to begin with.
Jake Sully had been incompetent in convincing the Na’vis to leave their motherland, thus you were now caught in the middle of a rising war.
You sighed heavily, was there nothing more you could do to prevent the inevitable ? Time was running out like sand slipping through fingers ; hellfire was about to break into their sacred Home-tree, everything would burn.
As you were on the verge of defeat, a swift ruffling of grass interrupted your train of thought..
?!!
A small Titan stood there, hovering behind you. His gaze looming over your head, observantly
He’d been so discreet that you hadn’t noticed any presence, until now
Freaked out, you almost toppled over the edge ; but their extended arm reached for your wrist before you could fall a couple hundred metres into the oblivion
Shrugging in relief and looking up in cold sweat, two golden orbs mirrored your wide stare.
A Na’vi. The first you’ve ever examined up-close. It was relevant just by the firm grasp on your wrist that he retained strength proportional to that of a Thanator Panther, which instantly made your blood run cold.
“It h-hurts” by the time they pulled back, your sore hands were bruised of blue
“Ah, sorry”
“You speak le’Inglìsì ? (The English Language)
“Srankehe” (A little bit) he nodded reluctantly
You were speechless. Past encounters with his kind, even at a distance was complex due to their aggressive nature towards the “Sky-people”. But this one was the total opposite: you knew their intelligence for comprehension was keen, but never this impressive
Dusting yourself off, you thanked him briefly before asking away about his motives & as to why he approached you so earnestly
“Kind human, not like other RDA. I grateful, see you save my brothers-”
Then it dawned on you. Two full moons prior, during the first Pandora invasion you had secretly released captive Na’vi children from Avatar testing labs. Because of your rookie-mistake, you were stripped of all commands and annexed from the research base to assist another deployment department
“So’lek?”
“Yes ?”
“You’ve grown so quickly I hadn’t realised-”
“You change also, beautiful”
With your hands unconsciously trailing over his pearled braids, you stopped at the sudden praise
“Why are you here ?”
“Want.. Work together. Teach use human Wartools for Na’vi Resistance”
However, from the corner of your ear could be heard familiar voices, those of your comrades. You were reminded that your shift/break had long passed.. & the plains ringed their footsteps approaching closer by the minute.
“No So’lek- this is crazy. I can’t save you all a second time. You must leave Now”
“NO ! This time, I protect YOU”
💥
Tumblr media
Your hands were covered in his blood. In a moment’s blur, So’lek’s back-hug shielded you from a bullet shot. Paralysed, you could hardly muster an expression at the sight of Quaritch holding a pistol in your direction
“I knew you weren’t a reliable intel, backstabbing my orders when I generously turned a blind eye”
“STAY BACK” So’lek winced, fangs coughing stains of red at your regiment superior
Before the situation could escalate any further, you both took the escape route. Calling for an Ikran, you jumped off the cliffside. Stabilising the mount as Quaritch kept firing down until you’ve flown far enough to hear him curse Eywa
%!!#&@
&#*!
£^%
“Lay down, you’re still bleeding”
You had dragged So’lek into the dense rainforest near an oasis in order to purify the wound given by that other scum. Thankfully only his upper arm was hurt, and no vital organs were critically damaged.
When tearing and wrapping your shirt around the injury, he did a mediocre job in containing the pain visibly drawing on his face
“They’re planning to strike again at dawn. You won’t be able to fight in this state”
“No, our Resistance Strong..
This is how we Heal”
Once properly able to sit upright against a tree, So’lek handpicked a hanging fruit from up above to consume it’s dripping nectar. You didn’t know much about the Na’vi recovery process, but this agrume did visibly relieve some pain
“Do we really have a chance against them ?”
D-Day was only one sunrise away, even if you’d agree to help his clan, you possessed nothing weapon-wise to work with. It was a lost cause..
“Hey,” snapping out of a spiral So’lek placed your tiny hands onto the flat of his chest, urging you to feel his steady heartbeat as a reassuring gesture
“As long as I live, we will prevail,
Just like we did back then”
With that, he then puffed a long and silent whistle to which a response was swiftly echoed through the thick night breeze.
Seconds later, you felt your head surrounded by an entire swarm of Ikran warriors.
Recognising them, they bowed to you. The kids you rescued now grown, all waved with their spears and shields elevated as a greeting.
Hope wasn’t lost after all. Seeing it for yourself made it clear your compagnon was right,
The war was about to take a refreshing turn.

𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐬 : 𝐔𝐍𝐈/𝐀𝐔
Tumblr media
Summary : it’s your last semester attending Cameron-College electives. While taking a stroll on campus grounds, you reminisce about the old times.
Pairings : Fem!y/n x group dynamics
Tumblr media
𝐍𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐘𝐀𝐌
Rumour had it you were dating a pro NBA player, but actually he’s a /10 malewife
You both began hooking up when his younger brother played matchmaker at a Frat-Party & Neteyam drunkenly confessed
His love language are acts of service, making sure to always squeeze in between your tight schedule to pop a kiss or slide a note in your locker : “Dinner is in the fridge, your favourite. I’ll be waiting -Nete”
He’s a great chef on a small budget & lets you experiment on his nails
On the opposite spectrum, you studied astronomy, joining the « Pandora Program (PP) » to learn more about Avatars and the Na’avi
You weren’t aware yet, but your boyfriend was preparing to propose before your expatriate expedition with the Resources Development Administration (RDA)
He loves bragging to everyone about how bright and beautiful you are. Never skips a day counting his blessings
Each time he’d win a sports meet, you’d buy him fresh flowers and wine to celebrate
You once told him he’d look hot with tribal tattoos, so the next day he called up (your cousin) Anoung to fix him a chest piece.
𝐋𝐎𝐀’𝐊
You were childhood friends/ more like a babysitter really, this kid was hyper high maintenance
His favourite drink was redbull so “play-fighting” was just an excuse to body-slam
Y’all would pull out the UNO over drinks in the boy’s dorms on late nights. But over weekends you’d KO him at Smash-Bros ft. Kiri and Spider
He once asked Tsireya to rebraid his hair, but she accidentally gave him a mohawk instead
Grocery Shopping would also escalate into Kart racing while Teyam tries to find yovo spices in the seasoning aisle. You were obviously the responsible one, paying / with the bigger wallet *ahem..
𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐑
Miles Socorro came to Cameron’s as an international exchange student (midway throughout exam season). You weren’t close at first, but Kiri introduced him
Jake volunteered as tribute to teach him how to drive over the weekend (cuz the boy helped their committee in organising events etc..) Almost crashed into a tree
You had one computer science class in common. He’d often draw little spiders on your notes, and you’d scribble stars on his
Lo’ak nicknamed him “Spider” as he wouldn’t shut it about the new Across the Spiders-Verse Marvel Movie
He also owned a ticktok vlog account which blew up like crazy after his friends stuck posters inviting the whole campus to see him do a cartwheel.. That’s how Miles became the school mascot.
𝐊𝐈𝐑𝐈
Kiri was like a sister to you. Growing up together, she took a liking to the books you read about Pandora’s flora
Most days you’d find her cooped up in the public library doing her own research
On Sundays you’d hunt for antiques and old-denim at the thrift store (your happy place)
Sleepovers at Kiri’s were always chaotic. Last time she had bought plants and homewear from IKEA, so her brothers had to drop in & help build the furniture (tho they got the sides wrong and had to restart).
𝐓𝐔𝐊
Neytiri and little Tuktirey would Face-Time from time to time. Neteyam told you today was her first day at school, apparently she made lots of friends ♪

𝐓𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢 (𝐎𝐜𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐲𝐞𝐬)
Tumblr media
Summary: “Her tears tasted of salt, and lips chipped like sand. She was beautiful”
Pairings: Kiri x Metkayina!MaleOc
Word count: I lost track at this point.
Warnings/notes: Angsty Kiri cries the entire ocean ; umm plot ? Writer’s block (& I’m back from the dead lol). Title inspired from the Jake Sully’s Series by @stargirlrchive
Tumblr media
You were definitely staring.
Well- sort of
•••
With Leiya’s family hosting the Omatikaya’s lodging, it was inevitable for you not to splash over each other. To be the Tsahìk’s confident and childhood friend meant being informed of the isle’s latest affairs (but ultimately : taking on the role of mentor in helping the tanned blue Na’vi foreigners adapt to sea)
Breathless-
She was at first ; when learning the basics of diving, while also leaving you short on breath.
You were tasked in teaching about the biome’s flora alongside Tsireya, who was on the opposite spectrum appointed to delve into physical respiratory exercises. Laughably, you weren’t complaining ; it was your field of expertise after all. Endless days of hunting with Aonung’s scavengermates through tepid- tropical lagoons wouldn’t have gone to complete waste.
Though through gritty teeth and fidgety fingers, your body-language couldn’t lie : Kiri caught your eye & when she mirrored your gaze, on Eywa your heart threatened skipping between beats. Her aura was.. tantalising, a sensation you never could name without wavering. She resembled the wild “blueberries” the Sullys had brought as token of appreciation for quartering. Indomitably alluring, but brittle in bleeding. You wanted to solace the sorrows she kept a front for, but her forteresse was one made of mistrust
•••
After tending as per usual to Awa’atlu’s seawall terraces *a chore tailored to your sparse schedule, you sailed off to inspect the proximate CoralCove. Upon skimming past the entrance’s gaping threshold, in-between mossy Stalagmites thrived your own secret subaquatic garden.
During the Eclipse’s after-hours, when moonlight stuck it’s quarter crescent & tidings rose above knee-altitude, you dedicated a moment’s sigh to the reef’s research …
Scribbling down the last of today’s findings in a keep-safe logbook, the intuitive reminder of heading home gradually became urgent. Yet before taking off, the unusual sight of flickering iridescence within the cave’s core had enticed a change of heart.
Distant echoes sparked betwixt unobtanium walls, and whispering wails protruded the thickness of it’s shallow waters ; another presence was within ear’s reach. However, this Haven was sharply located 6 nautical miles from the coast (whoever had trespassed wasn’t likely to be your familiar) ; so the noise left you perplexed.
Tumblr media
You Blinked-
Rubbed your eyes with seasalt
“Kiri ?”
•••
You could barely distinguish her hunched build from behind, with faint bioluminescent freckles blending into the dimmed background. Yet, it was undoubtedly her signature hiccups that alerted your ears to perk up in concern :
Kiri’s voice was to you, discernable amongst any crowd. You took a silent liking to it’s husky ringing, almost imitating a Siren’s Lament… Granted she was mute most times, dry eyes darting in compass way to the Omatikaya Rainforest. Homesickness gradually caught up to her, though you only stood watching as she withered from within ; week after week.
The lingering thought of eavesdropping was impendingly tempting. Part of you wanted to know what her crestfallen irises wouldn’t reveal ; your latter resolve was skimming the nearest exit (with cautious steps) before being caught lacking. At least that was the initial intention, until your clumsy tail mingled with fins *making you tumble over in a reverberate spatter…
“Who’s there ?”
You stiffened, adrenaline rising. Heart rate betraying your cover, sh*t
“Leikh’a ?”
•••
Rising from the chilling waters, you shifted eye-contact to wherever she was blurred out of frame in avoidance to the clear tears streaming upside-down. Not as if Kiri’s crying face wasn’t undeniably hot tho
“Um, surprise ? Welp this is awkward.”
Upon lifting your gaze she only returned a stare, irises flashing upwards, visibly irked
“I bet Father’s worried about me if you’re here. But I’m not a child anymore, tell him to leave me be..”
Slowly wiping the remains of her tears, she composed herself
“Actually- I’m not here on his behalf, I come here quite often. It’s my hideout. Kinda rare finding oxygenated heathens underwater…”
“Right-
“It’s not about your Father is it ?”
There was an underlining tension in the air left unspoken
could you..
perhaps keep a secret ?”
“Sure,”
Tumblr media
A few moments into the thick and thin, your tail couldn’t stop swishing left to right. This was the most Kiri had ever shared about ever since her arrival.
The luminescent pigments that dotted her skin had returned, and you found she was much more relatable than any of your siblings here ; even quirky sometimes.
•••
Tumblr media
“I feel her, Leikh’a... Eywa.
Kiri had placed both your hands in hers, faintly whispering
I hear her breathing. I hear her heartbeat.
She's so close. She's just there.
Like a word about to be spoken...
I know you think I'm crazy”
“What does her heart feel like ?”
“Mighty.”
“Please don’t tell anyone.. your people think we’re freaks”
“I don’t,
Listen. You don’t need 5 fingers or fins to accomplish great things-
Oel ngati kameie, I see (through) you
And you’re beautiful.”

Tumblr media
Summary: working under Norm Spellman as replacement assistant for Grace Augustine’s position proved itself to be a challenging feat. However, having to babysit Sully’s children between shifts soon became an icky ordeal
Pairings: Lo’ak x Dreamwalker!FemOc
Reading time: approx 10min
Warnings/notes: y/n almost dies, ambient music, Quaritch Queen rage
Tumblr media
You regretted applying for the internship.
After the war, the damaged outer lab was decommissioned by the SciOps staff. Only a select few were allowed to remain stationed to pursue research by Pandora’s outskirts. Among the recruited candidates, only you had resolved to stay (had you not fallen lovestruck by the studies of the exo-biosphere and it’s bioluminescent habitants)
Fifteen years had passed but your cute fascination for Na’vi culture never subsided. It was as if you were one with them, even going as far as initiating unit expeditions and adopting the different types of tribe dialects. Though this only rendered coworking with Norm all the less bearable, as he’d always nag about your resemblance with Jake back in the day. Maybe that’s why his kids were left in your care?
You majored in biochemistry, detained a botanist degree and was fully fledged in the arts of herbal mastery. So why under Eywa’s watch had you yielded into making your workspace a kindergarten ?
You knew the little quadrio since they were still unborn babies. Neteyam, Lo’ak, Spider and Kiri often visited the labelled "old shack" when playing beyond the depths of the Omatikayan Home Tree. At first, supervising them was no harder than taming a banshee (one Yovo fruit each did the trick easily). But growing up, they kept you company by asking all sorts of questions about humans-avatars-and common history
“Peu lu sat miklor reykol?” (What is that pleasant sounding music player?)
Lo’ak’s inquisitive scrutiny took you off guard, marvelled by your Bluetooth speaker playing a serene tune never heard before. Poking at the buzzing device, his ears twitched adorably and tail wiggled with vigour. The boy’s intrigue had you muffle a toothy chuckle, but having heard it, he shrugged back feeling embarrassingly naïve
“It’s a Handpan duo, street musicians from Earth” you explained while mimicking the use of the percussion instrument, laughing out loud
It was a calm humid afternoon, the weather forecast had envisioned heavy rain. Now used to the environment’s tropical climate, you were also familiar with Lo’ak’s solo visits. He’d frequently drop by on cloudy days, mostly to find shelter after arguing with his dad. At least it seemed to be his excuse to help around with your experiments. Little did you know, the kid would offer himself in a heartbeat as test subject, if you were willing to let him that is
You’d be lying to say you weren’t expecting him to visit every other day, over a cup of hot cocoa. It became sort of an unspoken routine. And today was no different, Lo’ak sat legs crossed over the central workbench where you were manipulating a panopyra sample. Behind your desk, Norm was relayed to monitor Grace’s avatar capsule while conversing with Kiri-Spider-and Nete. You only listened to the background chatter indirectly, too focused on the task at hand
“Did you know this zooplantae detains a primitive nervous system like no other? It has a sensory tissue and a saprophytic epiphyte lifestyle, typically growing attached to other flora high in the canopy. Truly fascinating…”Eyes glued to the little organisms seen through your microscope, you had almost forgotten a third party’s presence
“You’re so smart Leiya, our people only collect it’s liquid for healing drinks. At best, the stems are used for making nets, or for mating aphrodisiacs” you could tell he was attentively listening by the compelling response, sometimes even proposing intuitive ideas for practical innovations
“Lo’ak you’re flattering me, it’s only factual groundwork for my thesis. But thanks”
“Hey but didn’t you also create a Dreamwalker vessel? How can that be a minor detail?” Looking over your shoulder you noticed Norm’s hand gripping down at it, now gaining everyone’s attention
“Really?? Can we please see her?” Kiri’s head promptly perked up
“Wow auntie Ley, me too!” Spider too had flowingly joined the chant
“Um, I suppose so. However it’s not entirely functional yet. Her name is Te’Leylah” without any restraint you led their daunting eyes towards your own hybrid-bed.
Although before you could go into detail about additional repairs, external voices outside the lab cabin had aroused suspicion within (and enough for you to go check for yourself)
Tumblr media
You were right for regretting working as an intern.
Recombinant infiltrators were lurking right outside your office, and it was no other than the human colonists based at Bridgehead. You knew fairly well news of new cryoexported deployments from home weren’t because of the lack of crew agents here. What you feared was a second invasion, potentially capable of fuelling another war. Even so, nothing was for certain
“May I help you gentlemen?” Your voice had cut through the overgrown grass: through your exopack mask, and turning five sets of heads. Uncomfortable wouldn’t begin to describe the situation
“Hm, yes. We’re going to be direct darling. Have you ever heard of a man named Sully? We’d love to have a friendly conversation with an old comrade. Since you seem to work here, I’m sure you have a vague idea” A sturdy soldier (Quaritch) strode forward, looking down on your petite frame
“I’m sorry, I’m only an intern who’s temporally on stay. I’m not sure to be of help, as this lab has been rusty before my commission…” you were aware lying was futile, but only buying time. No way these rugged guys hadn’t thought of forcibly raiding the place.
“I don’t think you quite understand, lady. Do we look like fools? it’s either you spit it out or we make you.” Another trooper (Lyle) exclaimed impatiently. The threatening didn’t faze you, but their weighing artillery surely did
“As I said, I’ve only crossed wild Prolemurises or Shimmyflys, no Na’vi or humans for that matter” there wasn’t any hesitation detectable in the response, though your body language spoke volumes. Cold sweat drew down your collar as they nonchalantly approached closer
“Oh really? I think you’re a bad liar… Lads, immobilise her” following their captain’s order, your limbs were fastened together by yellow wristbands. Slipping an acute wince pass your chapped lips
“Should’ve used that nasty tongue of yours more wisely. You leave us no choice but resolving to harsher methods, missy” With that, the group’s soldiers seeped through the ground vines and into the shack. Leaving behind their boss on watch
Tumblr media
“Um, chief the area is NSTR (all clear). What do we do?” Mansk, a tattooed bull of a man darted out moments later, scratching his nuke awkwardly. Thankfully, you assumed the kiddos must’ve escaped safely with Norm ; sighing in relief
“We might have cheap thrills extracting information from our new hostage, while we’re at it. DrLey this is your last chance” By the looks of the situation, Quaritch was loosing patience. In fact, it was only a guess that his child-like temper stood by a thread
“You mean through torture? Commander, we might be mistaken-” the subordinates agreed in unison on the matter, though it only made their superior grip and pull pack your hair violently. Exposing along the way in his brisk motion, a freshly sharpened blade to your nape
“Go ahead, I’m all yours. You’ll never find them anyways, heh” a fine line of blood was slowly festering from the cut, stinging, but you had already surrendered
“So you do know... Alright, let’s hear it pretty girl”
*ptish* spitting right in his face, you surely didn’t miss, smirking innocently
??! “YOU LITTLE-”
“Eat your own medicine @&*$%#!!”
“In that case, I won’t regret teaching you a lesson…B R A T”
Tumblr media

Bzz
Bzzt
BZZT.
Faintly battering lashes, you slowly regained consciousness, only without an airmask, bathed in the humidity of your own blood and chocked for air. The rogue attackers fell quiet. Your ears merely caught up to inaudible grunts and cries, before reaching out to your damaged phone
Norm’s name appeared pressingly ringing on the fractured screen. However, dizziness overwhelmed your strength to respond
Pandora's toxic atmosphere was known to be unbreathable by humans, due to the high concentration of carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide. This deadly mix causes lethal reactions : including burning of mucous membranes, followed by death within minutes due to cellular oxygen deprivation.
The stars almost seemed to be welcoming you with open arms, softly taunting to join them, beautifully arranged in the steep blue of sky. They nebulously appeared so close you could almost touch them
“This is it” giving into the weight of your tired eyelids, they fastened for a long night’s sleep. Only to be shaken up by a frantic grip, which brought you back
“LEYIA ! C’mon, DON’T YOU DARE GIVE UP ON ME…Wake up PLEASE !” It was recognisably Lo’ak’s anxious roar that echoed through the clearing. He had came back with help from the Omatikaya hunters to shoot down the presently struggling invaders. Though it was too late to hope saving you, as your lungs were already charred by toxins and internal organs began to rot
“I won’t let you go out this way, we have no options but to resort to the vessel. Forgive me” He then turned to rush right towards the lab, shielded with Neteyam- Kiri- and Spider’s protection. Little Tuk had to sit this one out, but behind Jake’s back she was shed from the raining downfall of bullets and arrows
Inside, Norm was already preparing the capsules for transfer. Tension was at it’s climax : manipulating this type of tech in a hurry could cause him irreversible errors of piloting dysfunctions during reeducation, or more plausibly cut off branches of neuro-connections if done without caution. In other words, the chance for the emergency connection being rejected was at high risk
Splotches of scarlet blood began covering the floor as the large gash on your neck widened. Loa’k pressed on as tightly as he could manage, but your face was loosing it’s tint with minutes
Feeling your head spinning, everything went black after that
Tumblr media
“Leylah ? Can you hear me ?”
.
“Dr was it a success ?”
..
“Woah take it easy now ! Uh, how are you feeling ?”
. . .
“Leylah ? LEYLAH !”
“Huh? Ugh, mh- my head hurts”
Both sighed by the sight of you in motion and silently thanked Eywa for blessing this new birth
“I’m blue…” you exclaimed bewildered. Getting a first time feel for your body was an experience in itself, but you weren’t quite sure what to think of it. Looking back at Lo’ak, he gingerly placed your cool hands onto the warmth of his skin and locked in with your shimmering gold eyes
“You’re just like us now. Like me,
Welcome Home.”

𝐌𝐚 𝐇𝐢’𝐢 𝐒𝐲𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 (𝐌𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫)
Tumblr media
Summary: being the elders’ cherished tsyeym and Jake’s favourite had it’s perks, though dealing with Lo’ak pushing your buttons was surely Eywa’s scheme.
Pairings: Lo’ak x Omaticaya!FemOc
Word count: 1.2K
Warnings/notes: Na’vi insults, Lo’ak using one braincell, jealousy jealousy, slight angst, mentions of assaulting, unedited syntax, enjoy!
Tumblr media
Remnants of light lingered upon your moonlit frame, the Eclipse was enthralling. Readjusting the grip over the quiver equipped onto your fluorescent banshee soul-sister, a few braids of hair followed to blow back upon the gale.
Not far behind was Lo’ak tailing you on his Ikran. Sunset riding had become your thing since he half-heartedly taught you how to ride, through the early years. Partly because your fearless nature almost always meant trouble. Though you couldn’t help being careless, flying about and beyond clouds cleared considerable amounts of headspace. You were daydreaming about him, and not in a way friends would. Still, the boy was provoking at best.
With most relatives having withered away along the Pandoran War, Neytiri took you under her wing as family would. Once in a blue moon, she’d wistfully recite the tales of Tey’loran, your late mother. She was said to be a strategic stronghold to the clan’s fortress, and an accomplished huntress at that. You inherited of her fierce glazing features, and a taste for short-lived thrills.
Growing up, a subtly established lineament was unspokenly settled, which distanced you from other female Na’vi. Sparring with Neteyam, and getting sullied in dirt playing with little Tuk was more familiar than indulging in girls your age whispering folk gossip. Their openly indiscreet stares never went unnoticed, and it was frankly eating away at your nerves. They would always swiftly turn away, after getting caught that is. Flagrantly, without an ounce of shame.
This ostracism was upsetting, even Jake took notice of it upon supper one evening (under the familial tsrul). Except his inquiries were briskly set aside, due to an urgent matter raised by the military council requiring his attention. It was fine, you weren’t seeking attention on purpose in the first place. Still, the subtle comments of “Stuck-up” or “Slut” lingered long, like chimes in your head.
Tumblr media
Finally snapping out of trance, you realised Lo’ak was out of sight and no longer visible through the dark welkin. Obscurity engulfed Pandora’s iridescent fauna, and all nights of life began flickering in phosphorescence. Landing Tse’yeh (your Ikran familiar) onto the adjacent sky archipelago which also turned out to be part of the floating Hallelujah mountains, you searched the area for signs of him.
It would be common finding male Na’vi lurking around the Tree of Souls, meeting their lovers in sheer secrecy. Although you were here for another incentive. Delving in search further on into the illuminated forest, each tread brought you closer towards the sacred Willow. Lo’ak wasn’t the type to find interest in spirit guides. Hell, he’d prefer swinging his bow to attempt imitating Neteyam anytime over prioritising ceremonial duties. Yet, since the day you witnessed his torso covered in woodsprites, it hadn’t been the same.
As you were approaching the floating isle’s core, your stomach churned, a recurrent gut feeling indicating that something wasn’t quite right. The whole area emanated of something eerie, though you were too late in catching onto it. A set of large hands pulled you back hastily to a halt. A pungent smell all too familiar coated the frisk air surrounding your truffle. Imploring Eywa you wished it wasn’t who you guessed to be looming behind. However this time, you had to fend for yourself.
“Lay’etsi” you almost half-whispered. He was one of Lo’ak’s close riding mates (that had gradually grown enthralled by you). Despite rejecting several courting advances, it never clicked that he was coming off as too overwhelming and an overall pushy guy.
“Ma hi’i Leiya. I’ve finally caught you!” You felt suffocated in his presence and was about to lash out when he flashed a coy smirk, tightening the grip on your frail waist. Before you could properly react, Laytsi caught up his quick fingers through your loincloth, which made you gasp in bewilderment.
“Release me, that’s a warning.” Your breath hitched slightly at the unwelcomed touch, knuckles whitening. It usually took you more riling up to loose temper, yet this time your instincts acted up before even thinking twice. In one swift motion, you had groped the lad and thrown him over just like how Jake had taught you. This pulled a rather sharp gasp out of the now grounded boy. Following the chain of brief events, calling him bewildered would be a kick-ass understatement.
However, admiring the sight at your feet (of that Skxawng scurrying away) you noticed something far more concerning. Taking a hold of the object that gathered your interest, realisation slowly hit. It was one of Lo’ak signature arrows that you had previously carved out for him, the beads and coloured feathers were an apparent indicator of that truth.
Instantly, a ruffling in the elevated branches above your head was heard. Indeed you weren’t wrong, there he crouched on a high tree, just a little late to the scene.
Tumblr media
“You didn’t have to help me…” awkwardly spitting out as you rubbed your neck slightly
“Says the reckless snumìna! Rahh, I’m gonna kill that skxawng”
The ride home was a silent one. You felt your friend’s mood sour, making no effort whatsoever to break the ice. Walking on eggshells was not your forté, and in all fairness you should’ve been mad in his stead for leaving in the first place. But to your astonishment, he spoke up in an honest tone of voice that held some degree of sincerity
“You have no idea- I thought he could’ve claimed you-”
“Why did you suddenly disappear then?? I can take care of myself just fine in case you’ve forgotten, but still”
This statement visibility has Lo’ak caught off guard. He knew you were strong, but his father’s admonishing words of keeping you safe had plagued his mind ever since you both precipitated out to catch the sunset auroras. Fidgeting with the rim of his Ikran’s harness and giving you another stern look, he jumped off midair to prop himself onto your riding like it was a child’s play.
“Tsahey- Are you out of your mind??” Shifting his weight, you manoeuvred with trouble to keep steady mounting Tse’yeh (noticeably displeased by the extra charge)
“Crazy? Ha, I just might be…”
With that, Lo’ak placed a few sun lilies in the rim of your ear, loosing himself into the sparkling gold of your fizzy eyes. You were a blushing-blabbering mess, unable to predict any of his intentions.
“Where did you- how? And, why-?” Never had Lo’ak indulged in little gestures, all you’ve known of him was merely meaningless teasing. You weren’t ever expecting or prepared for a hearty confession in a million moons worth of time.
“I made a small detour by Mo’ara Valley to find them, but as you guessed someone beat me to the wooing” Thump.
“You do know these flowers have a deep-rooted significance, right?” Thump Thump. Your heart was combusting under blissful pressure, that much fluffing up would do it. Lo’ak made you loose control of your Ikran mid-flight because you were thereafter all over him.
“Yeah, you’re my little flower after all. Always have been ma hi’i syulang”

𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 (𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞)
Tumblr media
Summary: in which you find your lover bleeding out an alarming amount, after protecting his siblings from Quaritch’s unit of sky soldiers.
Pairings: Neteyam x Metkayina!FemOc
Word count: 300ish
Warnings/notes: fuzzy movie recollection, established relationship, mentions of death, Na’vi expressions (still self-explanatory), superpowers?? all hail Eywa
Tumblr media
Everything happened too fast. One minute you were held hostage on SeaDragon’s deck alongside Tsireya and Tuktirey, the next Neteyam who came untying your tethered hands held onto his chest as the water dyed in a crimson red beneath him. The colour of his face was draining at a rapid rate, loosing consciousness in the process.
With Lo’ak dragging his brother’s weight onto a nearby floating terrain, you quivered uneasily while scanning his body imbrued of vermilion. Tears flowed like streams around you. His family now reunited all hovered close, holding bitter expressions and muffled sobs. Soon began a raging downpour.
As a dark storm clouded the sky, you pierced into Neteyam’s glittering eyes which were intrinsically focused on your petite figure. Despite the hint of agony, he gently scooped your cheeks to trace the stripes there, simultaneously brushing back your ear a few strands of wavering hair.
He was shot through the chest from return fire by a group of human expatriates. It was too late, the bleeding would not stop as the bullet had an exit wound. You knew better than anyone that he couldn’t be saved. Yet, placing both hands onto the gash you prayed Eywa zealously.
You had an ability only few Na’vi knew of, the nature of nurturing living beings and healing the injured. Only, this blessing required a great amount of spiritual energy, which left you drained and dormant for days after operation. Chanting to yourself and redirecting focus to your squeezing hands, they radiated a fervid glow.
Fluttering open your dilated pupils, you witnessed each one of the Sullys sequentially placing their palms atop of the beam whit, symbolically giving you strength this way. Nodding to each other as you sang, Neytiri accompanied this endeavour through strings of tears.
“Atanti ngal molunge – You brought the light
Lawnol a mì te’lan – Great joy of the heart
Ngaru irayo seiyi ayoe – We thank you
Tonìri tìreyä – For the nights of life
Ngaru irayo seiyi ayoe – We thank you
Srrìri tìreyä – For the days of life
Lie si oe atanur – I experienced the light
Munge sno ne’ìm - Bring him back
Ma Eywa, ma Eywa – O Eywa, o Eywa”

𝐍𝐚’𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 ’𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧 (𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐲)

Tumblr media
Summary: having fulfilled the Tsaheylu with Neteyam, it was decided to keep the relationship a secret. However, you were oblivious that someone had been watching all along.
Pairings: Neteyam x Metkayina!FemOc
Word count: Oneshot spin-off (short)
Warnings/notes: established relationship, suggestive fluff, beef with Aonung’s gang, kids fighting (chaos), jealous Nete, Na’vi expressions (self-explanatory)
Tumblr media
“Don’t go anywhere near my daughter, Sully”
You were found out. Both parents were at a loss for words. They disapproved of the whole affair with Neteyam, manifestly because of bad timing. The news was echoed like sea tides, swiftly widespread among the Awa’atlu. Up until reaching Jake’s ears. After fervently lashing out at his son for causing further trouble, your lover could barely meet your blubbering eyes, head hanged low as he left the family’s marui.
Tonowari made it clear that disobeying the given order of distancing, leaving to find Teyam covertly would get his familiars evicted from the reef territory, perpetually. You had no say in this decision, as Father’s intention was to pick a man befitting the position of his future son in-law. Though, you didn’t want any other man. Regardless, ballant public attempts of courting soon ensued in waves.
Many Na’vi males festered up with gifts in hand and dripping honey syrup praise, wishing to prove themselves alongside arranged marriage proposals, but to no avail. Gents had their hopes witnessing your mate laying low, taking the freedom of acting out on their impulses. Soberly knowing that the forest boy was heavily kept in check, with his righteous title still left lingering as an unofficial binding. However this only made you shrivel back into your shell, their efforts would bear no fruition, you would choose no other than him.
Tumblr media
“I told you to leave her alone, Freak”
That was the last shove Neteyam needed to send a flying iron punch into Aonung’s loose jawline. Thus getting in a heated brawl with his previously snickering friends. Lo’ak had already been eagerly awaiting the ready signal to knock some sense into them for insulting Kiri, of “demon blood” or whatnot. However, having to explain themselves about who drew the first blow in presence of two Chief Ole’eyktans was certainly a lesser fun activity.
As the most adept healer in this situation, You were unavoidably called for to mend the half-baked dimwits, and tend to their wounds. It wasn’t easy nevertheless. Aonung didn’t even bother looking at you while patching him up, too embarrassed that you intuitively and unspokenly knew he was guilty of leaking your private ventures with a certain blue boy.
“I’m sorry sis”
You purposefully pushed down on his now opened cut, at which he stiffly winced
“Ow! Okay, okay I didn’t really mean it, but he still totally deserved it-“
*smack*
“Watch it, I already have a headache as it is. Go apologise, now”
With that, he didn’t utter another word, scurrying towards the opening of your tent. As you were intently cleaning the aid material. It took long to notice the approaching footsteps of another. Looking up, your dainty eyes widened at the towering sight of who stood there waiting.
Tumblr media
“Neteyam.”
Before you could even treat him, he spun you in a yearning kiss which took you by the heels. Hardly have you ever seen your Teyam this needy, deepening the first innocent onslaught into a feverishly make-out session that led you breaking away for air. But he was relentless by chasing after your glossy lips and leaving peppermint pecks all over. All before resting in the crevice of your neck, chest heaving unsteadily with it’s every rise and fall.
“I missed you, yawne”
“Nìteng tìyawn, but we’re not allowed to meet this way. Father will see-“
“I’ve proved myself to him, he’s accepted me as his son”
“He what? How upon Eywa-?” the news barely ringed into your ears. You couldn’t conceive it, after just a few eclipses apart he managed to persuade your indomitable dad into giving up and ceding his daughter to whom he refused so ardently?
“Jake helped me out, we’ve made a promise to the Metkayina, unifying our Clans. I’ve also passed a few trials, so uh, some pampering could help me regain strength…”
Joy filled your chest as you caught your mate in a melting embrace. Relishing in the moment, you remembered all the little instances captured of him visibly jealous and about to ravage flocking suitors, or help out your community. Chuckling to yourself, you thanked Eywa for leading Neteyam into your life. Placing one last chaste kiss onto his temple, you rested your head there, eyes closed.
“Nga yawne lu oer. Yours truly, always”.

𝐍𝐚’𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 ’𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧 (𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐲)
Tumblr media
Summary: As the eldest daughter of Tonowari and Ronal, you help the Sully kids adapt to their new environment. However, a certain blue boy catches your eye.
Pairings: Neteyam x Metkayina!FemOc
Word count: Oneshot (short)
Warnings/notes: friends to lovers, suggestive fluff, mother Eywa slayy, smitten Lo’ak being dumb, bold Neteyummy, Na’vi expressions (self-explanatory)
Tumblr media
An early commotion stirred up the Na’vi of Awa’atlu, our home village. The tranquility of our oceanic tribe had been aroused with curiosity by the arrival of Omatikayan outsiders. Toruk Makto, the forest Olo’eyktan had come soliciting hospitality and shelter for his family. Mother was displeased at first, but Father agreed to the Sully’s request, after little thought.
Tsireya, Aonung, and Roxto were assigned to teach them the Metkayina ways, as guides for their children. I as the eldest on the other hand was instructed to keep at the Tsahìk training until further notice, but I would’ve rather lent a hand for my siblings (even though they’re much capable on their own). The sky people were once said to be dangerous after all.
Among them stood a cute child who hid behind her mother’s embrace, another young tìlor who appeared quite tired from the long journey, a skxawng who kept ogling at ma ‘Reya, and the last who seemed to be his older brother. The latter looked rather out of place, stunningly awkward but adorned with a handsome face. His eyes eventually met my gaze so I shot him a welcoming smile and drew back to attend the upcoming rite preparations, all of which were for “my coming of age”.
Tumblr media
“Who was that?”
Neteyam found himself captivated by the glimpse of a foreign appearance. “My sister, Te’ Leylah. She won’t be joining us so don’t get your hopes up” Aonung had made himself a little taller by spitting venom, and was frankly irritated by the newcomer’s sudden interest in his tsmuke. The reef’s breeze had already caught an earful of gossips for him to know that you were desired by many, if not all. Hell, even his ilu riding mates had also pestered the poor boy with mating proposals.
“Stay away from her”
Roxto added, clearly playing the defensive card. Lo’ak watched the scene as a scheming grin grew larger across his lips. Neteyam was trying to keep face but was undoubtedly pining for you. With a nudge to his arm, the firstborn knew he had been figured out, and was fleetingly denying it.
“Never seen you flush in such a dark shade, was she that pretty?” In a swift motion Lo’ak was hit to the head for his irksome antics. “Hush, don’t make a fool out of yourself. I’ll tell you later..”
“Ooh she must be then!”
“Rahh shut up!”
And with that, they settled into their new home after quarrelling for what felt like ages.
Tumblr media
“Breathe from your inner chest, not the nose!”
It had been almost a day since you returned post-completion of the ceremonial training. Your birthday was forthcoming and the trouble of finding a life partner was eminently weighing you on. That until the sight of familiar faces came into view.
The na’rìng children were struggling to adapt to the water, even under Tsireya’s stringent mentoring. At the sound of approaching footsteps, Sister gladly accepted the offer of helping her assist them in diaphragm breathing. Relief could be read in a few of the Sully kid’s faces, as ‘Reya can be relentless in her teachings at times.
Neteyam was the one who encountered most difficulties in mastering the simple technique, despite his diligent nature. “No it’s wrong, concentrate! Make way for air through the abdomen, then guide it towards your upper body, like this” placing one hand on his heart, and the other on his stomach, you traced the stripes of the torso to mimic the flow of oxygen. But his heartbeat still didn’t calm.
“Slow your pulse, you must breathe slowly”
“I can’t”
sitting as still as a leaf he retorques in a small voice, unable to meet your eyes. “Please remove your hands, I’ll try again”. He gingerly gripped away your grasp of his chest and attempted to regain composure, this time applying the advice you gave previously. “What an odd personality” you thought to yourself.
Tumblr media
After learning the basics, the lessons moved onto an intermediate level : ilu riding. By successfully performing the tsaheylu (which took a while getting used to) it came time to test the waters. Lo’ak fell face-first again and again trying to impress Tsireya, while Teyam and I giggled from the sidelines of the ridiculous spectacle unfolding before us.
“Don’t be like him, hold the harness tightly and you won’t fall”.
“It’s no different from Ikrans right?”
Chewing out his nerves, Neteyam feinted confidence up until the instant his ilu jerked him off and beyond into the bae, making him spit salt water in distaste. Yet putting his pride aside, the boy indulged in the little laughs you weren’t so good at concealing that had both of you crack up in unison.
“I think you need a little more practice bigwig”.
As he made his way back to the shoreline, you took notice of his extrinsic features that somehow never appealed to you before.. the sight of him drenched, with drops of sea beads trickling down his neck, and the way his tone arms just glistened- oh Eywa. You felt ashamed for checking out Jake Sully’s son, and soon-to-be Clan leader. Surely he must have been exceedingly popular with the females from his homeland. He must’ve already been mated. Shaking off the intrusive thoughts, you cooled your head off by joining Neteyam in the cold water.
Tumblr media
“I heard it was your birthday. Happy coming of age Layia”
It was just before Eclipse when Neteyam showed up by the remote lagoons with a small bouquet of syulangs, and a starconch pearl necklace in hand. Everyone had been preparing wishes and presents for your special day, but his was unexpectedly precious.
“Turn around, I’ll put it on you”
little did he know that your heart was quietly thumping from his light touch. You had become genuinely close through the time spent off riding your ilus until sunset each day. He told you all about his land and you shared knowledge about yours too. Ultimately, unbeknownst the two of you, feelings had ineluctably matured from the fertile friendship.
“It’s beautiful Teyam, thank you”
“You’re beautiful”
The last comment had you biting back your lower lip, unsure of what to respond. Was he being thoughtful ? Or was he courting you? Not knowing the answers to these questions had you silently anticipating, but for what exactly? Granted, his following inquiries brought you tipping over the edge.
“Now that you’re of age, have you chosen a mate yet?”
“No, I haven’t thought about it. What about you? Have you been mated?”
“I’ve chosen a woman, but she has yet to choose me back.”
For the first time, you felt your breath uneasy. You’d be lying to say you weren’t jealous. The thought of him with another choke your heart, tears also began to stir. Before revealing a vulnerable state you readied yourself to leave, but was stopped halfway by a back hug.
“Oel ngati kameie Leyia, it has always been you”
“You’re lying, it can’t be true”
“There’s only you, will you be my mate?”
Turning around, you met his gentle stare awaiting your response. He was sincere.
“Yes, I will, ma na’rìng ‘evan”.
