A conversation I don’t think yall are ready for yet is that you can love a character sooooo much and relate to them and see yourself in them but at the end of the day they’re still fake and that’s why someone else’s take on them or headcanon about them isn’t a direct message about you or insult to your identity. If your identity is so wrapped up in a character that you can’t distinguish between reality and fiction, then you are the problem. Not some random person online who interprets the character differently than you.

Everyone makes jokes about Kalim being basically royalty with his riches and ignore the depressed second prince who let's his hyena who wakes him up steal shit out of his wallet on the daily.

"jamil is in the right and kalim is a monster" "kalim is in the right and jamil is a monster" maybe theyre both not monsters. maybe theyre both very traumatized teenage boys who are coping with that trauma by forming a codependant relationship that's harmful to both of them. maybe that codependency and the uneven power dynamic caused both of them to act in ways that they shouldn't have. maybe they have a complex relationship to each other that can't and shouldn't be reduced to one of them being a monster and the other being a innocent victim. idk though.

Random Q&A with random opinions

1. Which country do you wish they would explore more in the future?

For lore reasons? Sunset Savana and Scalding Sands.

I mean this is the world where the villains won, Scar was basically a dictator and we know that meritocracy is a thing there. So I really want to know how this affects there and his descendants (Falena, Cheka and Leona).

Scalding Sands... I like the ironic turn off the fact that Jafar wanted to free himself from the sultans and he really did it - because as we know the Al Asim family has more money than the royal family now. So Jafar free himself of the system but at the same time he turns everything worse (looks to Jamil for example, this guy is literally trapped in the same shit system that Jafar tried to scape lol)

For aesthetic? The Coral...

Note: Island of Woe or whatever that place is called. Again Hades won so... All the other greek/romans gods are dead dead or just trapped in some cage? (As you can see I have so many questions about the lore in this world)

2. Do you have hope they will do it? (This exploration of its lore)

Oh no, we know very well that we can't expect too much of a gacha game especially when it comes from a country who does not fit in the North European or Asian aesthetic so my expectations are basically zero I'm ok with the small events there and here. It's enough for me

Cater is so well written and I really want to understand better his relationship with his sisters and his depression, also help him with it

Rook... I just want to know what is wrong with this guy. Look for him, he is adorable.

Note: ik ik some of them - Jade and Kalim - are too difficult to have it and tbh I debut Kalim would have an overblot (he doesn't look the type who will hold things inside him) and I'm ok with it because this still would make sense with the character no have an overblot

Jade, however, would be so much fun ... Someone pisses him off so bad that him snap

Cater more because of his depression and feelings

Now if you think I want Ruggie to have an overblot because Leona, I'm sorry but I can't see this happening. Ruggie and Leona have a strong bond and they trust each other, so maybe something linked with the Sunset Savana's system itself, as they sing in their dorm song "in this unfair world let's bring the eclipse" (this is not exactly the world's in the song but if you listen you understand what's I am trying to say here)

5. Would you see your Yuu as yourself ? Would your Yuu date one of them?

I don't see the reader as myself (I've been playing enough D&D to understand that seeing the reader as yourself ruins the experience because everything a character does or says, whether good or bad for y/a, can affect your judgment in the game when you see them as yourself or extension of yourself)

Now listen this is something I do because I have played D&D in the past and oh boy there's reason for it, so I am always creating a different character in my mind, so if you see your Yuu as yourself that's your own you

The relationship... Nah my Yuu is more money sexual so this is why you can find them on Octavinelle

Scarabia and Savanaclaw dorm songs are my favorites because it's about the characters and not about the dorm or classic movies, it feels so personal and reflects the boys so well. Their strangles, dreams, ambitions... Everything is showing in their music

Heartslabyul and Octavinelle are also so good to hear! I'm so happy for my boys

A little opinion about Kalim and Jamil relationship ( mentions of their dream but nothing too big or specific) (+ I'll also make a parallel with Leona and Ruggie relationship)

Tbh I don't see an easy way to fix their friendship....

...Yes, they are both two children trapped in the adult game; and Jamil doesn't want to hate Kalim, he hates those who have something they don't deserve when he can't have anything for himself, Kalim represents this, but Kalim is kind to him, so Jamil hates himself for hating Kalim because Kalim will never make it easy, Kalim will never be like "them" and Kalim... Kalim was left in the dark, not knowing half of Jamil's problems or understanding Jamil's wounds.

It is possible to draw a small parallel between Jamil and Leona

Both are dissatisfied with the system of their own world, but Leona internalizes the hatred he feels in a spiral of self-destruction and Jamil externalizes this by becoming cynical and bitter towards others who he believes do not deserve the position they have.

And thinking about it, the difference between Leona and Jamil is that Leona accepted help. He accepted Ruggie by his side, they worked together, do evil things together, laugh together.

In Leona's nightmare, the one who is against him is Ruggie, because Leona, in his depression, doesn't see himself as worthy of that trust, but in Ruggie's dream, Leona is a glorious king, someone who gave food and school to everyone equally, where everyone celebrates and sees Leona as good as he sees the leon. However Jamil and Kalim... Jamil didn't accept help, he rejected it... (I'll not do a big spoiler of their dream) but in Kalim's dream, he and Jamil are happy because Kalim always thought that Jamil was always happy in his position, so that desire to do parties and make everyone happy because he believed that Jamil liked it too, and the truth is that Jamil felt exploited... Without a voice... where no one would ever help him in anything and just give him more work....

Kalim wanted the past back because he thinks Jamil was happy in the past but Jamil... Jamil is so hurt and bitten by the system....

Leona and Ruggie are aware that they are both trapped in the system, but they see themselves as equals

Leona apologized to Ruggie and the other accepted it. Leona doesn't see himself as worthy of that trust, but Ruggie still trusts him because the basis of their relationship is this crazy sincerity that they both have with each other. (You can see it as platonic, family or romantic but their bond is - as Rook describes - strong as diamond)

Jamil and Kalim don't have that.

Jamil was given to Kalim as a servant and no matter how kind and fun Kalim is, he will never understand how Jamil is trapped in this system, because no matter how good Kalim is, Jamil will never be anything more or less than a servant, a voiceless slave.

Now in Kalim's view... oh my sweet summer child, Kalim has traumas, he was kidnapped several times and these kidnappings were probably of people Kalim trusted, uncles or family friends or even brothers without magic. So Jamil's betrayal shows that he is alone, that he can't even trust Jamil, the one he thought would be his best friend and trusted servant. And this makes him a little angry and cold towards Jamil and rightly so, because Jamil's betrayal hurt him deeply.

And it is because of these dynamics that it is easier to see Leona and Ruggie together in a happy future than Jamil and Kalim side by side in a future

Because Kalim's kindness blinds him to Jamil's wounds....
