in case you were wondering if anyone saw you mess up, the answer is yes. My friend and I were both spectating at the exact moment you tried to thermal thrust into the bridge directly above you. We both saw you bonk you head, fall, then look around to see if anyone saw that. we both then proceeded to immediately comment to each other with “that was sad.”

self-care woes

ya know, self care would be so much easier if I were someone in front of me.

maybe it’s because I love taking care of other people but if I were someone in front of me, I would pull myself into a hug and tell myself how amazing I’m doing. I’d help myself clean my room and organize so I won’t be overwhelmed anymore. I’d make myself dinner so I can see myself smile and enjoy good food. I’d talk to myself and help myself do creative projects and stay on task. I’d guide myself through work and demands and hold my hand and tell myself supporting words.

I’d be able to love myself fiercely and gently. However, I am not a person in front of me and it is harder to do self-care when you are experiencing yourself rather than seeing yourself.

Spies Like Us

the little moments of TF2 is really what makes this game so fun.

earlier in a match I was playing spy and while disguised as an enemy, I proceeded to bump into an enemy spy, also disguised. We immediately turned around and found ourselves staring blankly at each other, befuddlement and realization hitting us. We just stood there for a solid few seconds before taking off our disguises only to continue staring. There was befuddlement and tension and even camaraderie as we chose to put down our weapons and just look at each other in silence.

in the end, we both just walked away like nothing had happened, but that moment lives rent free in my head. This is why TF2 is such a good game, you really can’t get this anywhere else.

Playing engie

playing engineer is crazy. My spy senses are at 100% and while as other classes I’m often blind to such things, even going so far as to heal and protect disguised spies, as engineer I instantly know if someone is trying to hurt my buildings. It is an innate instinct and I immediately go full mama bear whenever there’s a spy in a 20 foot radius.
