hiiii ♡ my bff is a hairdresser & i can say with confidence that salons love when non-regulars show up. they love seeing new people and trying new styles they wouldnt normally get to do on their regulars!! EVERYONE needs to get their hair cut, its not weird to see tons of ppl from many walks of life in a salon (when i see my bestie to get my hair done, im usually there for 4-6 hrs so i see lots of people come & go & of course bestie talks about her job with me lots.)

you could also try looking for a punk or queer salon near you. theyre usually a bit harder to search for but they absolutely exist & are a very different energy than the ultra-fem energy of typical salons!

whatever salon you might go to, the staff will do their best to make sure youre comfortable. ime they usually ask you if you'd like a tea or some water. also, if you can, consider trying to get an "apprentice" hairdresser - theyre more likely to be closer to your age and will be waaayyyy less anxious to interact with (theyre not less experienced or worse btw, apprentice just means they might call over another hairdresser in the salon for their opinion or some help)

I’ve been trying it on with some other clothes and it just doesn’t do well being tucked - either into the bottoms or my sports bra

So what I’m thinking is some good quality leggings, a black , gold or red hair bow, some gold earrings and a the previously stated loafers.

I’m thinking that should work out well!

Sadly just means I won’t really be able to wear that until I get the bow and the shoes ahah

I’ve been getting ads from the state I live in about how conversion therapy is now illegal and it brings up so many mixed feelings for me.

One the one hand like thank god it’s illegal now.

But on the other hand I makes me slip a bit because it became illegal not long after I’d gone through it and gotten out. So I keep thinking why couldn’t it have happened sooner ? Why did I have to go through that ?
