When it's good, it's great. Really great. But it's those little things that begin to chip away at her heart. The way he sighs when she mentions the laundry. The way he's turned her into the nagging woman. It's hard to believe he cares...

She just wanted him to care.

“I don’t think I can hang out with a lightweight all night,” he teased back. She rolled her eyes playfully. 

“All night, huh?”

His eyes twinkled. “Yeah, cause that’s how long you’re gonna be throwing up. And I’mma have to be the one to make sure you’re not lyin on your back,” he chastised. She made a gesture like he was talking too much, which earned a scoffing laughter from him. 

“Right, and that would be awful when you were hoping to get lucky, yeah?” Word vomit… Her brows furrowed like she’d just confused herself. Shit, maybe she was a lightweight. 

Sans was laughing though. One of those easy laughs that didn’t take her too seriously, or didn’t get too flustered by her flirtatiousness. She’d always had a risqué streak, and he’d never seemed bothered by it one bit. Her stomach fluttered. 

She wondered briefly if she meant it… or if it was just the liquor talking.

“That’s fuckin’ priceless,” he sighed. “Well, I don’t wanna be buzzed while you’re over here about to fall off the seat—”

“—Oh my God, I am not falling off my chair!”

A teasing shuuuushhh, escaped him. She gasped and batted away his raised finger. He chuckled shittily along. 

“Grillby!” He flagged their friend down before turning back to her with a fond smile on his face. She smiled back. She couldn’t help it. “Well, howzabout a Shirley Temple. For old time’s sake?” He asked. 

“I didn’t know you could be so sentimental,” she crooned back. He shrugged. 

“Yeah, guess I’ve just been feelin’ it with Paps gone. And you gone… it’s good to have you back,” he murmured. 

Grillby was quick to set the Shirley temple down for her and she took it without another thought. Rested her flushed face against the cool, perspiring glass. He had definitely missed her… Was this the first time she knew how he felt about her? That he’d missed her? 

She sent him a doe-eyed look. 

“It’s good to be back,” she said.

Y'know - canon Sans is PROBABLY TERRIBLE in a relationship now that I think about it lol

It's the lack of participation in the daily upkeep of life for me.

At the end of the day, while yes, men will clean up their act to GET the person they want... once they're comfortable, old habits resurface and cause problems.

Sans is a dude who skates by on the bare minimum.

Sure when push comes to shove he pulls out all the stops, like... *after* you've killed everyone. (And I know it's because he's hopeless and desperate and moreso cares about punishing the player than it is about stopping you... But apply that energy to a relationship... Yeah....)

Do I think he would be just so awful all the time? No. Of course not. He would be a great guy to be around. He's fun, he notices things, he can be surprisingly caring —

Which is why I think his partner would keep giving him chances to clean it up. Because when it's good, it's great but... It's also really important to participate in the labor of a relationship. Putting all of the work onto one person will eventually wear them down until they just can't do it anymore. Then that resentment begins to build up...

Until eventually everything about him puts a bad taste in your mouth.

I kinda hope this can become a trend of sorts, I'd love to see everyone's version of Frans related content to the audio, it'd be so cute. But it also took me a good few weeks, maybe a month, to make something this simple. I haven't kept track. Maybe one day in the future I can redraw this but better. I wanted to do a different pose, before settling on this because of all the different versions of each character and I wanted to try making it as easy to follow with your eyes as possible

Why do you ship Sans x Frisk? As a person who ships them myself, what do you see in them, like about them? Personality traits, situations, tropes etc, anything that comes to mind, what makes you enjoy them and continue to breathe life to them?

Honestly, for me, personally? There's no satisfying answer for this because it just kind of clicked. They're the same height and they look good together aesthetically. I ultimately ship Sans with a human. Frisk is The Human (idc about what sticklers consider canon, canon is honestly dead to me, but whatever)

Hold on... Let me pull a better reason out of my ass real quick.

His mystery, his unattainability (Frisk can flirt with everyone but him, which could mean many things, but I think it's cute if it's like a super flirtatious person that can't seem to function around the person they actually want), the outings he takes Frisk on just to chat. The fact he seems to trust Frisk with sensitive information? The little pranks.

💔 In Game Geno Route:

The neverending fight to the death. The "I'm onto your tricks" The judge vs the Executioner dynamic. Unstoppable force meets immovable object.

Aaaaannnnnnd, reeeaaaallllly, I started shipping Frans because of Underfell. It just makes even *more* sense with Underfell because Sans is such a... I consider him the most romantic of all Sanses? Weird and twisted romance, of course, but still. Hence why the main content on my page is Underfell related (I'm starting to branch out though, aren't we all proud?? Haha)

So yeah. There's your answer.

Impulsively writing a new fic loosely inspired by The Break Up (I'm experiencing the most intense writers block known to man and need a lil boost of creativity)

And it's the best depiction of Frans I've ever seen in my life. The only one I can truly believe would be healthy and last for years.

Let me be the one to ask. How did you come up with this Queerplatonic Frans concept? What drew you into making this?

Alright so, to be completely honest...I actually don't truly know how Romance works to execute it myself 😬

Haha yup, sadly, the concept of Romance and Romantic Attraction didn't naturally come to me my whole life and I had a hard time understanding them. (Skill issue, amiright?) So I learned about them through fiction. And even then, my understanding of Romance was a little bit different from what it's usually is (spoiler: it wasn't actually Romance, the word I needed was "Queerplatonic").

I've drawn ship arts before I started drawing Frans and let me tell you, almost all of them were 2 characters just standing next to each other, no hugs, no kisses. Maybe they'll look at each other with fondness. And I was like "hell yeah, I've achieved Romance 😌" pfft.

My 2020 Frans works were where my ship art skills got improved. But you can still see that they aren't explicitly romantic (like, the first time I drew a Frans forehead kiss was for a request). Whatever, I was drawing stuffs about my fav lil guys and I was happy... and yet a tiny part of me wasn't feeling it, like it felt...odd to call them romantic. All these shippy art and I still felt uncomfortable to draw something extremely Romantic. (...this kinda sounds similar to a comphet kind of situation, you get what I'm saying?)

2 years later, I learned about the term "queerplatonic" and just like that, everything made sense =o Now THAT'S the kind of relationship I've been thinking about all these years and it felt magical. Suddenly, with this new knowledge, drawing shippy art felt more comfortable for me, cozy even. Cuz now, the "romance" I'm making is like something a little special for me.

And then I thought "what if I...👀" I grabbed Frisk and Sans like figurines and used them to make my own little ideas of a queerplatonic relationship as they were the perfect materials to work with for me.

I've actually been busying myself with thinking up ideas for them a year before I revealed it to my mutuals, even long before I revealed it publicly 😅

Still, my Roommate Banter AU Frans is still classic romantic. I've only been making funny lil contents of them but I swear! They're secretly crushing on each other, there's romance underneath! I just suck at Romance 😭

So yeah, TL:DR, I don't completely understand romance so I did what I felt comfortable and did actually get the most, approach a ship with a queerplatonic lens.

Tho I'm still learning about Romance cuz there're other ships I'd love to draw shippy art for XD
